Sandy Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Thoughts on this item idea?: Spiked Shield SP: ??? Counterstriking on any damage taken (Free hits, rolled damage, rolled special damage) Suitable for Knights, all Knight advanced classes and Dragoons all classes that can use a shield. I more or less had that idea lined up for Henry in Quest 51, but Sandy didn't like the idea of a Counterstriking shield. I still don't. I wonder if a shield that does a fixed amount of damage would be OK? Or a "spiked shield" that inflicts the Bleeding-effect to those who damage the hero? Hmm... Perhaps. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hmm... Perhaps. I'll take it! What about a stun effect? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 You want to be able to win battles by doing nothing? Quote
Sandy Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 You want to be able to win battles by doing nothing? Crap! You're right! A shield shouldn't cause automatic damage, since then any enemy who wouldn't be able to breach the defense would be a goner. Quote
Khorne Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Sham Poo is about to meet Daggerfall again. I wonder how this will turn out, since their last meeting wasn't quite fruitful (quest #15). Let's hope Sham Poo doesn't spill the beans about Jolly Roger's fate . Quote

There are ways around it. *cough*Docken*coughcoughcoughcoughcoughcough* If I ever hosted Docken, all enemies would ignore SP and favor Wardens. Quote
Flare Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) If I ever hosted Docken, all enemies would ignore SP and favor Wardens. Remind me to not go on any more quests with Docken... (either that or I'll switch classes... again ) Edited January 29, 2013 by Flare Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Remind me to not go on any more quests with Docken... (either that or I'll switch classes... again ) Only Wardens named Docken. Quote
Endgame Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 For clarification, the Progg Lurker was the intended rare enemy for this battle: he had a 1/6 chance of appearing in every area thus far, but due to the basement's dark/musty nature, he had a 1/2 chance of spawning in this room. Rare Proggs are tough... but also drop sweet loot! Have at im', 48ers! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Not as sweet as if I land some specials... What does a taboo apple do anyways? Quote
Endgame Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 You'll find out the next time you make it to an anteroom! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 What could I expect... It was worth a shot. Quote
Zepher Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Well, that took a few hours. But it was worth it. Boom bam dead. Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Love it Zeph! So many new twists. Can't wait to win this one! Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) The parties in 53 seem to be backwards or at least Hoke & Dyric. I gave him the Cultist Hat to fight the undead at the Court. But oh well! Edited January 30, 2013 by UsernameMDM Quote
Zepher Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Nope, parties are right. I went with what Cronk posted, and everyone is where they should be according to that. Edited January 30, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Flipz Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Screwed. So screwed. They're all so screwed. Meanwhile, Arthur gets to have character development instead of getting pissed off by more Court dickery! Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Nope, parties are right. I went with what Cronk posted, and everyone is where they should be according to that. Yeah, saw that. Explain soulless again. Quote
Zepher Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) In her case, it just means no elemental weakness or strengths. It's there for story purposes only. Meanwhile, Arthur gets to have character development a quiet nap instead of getting pissed off by more Court dickery! Edited January 30, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Flipz Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Yeah, saw that. Explain soulless again. Soulless cannot be KO'd, if I recall correctly. The only reason you should target the Magician would be to avoid a Free Hit, and I have a feeling she'll owe you if you manage to leave her alive at the end of the fight... Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 A Spellspin here would be COMPLETELY awesome. Good thing I can attack twice and have lucky! Quote
