Waterbrick Down Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) Uhh... what awards? On another note... welcome back Jeb! The Heroica Awards, check back a few post for the voting form. Also, welcome back Jeb and Xarrzan. Edited February 17, 2013 by Waterbrick Down Quote

Sandy Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 Nice to see both of you back, Jebediahs and Xarrzan! I don't say this very often, but Sandy - the banner for Quest 58 is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you, but if you think the background art was made by me, then you're sorely mistaken. It is artwork from the videogame Assassin's Creed III: http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-21/ac3-maelstrom-naval-battle.html Quote

Flare Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 But what the heck is immunity to lucky supposed to mean Can someone answer me? How would immunity to a positive effect make sense? Quote
Zepher Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) It means he can't be made lucky. Jebs is making a political statement about something he does not think is right in the game, because the one thing Heroica is missing is charged passive aggressive statements. Welcome back, Jebs!! I hope I get to host for you this time around, I really want Nur to go on a quest with me, he's a superb character. I'd also love to have him and Boomingham chat more. Really, I just think Nur is one of the most inventive characters. Sarrick, welcome back as well!! Nagas are awesome, can't wait to see what else you've got for us. Professor Flitwick Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Welcome back, guys! Always nice to see old heroes return! "Keep fighting, Witch. I'll split you the same way I split Triad." Why does everyone hate this guy? Seems like a decent chap to me! Quote
Palathadric Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Welcome back, Jebs! It's always a pleasure to see the ol' boys return. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Can someone answer me? How would immunity to a positive effect make sense? It wouldn't, Jebs is trying to make a point. Quote
CMP Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Welcome back to the game, Jeb and Xarrzan. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Quest #58 is really looking to be great Sandy and all! Quote
Flipz Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) Welcome back, Jebs and Xarrzan. It wouldn't, Jebs is trying to make a point. I have to confess, I have no idea what point that is. I must have imbued a Scroll of Getting the Point into one of my artifacts at some point. Edited February 17, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Pandora Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 because the one thing Heroica is missing is charged passive aggressive statements. The irony being that that's a charged passive aggressive statement in itself. Quote
Zepher Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I actually thought about that after I posted it, but thought it would be fine as it was. Of course Pandy caught me. Now I'm off to go fix those battle results, but only because you said please! Quote
JimBee Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I have to confess, I have no idea what point that is. I must have imbued a Scroll of Getting the Point into one of my artifacts at some point. He thinks the lucky effect is OP, or something. But since he gave the die to Xarrzan, I don't really see the point either, but to each his own. Quote
Flipz Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 He thinks the lucky effect is OP, or something. But since he gave the die to Xarrzan, I don't really see the point either, but to each his own. Shouldn't he have imbued the Scroll of Luck into the Loaded Die, then, destroying them both? Like you said, to each his own. In other news, the Hollow Oak just became my favorite UQ area, just because the enemies there are so cute and creative! Also, @Q50: Y U no give Cinna a shield? Quote
JimBee Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Also, @Q50: Y U no give Cinna a shield? You mean the SP:9 one she doesn't have? Quote
swils Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Well, reasoning and personal views regarding the dice and the effect... I wish *I* could get my hands on a pair of Lucky Dice for the low, low cost of 40 gold and a gem Quote
Flipz Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 You mean the SP:9 one she doesn't have? I thought that one was an Artifact. Quote
Zepher Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Hello all! I've got a question. There was, at some point, a mention of tickets to a play in Bric'lin, right? Well, does anyone remember what those were, and how they came up, and any more information about them? I feel like Sandy wrote them, and they were a gift to one of the PCs. And yes, one of my future quests is likely to contain a play! Quote
The Legonater Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) He thinks the lucky effect is OP, or something. But since he gave the die to Xarrzan, I don't really see the point either, but to each his own. If he thinks Lucky is OP, he evidently had not been paying much attention to Dyric. Hello all! Well, does anyone remember what those were, and how they came up, and any more information about them? I feel like Sandy wrote them, and they were a gift to one of the PCs. My search came up with a comment from Etzel in the Grogmas Thread: To Haldor from Najdalena the Novice: A letter with a ticket to the theater in Bric'lin next week.
