swils Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Of course it's not a problem - unless that person is already on a quest. Which is something I've seen happen a few times in the past already. It's as if the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Oh, well of course. I didn't even consider that, heh. I can still understand the expression in this case (the rito and winged warrior seem to be quote popular, and exposure/availability is limited for the near future, so even if I was hosting a player who wished to go on another quest, in a situation like this, I wouldn't take any offense--the timing of the quest looks like it caught quite a few people by surprise. Scorpiox Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 And softer... Tastes softer? What kind of grass are you eating? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Tastes softer? What kind of grass are you eating? The GOOD kind (obviously). Quote
Brickington Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Can I have two great swords at the same time? Quote
Zepher Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 You may possess two, but not wield two at once. It is based on logic. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Can I have two great swords at the same time? With normal swords, you can't use them both at the same time, but you can have both and switch between them during battles. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Can I have two great swords at the same time? Like dual wielding? Getting to attack twice or use their combined WP on attacks? No (unless some special circumstance comes up). Quote
Brickington Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 You may possess two, but not wield two at once. It is based on logic. Well you could have two swords and no shield! With normal swords, you can't use them both at the same time, but you can have both and switch between them during battles. Why would I switch between them, how could that be beneficial? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Why would I switch between them, how could that be beneficial? If imbued with a gem, elemental properties (strengths/weaknesses) come into play. Quote
Zepher Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 I have one sword that stuns people, and one that makes them bleed. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 The GOOD kind (obviously). I've never experianced any grass that TASTES soft, generally the texture is coarse and thin, you must have very interesting grass over where you live. I almost envy you! Not that I have actually tasted any grass at all, this is entirely supposition based on an educated guess, I don't generally go around munching on blades of it to sample the flavour. I have one sword that stuns people, and one that makes them bleed. Don't all swords make people bleed? Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Don't all swords make people bleed? Laser swords don't , Though that's a little outside of the heroica theme. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Not his one that stuns people. That's dull. And I think Boomingham's is the only sword that makes people bleed, so I really don't know what the rest are all about. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 The other swords must be for slicing obviously. Quote
The Legonater Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Not his one that stuns people. That's dull. And I think Boomingham's is the only sword that makes people bleed, so I really don't know what the rest are all about. They're for practice. Heroica is secretly a training facility to take your average wanderers and make them stronger. That's where the whole concept of leveling-up came from. The Wolfgang are a group of people trying to mess with the system and kill trainees, hence why Wolfgang quests seem to be the only quests that fail. And Dastan? That was the first of many tests to see if the heroes are ready for the outside world. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Brilliantly put! Makes mental note not to go on any Wolfgang-related quests. Quote
Flipz Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 (edited) Brilliantly put! Makes mental note not to go on any Wolfgang-related quests. Great, Arthur can take your spot! It's a testament to Zepher that Gnash managed to tip the balance between Arthur ignoring both sides to Arthur slightly favoring the Town Watch. Of course, it's extremely unlikely Arthur will sign onto a TW Quest over, say, Proggs or Zeigfrieds (or ESPECIALLY Byblos/Pandemonicon), but if he's ever idle in the Hall and the Fields are occupied and no other Quests tied to his major storylines are in preparation, he might sign up for a Wolfgang/Town Watch Quest. Also, why do people seem to not notice Effects on NPCs? Or even their basic abilities? The allied NPCs in this game are awesome, but it feels like only Singerson gets any real appreciation in-battle; even Punii is largely ignored. Edited February 20, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Endgame Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Hal gets no love! Sorry, folks: I have been super busy and a bit under the weather as of late. I'll try to get my act together soon! Lblush: Quote
Zepher Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 (edited) Awesome. I don't think I've hosted OR played alongside ANY of these characters yet. Very exciting for me. Edited February 20, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Flare Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 (edited) Awesome. I don't think I've hosted OR played alongside ANY of these characters yet. Very exciting for me. Glad to have you along! I wanted to include heroes from different "generations". I think I succeeded. I think there are heroes from at least three "generations" coming on Quest 57. Edited February 20, 2013 by Flare Quote

Endgame Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Awesome group, Flare! Lets go catch some amphibians! Just a slight warning: I probably won't be able to post on Thursday morning or Saturday evening. On Thursday I am flying out to a bar mitzvah (2 hour flight incredibly early) and on Saturday is the actual bar mitzvah. Other then that, my activity shouldn't drop. Quote
