Palathadric Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 William turns around in annoyance. "Oh do shut up girl. If you wanna be possessed by demons, voices in your head and alter egos. You could at least step outside." You might want to be a little more specific than that. I'm pretty sure the Hall is dominated by tough looking men. Not really, it's just men who like to think they're tough. I can see the confusion though, and why someone may fail to understand who he's talking to. I mean, if Monk Pretzel would have been in the hall, he would have replied. Is it better to merge my ruby and my sapphire with the weapon a darkness-elemental weapon or a light-elemental weapon. Or should I merge them with the steak? I am kind of leaning towards the darkness one, but not sure what's best. Quote
posades Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Does throwing a bomb at an enemy count as "targeting" it? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Does throwing a bomb at an enemy count as "targeting" it? No. Quote
Zepher Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) Also, due to a point being made by scubacarrot, I think I should say, that Zepher, Sarge was talking to boomingham if you hadn't noticed I shall respond, then! I wasn't sure- Boomingham thinks he looks tough, but I'm not sure how many other people would think that. Does throwing a bomb at an enemy count as "targeting" it? No. CMP, you've clearly never fought one of my "God-piece locked in a mortal" type monsters before! Edited February 7, 2013 by Zepher Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Wow, Zepher, good thing this round will be odd-numbered. Is this the last little boost he'll get or should we be even more worried? Quote
Zepher Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Well, he gets revived at double health after this, and becomes immune to damage, but if you think that's not too bad you'll probably be okay! Quote

Knowing Zepher, he'll probably end up healing duplicating himself once we KO him... Edited February 7, 2013 by CallMePie Quote

CMP Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Aw, snap! SMOKE BOMB!!!! Run for your lives! And forfeit the only real loot this entire Quest? I'll die trying if it means getting more than 3 gold! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 And forfeit the only real loot this entire Quest? I'll die trying if it means getting more than 3 gold! Now you want to stay and fight? You can't spend loot when you're dead. Quote
posades Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 No. Nope. I shall respond, then! I wasn't sure- Boomingham thinks he looks tough, but I'm not sure how many other people would think that. No. CMP, you've clearly never fought one of my "God-piece locked in a mortal" type monsters before! Well gee, that makes bombs even more worthless. How about a rule change so bombs could actually be useful for higher level players; maybe throwing a bomb at an enemy will target it and deal 5 damage, with 3 damage to every other enemy? Quote
CMP Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Now you want to stay and fight? Don't get me wrong, it wasn't easy to abandon Triad, I care about NPCs as much as anyone else, . But when they outnumber how much gold we're all bringing in, well.... Quote
Zepher Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Pongcanis are like monks. They've given up all their worldly possessions to go live a life of service killing. Anywho, keep those votes rolling in people. We still have about a week and a half, but I only have votes from 8 players out of our 50 plus active players!! I want to hear more of what people have to say. There are some categories I wish there was more diversity in, and some with no clear leaders right now, so it's anyone's game! Keep them coming, keep them honest, and think back to all the 50+ awesome quests we've had so far! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 But when they outnumber how much gold we're all bringing in, well.... Is it gold or Mephisto's pretty amulet, Mr. Witch? Quote
Flipz Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Has anyone here played a web browser game called Fallen London? Formerly known as Echo Bazaar? (I'm talking to everyone, but also specifically asking Sandy and Scubacarrot, as there's a character in that game--the Last Honest Constable--with an eerie similarity to Captain Patricia. ) Quote
Palathadric Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 The Enemy Mechanics and Pictures are the ones I am having a hard time with. The pictures I have the selected QMs already, but I will need to look over the pictures to really determine which to go for. The Enemy Mechanics will be tough though. That will take some real thought. Quote

An artifact that increase bomb prowess would be pretty cool, but keep in mind that throwing a bomb is a totally risk free action. That's why it doesn't count as targetting. Quote
Zepher Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Maybe someone already has a little something in the works that will make bombs more powerful. Maybe someone who employs bombsters and does stuff like that. :look: Quote

Flipz Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 No. Ah. Well, then, I heartily recommend it, it is free after all, and there are a lot of great ideas amongst the clever and enticing story segments. Yeah, but if we don't get to loot it off of XX after beating the crap out of him, it's not the same. Why do you hate XX so much? He himself was hardly even an annoyance in Dastan, it's his hired help that's the problem. We need to get him to hire us instead of the Bombsters. Seriously, though, I would totally go for that Quest. Quote
