The Legonater Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Can it be used as an artefact? Wren's Skull (SP: 4, Solidifies your status as a badass. All players must refer to you as a one as long as Wren's Skull is equipped) I'm cool with that. I need some SP. Quote

Endgame Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Eidolon's Skull (SP: 24. Can be used as a small fortress.) Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I would see Wrens Skull giving perma dark elemental damage. Quote
CMP Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Wren's Skull (SP: 4, Solidifies your status as a badass. All players must refer to you as a one as long as Wren's Skull is equipped) Badass is something you are, not something you equip. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Arthur's spine - (SP:1 - makes the user non-existent, grants 'flee' ability. Accessory) Quote
Pandora Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Also, 53ers: I'm sorry. But I'm also not. That's ok, it was clear that that was only the beginning of the fight, however, as this is a continuation, you should have allowed the rest of that round to run, as the actions were valid. Including all the healing and attcky ones. Oh, and really nice jobs on the character pics everyone (and great find Legonater!), they all look great. I will definitely do one for Nyx. Quote
Kintobor Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) Arthur's spine - (SP:1 - makes the user non-existent, grants 'flee' ability. Accessory) Yes! Now that one's funny! The Apprentice's Skull (SP: 2, Allows to use Hex as if it was a class trait, so you may hex anyone, at any time to assist you both inside and outside of combat. "But of course, Mr A." Accessory) As a side note, what is up with you and Hexing people, Endgame? First the Apprentice, and now Eidolon. Edited March 11, 2013 by Kintobor Quote

The Legonater Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Yorick's Skull (SP:3, grants the inspired effect and the ability to monologue like Flipz) Quote
Kintobor Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Where'd you guys dump his body again? I'm not sure actually. Where's Endgame when you need him? Quote
Pandora Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Yorick's Skull (SP:3, grants the inspired effect and the ability to monologue like Flipz) That's an artefact that needs to be buried deep in the ground. And then blown up. And then buried again. Quote
Endgame Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I'm right here - the time has come and so have I! The Stealer knocked out the party and left them in front of the Hall - only the Stealer knows where the Apprentice's body is. Hex is possibly one of the greatest tools in a QM's arsenal! it can be devastating (if the rolls turn out that way), but no matter what it is a good roleplay device and creates party friction. Delicious. That, and I needed to fill a slot in Eidolon's War Actions. Be glad I didn't switch the two encounters. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 That's ok, it was clear that that was only the beginning of the fight, however, as this is a continuation, you should have allowed the rest of that round to run, as the actions were valid. Including all the healing and attcky ones. I agree. If it was a separate battle, then how it is now is ok, but since it's the same battle, I think it should have been rolled as such. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Arthur's spine should be SP:-1, surely? Quote
Flipz Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I hope you asked Zepher first before hijacking his quest... Zepher knows my character worships Chaos and intended to worship Wren if she succeeded, we had an in-character chat about it. Hell, Arthur mentioned several times that he was only in the fight as long as Eubric was directly threatened by the summoning ritual, and now that Wren is Ascended, he has no reason to oppose her. Did people actually think that Arthur's speeches were a bluff? At least Arthur didn't decide to just start attacking party members...he SAID he was not going to interfere... On a serious note, is Arthur seriously that unsympathetic? I'd think people might understand him, even if they didn't agree with him. Or have I completely misunderstood the whole point of the Wren Saga: that everything is Gray, good people do bad things and bad people good ones, and even villains have traits that should be admired. CMP Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I understand him, but everyone disagrees with him and he's literally getting in the way of completing the Quest by not helping. Quote
Flipz Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Hard as it is for me, I do not hold this against you. You only do your duty, whether you see its harm or not. I know the cost and reason of such actions. ^^This. I'm honestly uncomprehending of having prejudice (even IRL), so I honestly don't understand why people can't GET this concept, in Heroica or in the real world. Can someone enlighten me? I understand him, but everyone disagrees with him and he's literally getting in the way of completing the Quest by not helping. Well, he IS healing people who treat him with respect...and Free Hits are by no means a problem...and the party is already mega OP for everything EXCEPT Wren... Quote
Endgame Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Perhaps I'm just misinterpreting Zepher's writing, but it seems that even Wren broke her own philosophy in her desire to become Goddess of Chaos. She believed that people should earn her fates, but she has been messing with souls, manipulating people since day one, and now causing "collateral damage." She has gotten to the point now where all that is left is her own insanity. This entire quest I've seen her degrade into a raving lunatic, and it has been rather awesome to see. Whether or not it is intentional, well... Quote
CMP Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 But he's not actively helping. The Quest is to defeat Wren, and he's... worshiping her. It's his choice, of course, but you can't expect people to respect him when he turns against everything they're fighting for. Quote
Zepher Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 So if I want to have some delusional rats in my next quest be flying/undead/humanoid type because they label themselves as that, we're alright huh? I just think you're upset about Skrall favoring ancient and didn't want him blasting Wren like he did Chaos. Just wait and see if you don't roll shield in the first two rounds. I also gave you an incredible opportunity that you missed. you could have favored "floor" and "goddess" types at the end of this quest. Zeph, how are we supposed to, you know, not die when we get hit by this thing? Eh, that's for you to figure out. We just don't all attack her at once, we've got a dragon and a few phoenix essences left, so we'll be fine. But on a more serious note: yes, this. Phoenix Essences, Vipera can help, and a Phoenix Incense is essentially starting the battle back over, so as long as Cronk doesn't go down, you've got two shots at this. That's ok, it was clear that that was only the beginning of the fight, however, as this is a continuation, you should have allowed the rest of that round to run, as the actions were valid. Including all the healing and attcky ones. Perhaps you're right. You will be getting double exp. from this battle, so in many ways its treated as two separate ones, just without a chance to heal/use items in between. Perhaps I'm just misinterpreting Zepher's writing, but it seems that even Wren broke her own philosophy in her desire to become Goddess of Chaos. People have philosophies. They have ideals and morals. But people have conflicting versions of those all the time. Wren cares about passion, she cares about people, she cares about beauty, she cares about living forever, she cares about power, she cares about a fair fight, etc. etc. etc. She has lots of opinions on things, and you don't always know which way she'll sway. Just like... real people !! People aren't consistent, and you can't understand them all the time. They do some things you'd absolutely expect, and some things you wouldn't. You can't really understand Wren and all that she does. Sometimes she adheres to her morals perfectly, sometimes not at all. She might just have good and bad days. Who knows! Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Arthur reminds me of the scene in Independence Day when all the party goers on the rooftop were excited and in awe when the alien ships started to open. Then they were all blown to smithereens by the aliens. Quote
CMP Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 ....she cares about a fair fight... And yet here we are, a bunch of mortals fighting a god.... Quote
Palathadric Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Not to mention the Mon Dac Reef and its standing army of a thousand Teuthisal or so. Please, please, please, if Arthur survives this, can they run a quest to cover this. Monk Pretzel will sign up. I know if he were to meet Arthur he'd probably love to kill him...but then again, he would hate the Teuthisals probably more. Quote
