Chromeknight Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I did not see that coming, Chromeknight, I'll admit. Glad I can still surprise! Hopefully it isn't too far outside the character I've played so far. I wasn't going to go Druid, too cliché. And Paladin, well, there's too many of them doing such a fine job already. Nerwen enjoys hitting things too much to be a sage, so that left Witch and Shaman. She could still go witch in the future (and possibly sage too). Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 You're talking about the Heavy Flail, right...? Yes... Quote
PsyKater Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Good choice, I think. A shaman does not have to be brutal. As long as she likes to bash the evil... Quote
Endgame Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Yes... Combrys... Also, Sandy, could you lease replace my mughsot in the hall's first post with Scuba's awesome real-life rendition of Sorrow? I have it in my statistics page now. Also, gah! When looking through the marketplace, I thought that the suit of armor standing behind him was a Chaos Beast... Quote
Flare Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Now you know what it must be like for the QMs trying to calculate Ratsbane. ...well, OK, I'll admit that Benji's bow is just a little strange in terms of elemental combinations. Strange? So far I've found that it's effective... Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Benji's crossbow should deal double damage against that enemy. It's a pretty good combination, I'd say. You should thinking about adding a Garnet, it will make you deal single instead of double against Flying monsters, but it will allow you to deal damage against Fire monsters, and deal double against Icy monsters and Electric Monsters. Quote
JimBee Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Yeah, shaman surprised me too. Sage would have been cool, but shaman is even better. You're only the second one, Chromeknight, so I'm interested to see another strategy/take on the class. Quote

Thanks. I have a spreadsheet with a proposed weapon set up that will enable me to do at least double power against all types of enemies affected by elements I'll consider the garnet, thanks for the suggestion Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Am I the only one who read Karg's words with a Jamacan accent? Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) Am I the only one who read Karg's words with a Jamacan accent? Same! Freaky ins't it? Still not sure where to go with Sarge. Even though I'm still far away from the AC's. There are too many raiders and assassins, but they're they best when it comes to gold. Edited February 5, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote

Third* Though I haven't stuck with it, I did enjoy it and may switch back for an actual quest once I've done some upgrading with my roguely gains. Edited February 5, 2013 by swils Quote
Sandy Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Welcome to the game, Kintober! Hope you have a long and pleasant stay. Waterbrick Down Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Quick question, if a player rolls a MISS when using a throwing weapon, do they still need to retrieve it? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 So, I got a question. Let's say Hoke, a Mystic Knight, is wielding a Healing Staff and rolls a Shield: Spell Spin. What is the end result? Quote
Flare Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Quick question, if a player rolls a MISS when using a throwing weapon, do they still need to retrieve it? Well they threw it a little off course, so yeah Quote
Sandy Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Quick question, if a player rolls a MISS when using a throwing weapon, do they still need to retrieve it? Of course. The weapon has left their hand if it misses, hasn't it? So, I got a question. Let's say Hoke, a Mystic Knight, is wielding a Healing Staff and rolls a Shield: Spell Spin. What is the end result? Argh! That staff is becoming more of a nuisance than I ever thought it would! Never should've created the damn thing... But I'd say that in your case it heals the whole party using the spellspin-mechanic. Quote
Zepher Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 So, I got a question. Let's say Hoke, a Mystic Knight, is wielding a Healing Staff and rolls a Shield: Spell Spin. What is the end result? All the Healing Staffs blow up. Sandy has acknowledged that they were not a smart item to include in the game - they are inventive and cool but have a series of rules dedicated to them alone because they are so strange. Generally, I read it as the rules say- Great choice for Nerwen... though I'm confused. Why is she wearing a shirt?! Shamans are unable to do that, right? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) Nerwen as a Shaman is very interesting, makes a break from the shirtless men having that profession... Although Kulkulkan was a Shaman too, wasn't he? Edited February 5, 2013 by Scubacarrot Quote

Kintobor Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Welcome Kintobor! You have a very nice sexy character there! It's great to see so many new faces! I hope you all will have quite some fun! Welcome, Kintobor! Good to see another Rogue that's not a human male--we kind of have an excess of those (and yes, I'm guilty of it as well ). Sorry for the late response, just read the responses now! When coming up with the character, sexiness wasn't something I was trying to attain, but in the end, I guess Karie wound up being that. I think playing with that would be entertaining though. As for male rogues, yeah, the more I think about it, there's a lot of them. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I don't think Lego has created a suitable torso for her to go topless, yet... XD And here I was thinking that that would actually prevent her from going Shamen! Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 After such a long time with Poletad - both through Hadden and recently - Rone has managed a basic understanding of Froglish. At Poletad's question, Dyric thinks for a moment, trying to accurately phrase what he means to say, and slowly works through the sentences. <SNIP> I think Dyric knows more than basic Froglish! Quote
Flipz Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) And people say I write Walls of Text. Well, at least I got SOME kind of IC conversation going with the NPCs, I don't feel SO bad. I'm definitely coming back for the next set of battles, and I'll try my damndest to not have to Flee, so hopefully a chance for some interaction with my fellow party members again. EDIT: *Looks at title* ...what the hell? It's gotta be Heroica, since I barely post anywhere else, but...where? And what did I say? *begins searching through own posts* Edited February 6, 2013 by Flipz Quote
