Zepher Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 They're the other ones I considered mentioning, but they just seem so quiet and self-concerned. Not malicious, but they seem more interested in themselves and their work than the city. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 It was mentioned somewhere I think that a lot of Eubric's technological advancements came from the Ji Pei, but they are definitely holding stuff back, since they are the only ones with flying ships. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 All of the houses seem to have their pros and cons. Yes the Bonapartes seem the most lawful, but only because it profits/is in their best interest to maintain the safety of the trade-routes and the city. Quote
CMP Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 They're the other ones I considered mentioning, but they just seem so quiet and self-concerned. Not malicious, but they seem more interested in themselves and their work than the city. The way I see it, they're trying to use their work to help bring the city into a new age. Their main beef with the Bonapartes is that the Bonapartes want to keep things exactly as they are and solve solutions through maintaining military control. The Ji Pei see it's obviously not working and want to try and mold Eubric to be more like Xu, which the prideful aoi see as being more or less the perfect model city of the world. I think they are trying to help the city, but only because of themselves. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I think the feud just comes down to: You guys got flying ships, share them! While the Ji Pei are like: Nope! Quote

UsernameMDM Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I need 1 more quest for the Ji Pei for great reputation. But then again, I need 2 for the Shadeaux so Hoke & Vipera can be a team! Quote

Same, I just built Chi Monk Arthur over the weekend, though I want to run it by Pep to see if it's anime-looking enough. Same goes for Shadeaux. Quote
Zepher Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Vipera's got a path in the larger Zepher Quest Story-lore. Maybe she can have a sister or something... Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 It's a shame we're not getting double XP for all this murder we're committing, Endgame. We've got what, 30 archers to slaughter next? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Endgame Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 It's a shame we're not getting double XP for all this murder we're committing, Endgame. We've got what, 30 archers to slaughter next? ~Insectoid Aristocrat I may actually implement that, since this is basically 5 battles in one. Also, nononononono. The 30 archers are for Area 5. But I will tell you this: Area 4 is indeed the penultimate area. After you mop the floor with Alex's old nemesis and his pals, you just have an anteroom then Area 5 left! And then, only Eidolon remains... Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Zepher, did Hans roll "Chaotic Strike" or "Critical Hit"? That's what's confusing me. You multiplied by 3 and I assume redirected it to Mephisto for a Choatic but listed it as a critical. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRgsdThiABw The deal has been altered. Pray I do not alter it further. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Chromeknight Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I don't find it hard at all. 'C' is pronounced as a 'k' when it's in front of 'a' and as an 's' when it's in front of 'i', after all. So it's "kalmkasil", at least to me. That's how I've always said it. I had to ask about Nagure ( Nag-EWE-er apparently) S-ar-ge confusing innit? EssAHgay? Seems awesome, Endgame! Someone best throw a quest when we get back. Nerwen and Guts are two of the people I most absolutely want to quest with, and we're all in the hall right now. It could be SO COOL. Come on, QMs, I know you want a piece of that hot team. Scubacarrot may be a bit over me, but I'd happily be in that! Boomingham has been on my list since the aborted #21. Quote
herrJJ Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 @Capt'n: thank you for hosting the quest and giving us new heroes a chance to show what is in us Hopefully peace will remain in the land of Charis Quote
Flare Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 (edited) Good to see that you took up the job of getting up a quest for the new players, Endgame, I wasn't really making any progress with planning out one myself. Sandy - I'll get you that quest plot sometime soon, but perhaps it will be a little bit more challenging now that I am not planning it for novices. Edited February 2, 2013 by Flare Quote
swils Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I've got mine mapped out. Need to build, balance, and make the official pitch to Sandy. Endgame, don't let this crop of new heroes get too leveled on your quest, I want lowbies! Quote

With "Sang des Hommes" over, there's still plenty of heroes with basic classes left in the Hall, even if Endgame takes all the Level 1's. Quote

Ok... Well I hope you will be happy to hear that I finally wrote out all of the plot for my new quest so as soon as I get on a computer I will type it out and PM it to you. It's going to be cool Edited February 2, 2013 by Flare Quote
Sandy Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 ALL REJOICE! The map of Eubric has been updated to show the entire city, as well as the many locations added to it during these 1,5 years. If you want to add some important location I might've missed to this map, just say what and where, and I'll edit it in. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I want Mr. Anti, Quarian's Antiquary in there! I imagine it being between the Shadeaux castle and the warehouses. Quote
Sandy Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 I want Mr. Anti, Quarian's Antiquary in there! I'll add it in. While you guys are at it, I need your contributions to another map, something which has been forming in my mind for a long time but took actual form only today... Yep, that's Olegaia for you! Now, this is a rough, large-scaled map and a work-in-progress, so only the largest nations, continents and seas are named, but if you want to make your own additions to it, now's the time to do that. I've tried to search for place names from your posts in the Hall and elsewhere, but I probably have missed quite a many. I can also add more bodies of land or water, if you so wish. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 That looks awesome, for the next map as well, could you add Strivvi? Basically to the left of the A in Abra Desert, along the coast. On that note, I am beginning preparations again for the continuation of Quest 40. I don't have an ETA, but it's a thing! Quote
Sandy Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 I left out city-states on purpose, including Strivvi, Charis, Carthago and Salmanda. There's simply not enough room for them in the map. Sorry! Quote
