Flipz Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Being useless for the entire quest? A good way to guarantee no Perma-KO! Just kidding. I am sure there will be some sort of catalyst, and Arthur will come to full consciousness of his true inner demi-god and destroy all life around him as he loses it in an Avatar-state like experience. ... *begins massive re-write to reduce predictability* And I seem to remember someone getting upset about Atramor being useless for an entire battle. Hey, I was upset because his CLASS was useless, and because he ran and got Triad killed. Quote
Endgame Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 To be fair, Arthur did go Avatar mode once before. But he still got his megablocks utterly handed to him by someone who wasn't even trying. I love writing for antagonists so, so much... gets the stress out, y'know? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) We got damaged goods? I feel like returning them to the Progg manufacturers. I want to speak to their manager! And kill him too. Also, I just realized that I might not have been clear about my character's motivation for his questioning himself after killing Aquos. He didn't regret killing Aquos (in the slightest), but he suddenly realized that he was taking pleasure in hurting the beast, which made him question his feelings. He has since decided that he couldn't possibly feel hatred, and therefor has not faltered from his high self standards. I love writing for antagonists so, so much... gets the stress out, y'know? Oh, I know. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited January 28, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Endgame Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 You know, most people are happy when they receive already wounded enemies... *Scratch scratch* double Eidolon's HP *scratch scratch* Quote

Endgame Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Quadruple or bust, good sir! I'll make him level 438 too, to seal the deal! Quote

UsernameMDM Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) Thoughts on this item idea?: Spiked Shield SP: ??? Counterstriking on any damage taken (Free hits, rolled damage, rolled special damage) Suitable for Knights, all Knight advanced classes and Dragoons all classes that can use a shield. And if this gets approved, I think HOKE should be the first one to get it! Edited January 28, 2013 by UsernameMDM Quote

And if this gets approved, I think HOKE should be the first one to get it! I have something similar planned, but it uses a slightly different effect. Conterstriking is great, but I feel that it's such a useful new ability that it should have to take up an artifact slot (unless it's part of a particular Expert Class). Then again, one or two Counterstriking shields might be OK... Quote

Then again, one or two Counterstriking shields might be OK... I've seen a few items in player inventories that had artifact like qualities to them but were not artifacts. Plus, I think it adds more flavor to the knight meat-shield extravaganza! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I want it. I'm going to eventually need a backup shield that hasn't been Mythrilized anyways, in case I get my hands on some Adamantite. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) Endgame. Not too happy, the black makes the transclear not easy to see, but it does give it a creepy look! Edited January 28, 2013 by Scubacarrot Quote

Rumble Strike Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Nice work Scuba! I have been loving the antagonism between Sorrow and Guts all through the Quest, and now Maurice is pitching in. I think Sorrow will just go off into a mountain and sit on his big pile of money in a huff! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I think Sorrow loves annoying others too much to do that! Quote
The Legonater Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Q53ers: No, that's not a virus. If you don't want to mess about trying to read it, basically Arthur (or is it...? ) is saying the result will be the same whether he stays with Gray and the others back at base, or if he goes to the Court with the others. I can make out most the words, but it's largely the same ramblings of Chaos Dyric's used to... just creepier. Quote
Endgame Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I think Sorrow loves annoying others too much to do that! Does he come off as that? I have a heart-wrencher planned for Sorrow when we return from our General-slayin'. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 So Flipz, would Arthur be of use anywhere in the next battles? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Endgame, I could add some special effects to make the head have a blue ghost/spirit feel if you want. Quote
Endgame Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 No thank you - i was contemplating adding them myself, but I felt that'd be too much of use of outside programs to modify an existent figure. I have weird standards but thanks for the offer! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 This picture is completely fake. I fit together multiple pictures with different images of torsos, legs, head pieces, etc. All on Microsoft power-point... Quote
