PsyKater Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I don't think that anyone has EVER called Haldor by his surname. Yep. I always say Amma as well. I created that name for that purpose. I realized though that I use her initial name if it comes to her bitter side. An I get that feeling from the names as well. Grumpy, bittersweet, greedy Stigveladi vs. kind, warm Grannie Amma. And THAT was not on purpose I noticed as well that her name should be written Stigwellathy to imitate the correct pronouncation. Stigveladi is closer to the original though. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I don't think that anyone has EVER called Haldor by his surname. Has Haldor met Docken? I can't remember. If he has, I'm sure Docken addressed him with his last name as "Master Skovgaard".MegaBloks, is it roleplaying that I always do that? Quote
Flipz Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Sounds gut good! edit Short question: How do you guys pronounce "Stigveladi Kötturin" (and how "Amma") and what do you think of when you hear her names? Is there a difference between Stiveladi and Amma (i.e. what conception do you have from her when you hear the names)? I pronounce it "STIG-vel-ah-di COT-tur-in", is that incorrect? I pronounce Dreyrugur "DRAY-ruh-ger", which I think is the correct pronunciation. My real pronunciation challenge is Nerwen's last name. :tongut: Quote
The Legonater Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 This is the perfect reason why heroes should have easily pronounceable and spellable names. Like 'Dyric Rone'. Quote
Sandy Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 My real pronunciation challenge is Nerwen's last name. :tongut: I don't find it hard at all. 'C' is pronounced as a 'k' when it's in front of 'a' and as an 's' when it's in front of 'i', after all. So it's "kalmkasil", at least to me. Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Cat-o'-Nine-Tails - WP:9, damage is divided to all enemies, suitable to rogues Doesn't do damage to everyone. Damage is divided among them all. Quote
Flipz Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Ah. In that case, looks like it's time to play artifact tag again when the groups reunite! (Alexis should use the Cat O' Nine Tails and the Scarf, since she has enough Power to overcome SP, while Dyric uses his bow and his Lucky Die and maybe lives longer. ) Quote
Endgame Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Newbie heroes, now is your chance! The Stealer of senses awaits... Quote

Endgame Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 You're sure it's some new character, and not just a drunk Arthur with too much Ether to burn? Positive, I'm certain he is not a Walloftextmancer. Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Seems awesome, Endgame! Someone best throw a quest when we get back. Nerwen and Guts are two of the people I most absolutely want to quest with, and we're all in the hall right now. It could be SO COOL. Come on, QMs, I know you want a piece of that hot team. Quote

Come on, QMs, I know you want a piece of that hot team. I have the weekend off, so I have time to prepare for my next quest (a Bonaparte one), if you guys are interested in that. It's going to be another short one, with only a couple of battles. Quote

Isn't Quest 54 still going on? But yeah, I agree with that sentiment! I have the weekend off, so I have time to prepare for my next quest (a Bonaparte one), if you guys are interested in that. It's going to be another short one, with only a couple of battles. Sounds good! But you said Quest 44 was going to be short as well, hehe. Quote
xxlrocka Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Newbie heroes, now is your chance! The Stealer of senses awaits... I'm just entering that quest because I haven't been in a quest in a while. Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) Oooo! While I really want to go on a Zeigfried quest (when is the next one of those) Bonapartes would indeed be fun, and it has been far too long since I've been hosted by you. I'd certainly be game! EDIT: 54 is wrapping up, probably today or tomorrow. Maybe we could get Eric to come along too! That would be knocking out a ton of people I want to quest with, and would be a really fun party. Edited February 1, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Bah, Guts wouldn't go on a Ziegfried Quest. He would not be allowed to kill them, I somehow think... Quote
CMP Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 It'll be a nice change, considering how much the Bonaparates have been getting bashed lately. Quote
Endgame Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) It's going to be another short one, with only a couple of battles. We definitely need more of those. Humongo-quest season seems to be fortunately nearing its end. Huge epics are fun, but even I am starting to think 48 is going overkill. Hope I'm keeping your interest, 48ers! And I'd be game for that, too. I'm just entering that quest because I haven't been in a quest in a while. Implying the concept isn't sooper kool? Edited February 1, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 It will be interesting to see what the heroes think of the Bonapartes, who are probably the most lawful of the houses. It's be cool. I think 48 is nice and well paced because it has "chapters" with each of the Progg Princes. I've enjoyed reading it so far. But yes, after these it shall be fun to have some shorter quests. The next few I host will be kind of small in comparison. Quote
CMP Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Implying the concept isn't sooper kool? Well, Blindness has already been rampant in Eubric since Quest 2...all you really need is a Remedy or two and you're good to go. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Are they lawful though? Sinking ships containing refugees. I don't know... Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The most lawful of the houses, yes, I'd say so. They're the only ones you ever see attempting to maintain the peace. The others are solely concerned with themselves, or profit. Quote
CMP Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The others are solely concerned with themselves, or profit. The Ji Pei seem like they actually want to help Eubric. Quote
