Sandy Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Oh, than I can host a quest! Not until you learn the difference between "than" and "then". Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I noticed the new quest out, is anyone else planning to do a new quest? Another week or two and the 1st part of my trilogy should be ready for sign-ups. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) I'm actually ready (next weekend) to start a Quest myself. I haven't officially announced it yet because I don't want to be the boy who cried "Quest," but I'm currently working on finding a way to download Pictures to my computer from my roommate's camera. I'll have more up and an official announcement probably tomorrow. I still need to purchase a set or two (My current Lego collection consists of the Uruk Hai army, and 2 Razcal's Gliders and avery small assortment of Lego pieces/figs I brought from home. ) but after my Lab Practicals I should be ready to go. (And yes, the names are going to be much better than "Autumn Kingdom." ) ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited March 2, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
PsyKater Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Another week or two and the 1st part of my trilogy should be ready for sign-ups. This will be the third time, Amma is wishing to be picked for the quest like nothing else... Probably she gets picked for another quest earlier anyway. Quote
JimBee Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Apologies to Quest 59ers, I just need one more day to make some final preparations. The quest will begin tomorrow! Quote
Flare Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Because the boss comes from the Ziegfried family, as everyone knows. And the Ziegfrieds are entirely composed of wizards. And Ziegfried wizards are used to having people not trust them, as the QM is not trusted by us. So we can clearly not choose the road in front of the NPC. Yes, the Ziegfrieds, and the QM must've suspected we would have known the boss's origin, so we can clearly not choose the road in front of us. The only thing you forgot is the possibility that there is no boss Also, there is no frickin' waitress!! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 The only thing you forgot is the possibility that there is no boss "There was no boss down either road. I spent the last few years building up an immunity to long quests." Quote
Flipz Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Was looking for songs for...stuff... ( ) ...when I rediscovered this song. I think it sums up Nyx/XX perfectly: Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Wow, the unlimited Quest party is levelling really fast, Docken only needs like 4 battles to be able to become an expert class... Good job guys, you are now overlevelled compared to everybody else. Huh, Cronk is even higher. How do people level so quickly. Quote
CMP Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Huh, Cronk is even higher. How do people level so quickly. It's all in which quests you do, and how many you've done. Quote
Flipz Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 It also helps if you're super active AND have super-active party members/QMs. Pretty much any combination of Pie/me/WBD/Zepher/Doc/Endgame as players and QM would level rediculously fast, since we all spend somewhere in the realm of 147% of our time here. Even when it's almost 1am in the morning and we really ought to be sleeping. EDIT: Oh, and congrats to PsyKater on reaching Count! EDIT 2: Actually, now I really want to see Atramor, Sorrow, and Arthur together on a Brickdoctor Quest, we'd probably crank out 20 pages in the first hour alone. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) I've actually done as many quests as Cronk, both have 7 under the belt, plus the one we are on now, noting that 53 has gone on a lot longer. It doesn't really matter, I just didn't realize people were so close to becoming expert classes! And I'm actually like that too, just in a completely different timezone than you, hehe. Yeah, you, Scorpiox, and...hmm...let's say Rumble Strike or Etzel would do well on a Sandy Quest, though perhaps not quite as sickeningly overactive. Or maybe you, Scorpiox, Rumble, and Sandy on an Etzel Quest? On second thought, though, I'm not quite sure about the party dynamics there. Tarn and Ellaria have past interactions, and I think Ellaria and Haldor do, too, but I'm not sure how well Guts would mix with Ellaria or Maurice, or even with Tarn and Haldor, for that matter. I don't know, at times I love Guts' characterization and at times it's a right pain in the rear trying to think up good ways of interaction that won't end in him just saying "well I can beat all of you up at once, so I'm right. So there." One day, perhaps...we'll have to see a crack in his facade at some point! Edited March 3, 2013 by Flipz Quote

Scubacarrot Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Guts actually had interaction with Maurice and Tarn (in 52 and 20 respectively), and he respects both of them(for the time being). Haldor he has met, and doesn't really know what to think about it. Ellaria would probably annoy Guts to no end. Quote
Flipz Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I would think so.... You saw nothing. Ellaria would probably annoy Guts to no end. Interesting...I had gotten the impression during 52 that Guts was holding back with Maurice for some reason, only refraining from starting an argument because the situation was so dire. I'm not quite sure what gave me that impression, it just seemed like a vague underlying thing. Quote

Perhaps he was holding back, but Maurice is still a man of the cloth, and one that genuinely strives to do good, without being an unreasonable fanatic. Quote
Brickington Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Also, there is no frickin' waitress!! What?!? I have been using a waitress in the hall as my personal assistant. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Maybe you´ve been ordering a random girl around. Quote
Brickington Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Ok, another question. What are those Heroica tags? Are they for the members of a secret group? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 When Heroica got it´s own subforum, everyone that had made a quest or another heroica related topic got one. Quote
Brickington Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Oh, so it's for the Veterans I get it. Another question, (how I'm I suppose to learn if I don't ask questions?) how does one do the Unlimited Quest? Can anyone join it? Edited March 3, 2013 by Brickington Quote
Rumble Strike Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Tarn and Guts do get on, and Guts even helped Tarn deal with hs guilt after the death of Constance, albeit in his gruff way. I would love to go on an Etzel quest sometime, like WBD he tends to focus on people rather than battles, and that would be a nice change of pace after the Quest I am currently on. Plus his MOCs are gorgeous. Quote
Scorpiox Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Oh, so it's for the Veterans I get. Another question, (how I'm I suppose to learn if I don't ask questions?) how does one do the Unlimited Quest? Can anyone join it? Not really, it was given to those who (at the time) had hosted a quest or helped out in some other such way, not as a sign of loyalty or skill. You can sign up for the Fields of Glory like any normal quest once an advertisement is posted in the hall. However, there can be only one party on the quest at a time, so you'll have to wait for the current one to be finished before you can sign up. But knowing Brickdoctor and the others, that is likely to be some amount of time. Quote
