Brickdoctor Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Hey guys! I am trying to post my character but am running into the following issue. Whenever I try to edit my signature to include the character information as per the game's rules, I am unable to format tit to occupy more then 2 lines. However I see a lot fo people having nice, long signature files that are not linked images. How do you manage to accomplish that? It's one of the limitations of the "I'm New!" usergroup. You need to make ten posts first. Quote
Chromeknight Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 (edited) Hey guys! I am trying to post my character but am running into the following issue. However I see a lot fo people having nice, long signature files that are not linked images. How do you manage to accomplish that? The number of line you're allowed in your signature is because of the number of posts you've made. The actual formatting of your signature doesn't matter much. What you've got is fine (Though you don't need to include ether as a barbarian and you also start with a potion and you need to include (WP:3) after your trident). All you need to add now is a photo. If you're having trouble with that, PM me and I'll give you a hand. Edited November 8, 2011 by Chromeknight Quote

Another option is to include the picture in your first line with your text, at least until you get 10 posts then you can add the third line. As far as deep linking the picture either use the attach picture option on the editor or surround the link with {img}{/img} with the { swithced to [ Hope this helps, can't wait to see what a Sargassan looks like. Sandy Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Bioniclover and everyone else struggling to tell the topics apart from each other, DO NOT POST INTO THE QUEST TOPICS unless you're a player! It's distracting, annoying, and you have no business posting there in any case. If you have a question about the quest, ask it here. Hey guys! I am trying to post my character but am running into the following issue. What a wonderful character! He has now been added to the Gallery of Heroes in the first post of the Heroica Hall topic. Oh, and all the players who have recently finished a quest should also check out the Gallery to see a list of their achievements. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Was kind of a 'facepalm' moment when I noticed the turban. The one thing we didn't search? Exactly my thoughts, I even remember thinking that is a strange object. But it never dawned on me that was the turban till I went over the pictures again. You know what is weird though, in the battle scene it is gone! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Gotta hand it to you Pie, that was well spotted. Nice work! And also well hidden by WBD. I guess those lovely sets aren't just eye candy! I wonder if we didn't draw a connection earlier because we didn't do the shops in the "correct" order? Quote

But it never dawned on me that was the turban till I went over the pictures again. You know what is weird though, in the battle scene it is gone! Yes, that was an error on my part, I had the scene ready and had already taken pictures when I remembered I needed to put the hat in, so I retook photos of the pre-battle set, but forgot to put the hat in the battle photo and I was too lazy to set that scene back up Gotta hand it to you Pie, that was well spotted. The order wasn't that big of a deal as long as you went to Mandrel's last so you could get the clue. I'll say more about the behind the scenes goings on when you guys finish up the quest. Quote

Jebediahs Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 How does the haste effect work? Unless told otherwise, I am going to treat it like a free hit against target instead of a second /roll. I don't think it'd be fair if a situation arose where a party was hit by a devasting aoe they could recover from in the next round but have their opportunity to heal up in that round taken away by a hastened ally who rolled the aoe on their second attack that ends up KO'ing the entire party. For the player characters, the hastened status gives them two turns in one round (both with their individual rolls). In enemies' case, I'd agree with you that it would give the enemy an unpreventable free hit. The negative effects also have slightly different mechanics depending on if they're inflicted on the heroes or on the enemies, so I think we can all accept this to include the positive effects as well. Oh, and Khorne, how nice that your text about the norse gods happened to coincide with a quest I'll be hosting some time in the future. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I love how the quest is turning out WBD, first interrogation, now talking to ninjas! Hope we have to fight them, I need the levels..... Quote
Sandy Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Oh, I think it's about time for this: Three more to be revealed... Quote
soccerkid6 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Atramor bravely steps forward. "....Well, tell them what we're here for, Glorfy," he mutters to the side. This made me laugh so hard. By the way did I ever give you permission to call me Glorfy? JK. Quote
Peanuts Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 They look nice. I might settle for the Black Knight right now, but I'll have to wait for further description. And the last three advanced classes, of course. Quote
CMP Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 The cowled spokesman retorts, "I would speak to someone of more noble countenance, not some backwoods renegade feigning chivalry and certainly not that insideous looking individual sporting yonder fowl upon his pate." Atramor's response would've been "Yeah, well, up yours too, Stumpy." Quote
Bricksandparts Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Wait a minute, shouldn't there be 15 classes? 5+4+3+2+1=15 Now we have 3+3+3=9 classes, and only 3 more? Sandy, could you clear this up for me? Quote

K-Nut Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 That sage looks so awesome! But the Sorcerer could have great character development. So hard to choose! But I don't want Althior to age, or wear a turban. Quote
CMP Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I'm debating Sorceror or Witch...Sorceror I get elemental stuff, but with Witch, in conjunction with my Glass Dagger, I'll be the ultimate healing machine. Decisions... Quote

Sandy Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 But I don't want Althior to age, or wear a turban. Again, just in case you weren't joking, the classes have nothing to do with how your character looks. Quote
