Zepher Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Technically not a revival, Roland isn't dead, nor is he actually probably there. Quote
Endgame Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Nor is he a boss monster, by the looks of things - comparing his stats to other beasties so far in 53, he may be the weakest yet! (Besides Buzzy.) Edited March 19, 2013 by Endgame Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Wow Zeph! You are merciful! I guess that answers my question about rolling a spellspin. Quote
Scorpiox Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Wow. That round has to go down in the history books as the most hilarious in all Heroica. Nyx literally just blew up the whole party. Oh, where'd Buzzy go? I think he might have been swept up in the firey ball of death that was circulating around the room at that moment. Quote
JimBee Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Yay! Cool to see Emeraldo back... even if it isn't really him. Though if you look closely, he still has a health of 670/678, so the bombs the heroes of Quest 29 dropped on him must have been effective enough to deal damage over several dimensions... or something. Nor is he a boss monster, by the looks of things - comparing his stats to other beasties so far in 53, he may be the weakest yet! (Besides Buzzy.) Hey, it was a difficult enemy way back when! Damn noobs... Quote
Brickington Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Can I attack an enemy and use the items smelling salts or water bomb on the same round? Quote
CMP Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Can I attack an enemy and use the items smelling salts or water bomb on the same round? Normally, no, you can't attack and use an item in the same turn. Smelling Salts, however, give you the Hastened effect, giving you two turns for every round for the rest of the battle. If you use Smelling Salts first, then you can use either the Water Bomb or attack. Quote
Zepher Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Wow Zeph! You are merciful! I guess that answers my question about rolling a spellspin. Merciful, wrong... same difference, right? Thanks for watching my stupidity, CMP. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Hey, it was a difficult enemy way back when! Damn noobs... Back in my day, we fought Level 5 enemies for bosses without those fancy status effects, and we liked it! Quote
Palathadric Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Back in the days when you used to win battles in one turn...quite frequently. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Back in the days when you used to win battles in one turn...quite frequently. My party almost got one of those. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Sir Brickington uses smelling salts and throws the Water bomb at the Mercenary and then attacks him from the front row for his second try. You can't use the Water Bomb and attack. Using the Smelling Salts uses up your (first) Turn, and then they give you another Turn. You can't use a Water Bomb and attack during only that one remaining Turn. Additionally, you can't target someone with a bomb, so you don't throw the Water Bomb at the Mercenary, you just throw it. Etzel Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 "I don't think using a scroll on an enemy counts as targetting, so someone will still have to target the golem this round unless you want to take a free hit from him. I think William can also absorb a free hit while he's petrified, but I'm not sure about that. I'll leave the decision up to you, just tell me what to do." Really? It's been a while since I handled scrolls so maybe it has changed or I remember wrong but I thought they counted as targeting? Quote
Endgame Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 They were indeed changed to allow free hits. Quote

Palathadric Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Nope they don't count as targeting anymore, not sure if they ever did, but as long as I have had mine they didn't. Healing does though. I could heal the golem if you like. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 They did once target enemies, but that was changed to prevent easy Free Hit blocking. (since you can't roll Damage or Special Damage while casting a Scroll) Sort of like how some of us will now have a hero heal a particularly dangerous enemy to block the Free Hit while the other enemies are dealt with, except that in the case of Scrolls, it was really unbalanced because the hero could use a negative effect Scroll. (instead of the healing which doesn't do anything to harm the (non-Undead) enemy targeted) Quote

Rumble Strike Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 They did used to count as targeting an enemy, but CallMePie broke the system and it had to be changed Quote
