Kintobor Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Karie Alderflask: QM killer extraordinaire! Leaving tons of time to spare! Where she'll strike next, nobody knows! But one thing's for sure: it'll be one hell of a show! I couldn't resist! Sorry Danny! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 (edited) Karie Alderflask: QM killer extraordinaire! Leaving tons of time to spare! Where she'll strike next, nobody knows! But one thing's for sure: it'll be one hell of a show! I couldn't resist! Sorry Danny! Well, Karie Alderflask. You changed my plans for this battle quite a bit. But, what the 'ell. Plans change. This'll be fun. Here's the Chart I typed up for the Pick-Pocketing. 1- Success, Karie pulls out a long Dagger, getting noticed. 2- Partial Success, Karie pulls out a long dagger which "Alex" promptly wrests from her hands and returns it to himself. Cue Combat. 3- Moderate success, Karie grabs at the item in his pocket, identifying it as a metal cylinder, shaped to be held in a palm, but she is spotted by "Alex" and dealt with accordingly. 4- Moderate Failure, Karie attempts to grab the item, but fails, and is noticed. 5- Failure, Karie fails to pick-pocket "Alex" and is noticed and her Rapier is swiped 6- Bad Failure, Karie fails to pick-pocket "Alex" and is noticed, and stabbed in the chest and brought to 1 health. Cue combat. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited March 25, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Well, these are master thieves, and the best hit-men the were-raven mafia had. I considered it, but thought also about the repercussions should I allow that. Thinking about it now though, you're probably right, but I think how things played out worked rather well overall. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited March 25, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Zepher Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hey all, busy weekend, will do the next update sometime tomorrow. There's a few more plot points to come, but no battles (should The Regret show up?), so rest easy, be happy, have fun. Quote

Flare Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Why, we're just walking to a pond. You were standing still talking to an owl Quote
herrJJ Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 So, Ed Po has level 16. As Karie pickpocketed Al and got the dagger, is Ed's passive special now inactive? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 So, Ed Po has level 16. As Karie pickpocketed Al and got the dagger, is Ed's passive special now inactive? Yes. With Al Po Alive and with dagger, he's level 20.... Not to mention that the Al Po you're fighting is nerfed because of lack of dagger. Thank Karie for that. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Zepher Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Boomingham wasn't talking to an owl. He's a Knight, not a Ranger. He doesn't know owl talk. Quote
Flipz Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 owl talk. Sounds like a good name for a radio show. ...Flare, you HAVE to parody CarTalk at some point. It is your destiny! Quote
herrJJ Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 (edited) Or he was just @#62: I think it is ok to waste one round for Karie and Dreyrugr to exchange weapons for the possible outcome of a stunning wouldn't be that bad And as long as every enemy is targeted we don't run into a problem... The battle only takes one round longer (in the worst case) yeah, yeah, yeah, I know... Nevermind Edited March 25, 2013 by herrJJ Quote
Tanma Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Anyone else get the reference Arthur is making? Quote

Flipz Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Anyone else get the reference Arthur is making? What's really weird is how well it applies to both Arthur and to me. The only part of it that doesn't fit either one of us is the bit about the nephew, which is really weird and doesn't fit the rest of the piece anyway. Oh, and if they don't get it now, they should soon. Quote
Endgame Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 (should The Regret show up?) Progg or person? If Progg, hey, you can never have too many deranged pyscho eldritch being-thingies mock you in one quest. Quote
Flipz Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 (edited) Garg, I was afraid it would end up forced. My bad. It's okay, Zeph, we can wait. It'll give us time to polish the concept. To the other 53ers, just ignore that last bit. It'll come up some other time, when it's more appropriate. Edited March 25, 2013 by Flipz Quote

LordoftheNoobs Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 "Some nights I wish that this all could end...but I still wake up, and I'm still not sure what I stand for." He looks to Skrall. "What do I stand for? What do I stand for? Most nights...I don't know anymore." Arthur! Now is no time to be making obscure musical references! (Yes, I got it. ) Quote
