It's so bad, you know those statues are going to come alive and try to kill us, but I can't think of a way to justify smashing them to pieces in-character.

You don't need an in-character reason. You think it'll give you a statistical advantage, just do it. Besides, there should be no separation between in-character and out-of-character knowledge.

Sure.... But at the same time, there's the gameplay aspect to consider that the more enemies, the more loot. So it may be more beneficial to keep them up, for now.

And you don't have a powerful enough character do you.

Just wondering; what's the black knight's.... Gimmick. I mean, witch has special mirror, poisoning and mass illusion, Sorcerer confuse and Magnetic mojo, Assassin the OHKO and black knight? Mug without the gold and darkness damage. And hide Or is it the Mortal hit thing? That doesn't seem very corrupt In my opinion; giving up your Health to kill an enemy. It seems rather selfless...

Duh. It's a Black Knight.

We've discussed the Black Knights effectiveness recently in here, with me being one of the ones calling for a buff. But I have seen now how the Black Knight can be used effectively in battle, and I'm even considering trying it out for a quest or two. Health can be used as a power boost, and if you know what you're doing, you can have consistent and massive power boosts, since multipliers take effect after sacrificed health is added to power. So a level 15 Black Knight with a WP:10 weapon can sacrifice, say, 25 health for a hit. (10+15+25) x2 (encouraged) x2 (elemental advantage) = 200 dmg, for starters. Take a grand potion and repeat. It all works if you have a strategy.

On another note, everyone check this out. It's a nice small guide for classes and may provide inspiration for new classes. :sweet:

I just realized what a perfect battle this last one could have been for Mizuki and De'kra to really rake in the gold, especially Mizuki. With Mizuki not doing any damage on Shield rolls, but just bringing in the gold, we could have had Maurice constantly healing the golem, although his SP would have done a great job in protecting from any damage he would have taken, while I could have healed Mizuki or vice versa. De'kra and I could also have him constantly sealed, so in the end it means big profits.

...But I'm glad it's over, and many thanks, Zakura.

However you'll have to take a round to use the grand potion, where as if you spent those two rounds doing damage without sacrificing HP, you'll still be at 200 dmg after the two rounds. :def_shrug:

You are wearing some tricked out Dancing Shoes so just bust a move!

Arthur. What are you doing? Arthur. Stahp!

*Sigh* Well, if he insists on making a self-destructive decision, at least I hope it's interesting... :sceptic:

EDIT: Wow, I completely misused that meme. Fix'd.

@DLL: Does Hexed overwrite confused completely? I would've thought they still stack, so Dreyrugr is Hexed, Confused, Marked, acting against party for sure the next round and with a 50% chance of acting against party in the other two rounds.

Sorry, 62er, I just want to learn...

Actually, they DO stack, which means that even though he's Hexed, he has a 50% chance to attack the enemy party (I think).

They definitely do NOT cancel each other out, though.

Also, you've got eleven days. Should be PLENTY of time if the other areas are any indication, and if Kintobor sticks to the 24 hour rule (if someone hasn't posted in 24 hours, they are assumed to agree with the Party Leader).

But then he wouldn't be Hexed at all, would he?

You are right. I thought we had less time. But with the pace of the days before, even 11 days are short.

Regardless of the rules on the subject, I meant for Hexed to replace Confused. It's all part of the same escalating Special. When I wrote it originally, it was only used when target was confused, but I figure that that would have next to no effect, because why pin anyone who's confused on an opponent in the first place, so I added the Marked mechanism to make it more likely to actually effect the party. It'd have been clearer then, as it would have read: Target is hexed. (Used only if Target is Confused), but still technically wrong. As it is, I think it's still somewhat obvious what I meant, but I'm going to fix the diction. It likely won't make much of a difference strategy-wise, though. Thanks for catching me on that though.

Also, in my defense, I wrote up the characters in 45 minutes as I was posting. I thought they weren't going to fight, but then I decided to help them out by making the decision process easier and threw them into combat, but I was only half-way prepared myself.

For being unprepared, It's a really good set of enemies. You're hit point calculation was a little low on a couple of them, but the specials for the 3 ravens, and the way they complement each other is terrific. I think it makes for a more interesting strategy, as there is a definite benefit to targeting specific enemies before the others and ignoring certain enemies to reduce the effectiveness of others.

I see. So I need to add Grand potions to my long list of things I need for advanced classes.

Legonater, how long will your quest be. Actually, I'm gonna ask all the Qm's so I'll ask WBD too .How Long will your quest be?

Also, Anyone want to go to the fields once the current party get out of there?

'Tis gonna be a loooooooooong time...

Just one more battle until the Obsidian Dragon, actually, though I don't know if the party plans to stop there or not.

Oh.. I thought they were going to stop at 100 glory points. What; are they going for the pitchfork of destiny?

We already have acquired 100 glory points. Our current plan is to fight the Obsidian Dragon, and then if there are quests still available to sign up for, to leave. If there aren't any quests to sign up for, then we'll stay either until there are new sign-ups, or until we're getting close to Elphaba's departure date.

So in either case, its unlikely we'll be in there for more than a couple more weeks.

So Johon's Sword of Decay gave me an idea.

I'm currently making an awesome weapon of epic proportions.

It can kill all enemies. It is truly a weapon of the gods.

Coming soon... the Sword of Disney.

To be released never.

So how does Hoke best spend his 258 gp? Garnet, Counterstike Gloves & misc or Diamond, Amethyst & misc? Or sell something to get 22 gp and buy 2 gems and Counterstike Gloves?

Decisions, decisions...

Thanks! :sweet: I never expect for Amorith to roll a one in the first round, but for some bizarre reason, he always does. I think he's bribing the Random Dice Goddess. Also, I didn't mean for this battle to go on quite as long as the Po Brothers battle, so I let a few of the monsters have really low HP. Too low. I agree about the strategy. I think they complement each-other better than even the Po Brothers (but with their HP killing one first would have been an up-hill battle.) I think that enemies that allow the PCs to strategize are funner for both the players and the QM.
