Endgame Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Crikey that was a long post! Well, 48ers, this is it - my final trump card! The final battle of the Progg story comes down to a game of Extreme Tennis... Quote
CMP Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 That's totally unrealistic, Endgame. The belltower can't be that tall. They should all die after five rounds. Quote
Endgame Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 If you think about it realisitically, Eidolon shouldn'tve even been able to finish that first sentence while falling. But I'm happy with my choice of setting for this little bout. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Well, 48ers, this is it - my final trump card! The final battle of the Progg story comes down to a game of Extreme Tennis... Ah yes, extreme tennis, the most dangerous game. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 It seems like shit has just hit the fan in quest 48. I doubt we can win this battle in 9 rounds, this is completely different to the 2nd to last battle of quest 35 where we were just trying to stay alive until the orcs came to help us. Quote
Endgame Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 This is completely doable. It is all just a question of prioritizing. Quote

Holy shit. He's healed himself of the crumbling poison. Sylph offers Eidolon his employ as his general on the grounds that Eidolon let him live. Lol, as if he would do that... and as if Eidolon would accept. Now I get to think up a new strategy. You bastard, I'm supposed to be playing Mafia too! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 No offence Endgame, but he has gauntlets, tail, wings, rubble all protecting him. Bear in mind, we just got damaged/ko'd by him earlier, and before that we fought a micro-Q50. This is a lot harder than Q35, Q38 final battles. Quote

You bastard, I'm supposed to be playing Mafia too! ~Insectoid Aristocrat It wouldn't do squat anyway, only boulders can lower his ludicrous SP right now. Hard battles are good! And you got double EXP and a boat load of loot from the Fungeon. Besides, I purposely designed specific holes into him... they may be small now, but get your priorities straight and they can become gaps in his defenses you could drive a truck through. Besides, it'll only make it more rewarding when you strike the bastard down. Edited March 17, 2013 by Endgame Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Correction: If we strike the bastard down. What happens after 9 rounds, the fall will kill Eidolon too surely? Quote

Is his immunity to fragile different from his immunity to scrolls? IE; If we took his immunity away, could I then cast frail on him? Correction: If we strike the bastard down. Endgame Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) Worry not, I have a contingency plan in (the unlikely) case of failure! "If" is what makes the battle enjoyable! And blame DLL, he forced my hand. No, but seriously, you have Punii (currently weakened, but not entirely), a Raider, a Druid, a lucky Rogue that can attack from the back row. Oh, and a fair portion of Danny's science notebook. DLL, yes, if you strike down his wings you will be able to cast Fragile on him - Fragile and fragile only, though. One of the aforementioned holes in his defenses. Edited March 17, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Flipz Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Wait, an 8-foot plunge? So everyone takes 2 Damage and is otherwise fine, then. In other news...are you quite sane?! Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 What if we destroy his wings first? Then when we fall he falls. The bigger they are the harder we fall. Quote

I think this is gunna be a fun challenge. just let me mess with 62 for a sec, and I'll break out the Science notebook. *scribble scribble, muthafudgin' Frail, scribble.* Wait, an 8-foot plunge? Endgame Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 His wings are already crippled - Roni fried them. He is literally falling, just like you. If he is going to hell, he is determined to drag you with him. 8 floor. Did I say foot? Was my sanity ever NOT in question? I mean, just look at a Progg... I'm confident you can beat this guy, 48ers! Quote
Flipz Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 8 floor. Did I say foot? Yes. Yes you did. (I, personally, would go with the term "8-story" just to minimize reading typos, but that's just me. ) Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I think we can beat it, no need for complaining everybody. Except... this is A LOT harder than Le Fantome in 37. Quote
Palathadric Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Sorry Regulus, but I'm not your father. Don't listen to him, Regulus! I am your father! Quote
Palathadric Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Hoke looks around and is surprised to see not a single guard. No, no, no, Hoke and Drake are quite different really. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 No, no, no, Hoke and Drake are quite different really. I can't believe made that mistake. I think it's actually a mix between "He" an accidental "o" and "Drake," but I could have just been really really confused. I'm having a tough time multi-tasking. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Zepher Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Hopefully that woke Cronk up. Sorry all, the dice weren't with you this round. This is why you have an incense. Quote
