Cutcobra Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Kintobor, if we save all the lands will the father give us an extra reward?. Quote
Palathadric Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I wanted Monk Pretzel to go on another Guild of Invision quest. He would probably become an alchemist by mistake. Quote
Kintobor Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Kintobor, if we save all the lands will the father give us an extra reward?. Hmm. I'll have to contemplate it. You guys also got the bonus loot for reuniting Aldus and Violet, and there's some decent loot coming up. We'll see. Maybe he'll come with some of his wife's pastries! I heard her corn fritters are divine! Quote
Zepher Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hopefully my current quest wraps up before everyone leaves the hall! If Boomingham could see Nyx AND Hoke AND Atters AND Guts AND Skrall again.... Quote

Zepher Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 (edited) I think Guts and Skrall would be an interesting match-up... and so would Guts and Haldor (for some reason). Guts has been intriguing me more and more as a character recently. I want to see him quest with nearly everyone. Hybros has the same effect on me for some reason. EDIT: Actually, I could see a real cool quest, near the end of the story line, being Skrall, Guts and Boomingham. Wouldn't that be an intriguing party? If they said goodbye the youngsters they admire and look after and went and did something they were most likely going to die doing? Would be interesting. Edited April 4, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Thanks Zepher, intrigueing someone is good! There are quite a few people I want Guts to go with on a quest as well, Atramor, Skrall, Boomingham, Haldor, Sarge... I really want in on Masked's quest though, Guild of Invision Rep, and the premise sounds perfect for Guts. If it's not turning into an (important) NPC, that's how I want Guts to end, a suicide mission. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Guts does seem like a great fit for Alchemist. I think so too! Less of the studious type of Alchemist, more of the chugging and throwing mixtures all around-type. Quote
CMP Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I think so too! Less of the studious type of Alchemist, more of the chugging and throwing mixtures all around-type. Exactly. I love it how certain characters put their own spin on classes rather than playing on what'd be expected. Thothwick as a Black Knight, Boomingham as a Paladin, Sylph as a Druid, for example. Quote
Flipz Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I really wish I had my alt available to run Masked's Quest; my primary goal for my second character is to run Alchemist and Paragon. Also, Skrall had better come talk to Arthur before either one of them leaves on another Quest. Quote
Zepher Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 (edited) I've actually finally started to give some serious thought to a second character. I don't know exactly what direction I'm going in, but I've got a few ideas floating around. EDIT: And yeah, the old crotchity men could be a really interesting suicide near the end of the story line - it'd have to be something important, but man oh man, that'd be a good one. They could try to stop Wren from becoming a god oh wait. You came so close to convincing me to kill off Arthur when you made that comment about it being the perfect ending for him, you know. Because you were right. It would have been a good ending for him. He's made a lot of bad choices, and those have caught/are going to catch up to him. But at the same time, part of Arthur's lost-ness and searching for connection and meaning in a crapsack world really speaks to who I am as a human being, and a part of me desperately hopes he can find a happy ending (even if it comes with a heavy cost), because that part of me believes it means my own search and struggle for meaning in a meaningless world is not completely in vain. Wait. I'm doing it again. Bringing heavy philosophy into a role-playing game. Sorry. I'll stop now. Anyway, I don't really know what Arthur's end would look like. Who knows? Maybe he'll actually live through to the end of the game. But I do think that next time he's got an interesting and relevant way to die (it would very much have to tie into who he is as a person, as Wren did), it probably will be the end for him. Quote
Flare Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Anyway, I don't really know what Arthur's end would look like. Who knows? Maybe he'll actually live through to the end of the game. Wait... Theres an end to the game!? :oh2: Quote

There was a time I was thinking Dyric's end would be him returning back home with his exile ended, but lately that really doesn't seem to be a path that makes much sense, considering his protection of Eubric. Masked Builder Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 My quest will be pretty short. ~1 Month or so. It could be shorter depending on how quickly the heroes get through it. Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Exactly. I love it how certain characters put their own spin on classes rather than playing on what'd be expected. Thothwick as a Black Knight, Boomingham as a Paladin, Sylph as a Druid, for example. Thanks. He's probably the least 'peace and love' hippie Druid there is. And thus enters the true final boss of the Progg Saga! Well that escalated quickly. As for Sylph's demise, I certainly have plans. I may have a QM make a Quest specifically for it (One of those quests which relate to your character things) but I'm certainly panning something. I may wait until he becomes a prophet, but I might decide to do it before then (especially since prophet is so far away .) Endgame knows what I'm talking about. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Pandora Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hopefully my current quest wraps up before everyone leaves the hall! If Boomingham could see Nyx AND Hoke AND Atters AND Guts AND Skrall again.... Well Nyx'll probably still be around. When she finally fully sobers up she'll hopefully realise that an Invision quest won't help her at all on her route to becoming a Necromancer. It's a shame as it looks like a good quest. Quote
Zepher Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 An Atramor Nyx Skrall Boomers quest would be interesting as well. Another thought- have Nur and Guts ever met? That'd be interesting! Rereading some old stuff to catch up on my character notes. When Boomingham invited Guts and Eric to sit at the table, I thought to myself "that's quite a faux pas" but it wasn't yet, because it was just PRE quest 58. It is still an interesting conversation to re-read. Characters changing opinions of each other are always intriguing. Quote
