Endgame Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 There'd probably be only one of such item in existence anyway, so QMs could easily just put in enemies immune to insta-kill in to get that assassin to waste the ashes. I know it is what I'd do, in some scenarios. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I thought a blinded hero could still target an enemy, they just wouldn't be able to hit that enemy. Thus if a blind knight were to target an enemy, there would be a 50% chance of nothing happening, a 33% chance of taking damage and a 17% chance of using sentinel protecting the party from damage the next round. If that is not the case then we may need to adjust our battle strategy. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 How do you remedy blindness? With a remedy. Couldn't have put it better myself. Quote
Brickington Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Couldn't have put it better myself. With a remedy. You guys make me feel really stupid. Quote
Pandora Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 So are we in the hall supposed to ignore the fact that a whole group of wierdoes just traipsed through the hall? Hey! That's your fellow heroes you're talking about there! And I very much doubt you'd refer to most of them as 'weirdoes' to their face. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 And I very much doubt you'd refer to most of them as 'weirdoes' to their face. I disagree, Monk Pretzel would probably relish the chance to call the whole lot a group of 'weirdoes' if he had half an opportunity. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Hey, don't blame me! I definitely saw some freaks in the crowd. I disagree, Monk Pretzel would probably relish the chance to call the whole lot a group of 'weirdoes' if he had half an opportunity. Well spoken! You took the words right out of my mouth. Now it makes no sense to post it in the hall. Quote
Flare Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Well spoken! You took the words right out of my mouth. Now it makes no sense to post it in the hall. Well you can feel free to prove it right Quote
Flipz Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 So are we in the hall supposed to ignore the fact that a whole group of wierdoes just traipsed through the hall? Besides, how will the orcish barmaid be able to help them out when she's supposed to be getting cake-seed-cake for us. Actually, according to Zepher, all this happened back in December, or what would be early January for those in the Hall (to accommodate the last time De'kra got a message from Arthur, I stopped that when I realized I was time-locking the Hall to Q53, which would screw up certain things), and there will be a timeskip between the end of 53 and the Heroes returning to the Hall. So in actuality, we snuck through almost two months ago, so the people there now shouldn't notice. Quote
Endgame Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Bah, space-time-continiums. I'm probably not going to be able to update for the rest of the day after about 30 minutes or so. I'll try to crank out a round of 48! Quote

I've always considered that everything in Heroica happens at the same time, dates are meaningless to me since they make a huge game like this so confusing. In my mind, the heroes are in the hall now, not last month; I can't be doing with worrying about how the space-time continuum runs. Quote

That's normally how I think of things, too, but Zeph has explicitly stated that this entire Quest happens over the course of one night (Grogmas) and that timeskip will be involved, and I've already planned certain events based on that concept, so... "Timeskip" basically means that there is some amount of "offscreen" time in between the end of the Quest and the Heroes' return to the Hall. Quote
Endgame Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Oddly enough, 48 also takes place over the course of one day... Which means that 48 and 53 must be occuring at the same time. Man, today is not a good day for Uland! Rattled off a round in record time! Hopefully there are no mistakes... Quote
Zepher Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Another reason I set things outside Eubric - I like to attribute extra time to travel. I agree, time IS impossible in this story, BUT we can still make minor attempts to explain it. Quote

Endgame Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) Well, after 5 minutes puzzling over how to tie a tie, I'm finally dressed fro the bar mitzvah - and incredibly dapper, at that! Hopefully I'll be able to check Heroica gain tonight - see all you folks later! Edited February 23, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Rumble Strike Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I think Flipz could be right about Quest#52. It finished the next morning. In fact Quest#32 would also have taken place over a day, apart from the travel to Ve'er. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 So basically, all the quests on grogmas would of suceeded. This is shown by the fact the hall is full of living/and a couple of undead heroes. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Also just wanted to say I am really enjoying Quest#58. The party have a great dynamic and the bar is populated with so many wonderful characters. Quote
Flipz Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Hoke moves over to Nyx. He takes her hand, raises it up and bows to give it a light kiss. "Shall we dance my lady?" A twist in the tale! Zeph, I hope you have both of these two lined up for the next XX Quest. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 OOC: Level 14??? William's Level 17 Your sig still lists him as Level 14. Quote
