Well, a Lego RPG, I may just have to join!

Are there any prerequisites to joining, or do I just create a character and kick the door to Heroica Hall down?

Nope, just create a character and you're in! Though just opening the doors will do quite nicely.:sweet:

Ten posts could be considered a prerequisite so that you can edit your signature, but as you've already got them, just jump right in. :classic:

Welcome, Kintobor! Good to see another Rogue that's not a human male--we kind of have an excess of those (and yes, I'm guilty of it as well  ).

And Zeph, are those obvious Quest hooks in the Hall of your devising or of Sandy's?

Posted (edited)

Which Quest hooks?! The Gods talk? That's just me and Guts talking about what we have in common! Unless you're referring to Barty's newest thing, which is an inclusion Chromeknight's asked me for. I would never use Boomingham or his story to plug any of my quests, they are decidedly and purposely separate. Though I did like when he had to meet Johnny Everyman.

 The occasional reference is cool, but otherwise I agree, they should be kept separate.

I meant the mention of that Orcish chieftan, Karg of the Shivering Axe, I don't recall the name ever being mentioned before.

Yes, that was fun, if I had been a little less busty in real life at the time, I would have tried to push that a little more, just for kicks.

Speaking of IRL business, sorry I haven't been spamming your inbox corresponding with in-character conversations, I really wanted to chat with Felton and Gray and Mallelio before one or all of them get themselves killed, but I just haven't had the time.

I'm just going to assume you meant 'busy' and spare myself a few nightmares.

Also, Vash, Monk Pretzel will look forward to meeting his vampire friend in the hall and possibly challenge him in the arena. :innocent:

Don't worry, I'll be fighting with a WP: 1 weapon. :devil_laugh:

I asked in R&D before and being a hero apparently makes Dreyrugr immune to instant kill by stake. :classic:

But Pretzel doesn't know that does he? I'll be happy to fight.

Before your time

Nerwen nodded, it was a familiar tale.

I stayed with the Shivering Axe clan on the far border of Duplova, they had a similar tale.

Perhaps there are forces hunting the Orc clans, perhaps as revenge for Ennon.

Or maybe Tarokai was treating with powerful beings that are seeking payment from his kin.

In any case, I am not a human, but an Elf.I guess you have not met our kind yet.

Nerwen remembers Karg of the Shivering axe clan

I would gladly help you find your vengance, and tell you all I know of the scattered clans.

It is good to meet you!

Nerwen holds her hand out in a traditional Orc greeting.

RP lesson, drop references occasionally. Then remember to come back and pick them up!

OoC: Shouldn't the Ice element of Benji's Crossbow cancel out the effects of the Darkness element, being strong against Beasts, allowing the Fire element to deal double Damage, also being strong against Beasts?

Replying here, because I'm not entirely sure. It's still immune to darkness elemental damage and that isn't canceled out, but I don't know if the fire and ice elements eliminate that or not.

Now you know what it must be like for the QMs trying to calculate Ratsbane.

...well, OK, I'll admit that Benji's bow is just a little strange in terms of elemental combinations. :look:

When's the last time I've used it, though? Stupid Heavy Flail. So puny at WP: 5, but so darned useful for others... :hmpf_bad::tongue:

Pour some gold into it, it can only get better.

Meh, I've got plans, I was actually going to try and sell it at some point.

Thothwick or Hoke, for example, could destroy with it.

*removes Atramor's name from list of "best character optimizer" candidates*

If you MUST sell it, give it to someone without Ether, since Ether-users can just use a Scroll of Frailty and not risk damage or specials (albeit at the cost of Free Hit targetting).

Actually, Pie, you're one of the best character optimizers...for other peoples' characters.

But you haven't even seen the master plans yet!:tongue:

Part of the reason is that other classes could use it better, so I may as well. Like I said, a Shield that causes the hero to strike all enemies could decimate opponents with it.

I created a monster...

You should try to get your hands on that monster.

What? It's a lie...it has to be!

Honestly, though, heroes aren't immune to instant kills, so I don't think he would be, but I guess it's like your drinking a potion. Woe is me! Pretzel's one life goal and he can't achieve it. :cry_sad:

Well, the character is wearing a mask, and it's possible that it's not just the part covering the eyes that is the mask, so for all we know she could actually be a male human rogue rouge underneath it all.

Isn't this just a case of a weapon having an element ineffective against an enemy and an element(s) effective against that enemy?

Isn't it just a variation on this?

Q: If an enemy falls into more than one type, how are conflicting or aiding elements determined? For example, an enemy is both flying and mechanic, and is attacked by a wind element (sapphire). How is damage determined then?

A: In your example, the two types cancel each other out, so a Flying Mechanic type enemy would take normal damage from wind spells. If the enemy was a Flying Vermin type, though, the wind spell would cause quadruple damage against that enemy, since both those types are weak to the element.

I suppose. I thought it might be different because the enemy is still immune to one element. I'll go edit in now, it's not like the enemy has much of a chance either way.

I did not see that coming, Chromeknight, I'll admit.
