CMP Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 You asked for her, and she's back! Umbra Shadeaux makes an appearance for the first time since Quest #2. Awesome. "Oui, I remember ze last time I met wiz 'eroes, not zuch a rezonable bunch, non? And zo violent. Hit zings furst, zen talk." But in our defense, we did try and negotiate for a better bribe. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Ghlrk...! Then why did you attach Hinckwell rep?! Haven't you learned that my quest pitches are deceivingly ordinary yet? Quote
Cutcobra Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) I literally realized what the Hamanstash was. I'm such an idiot . Edited April 12, 2013 by Eric Su Quote

Brickdoctor Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 On that note, I'm surprised that none of the heroes in Quest 63 tried just smashing the chest to open it. Quote
CMP Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Tried. Then we mostly hit things again. I didn't say it was a successful negotiation... On that note, I'm surprised that none of the heroes in Quest 63 tried just smashing the chest to open it. Masked already mentioned it was puzzle. Smashing it isn't much of a puzzle. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Masked already mentioned it was puzzle. Smashing it isn't much of a puzzle. Right, but I'm surprised that no one tried it anyways. Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Why Don't You Just Smash it? But then they'd be cutting the knot. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Costy Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) Boomingham flips open the lid, to find a near-empty chest. He finds something wrapped in a piece of cloth. Picking it up, he unwraps it, finding... a very precious shard of a very precious mineral! Adamantite Shard - 1/4 of a whole Adamantite ore. Actually, what would the value of Adamantite be? Edited April 12, 2013 by Costy Quote
Flare Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) Actually, what would the value of Adamantite be? Well, a lot, but its doubtful anyone will ever find the other 3 shards... Anyways, I promised that there would be a hidden treasure somewhere in the quest, and Boomingham figured it out... Edited April 12, 2013 by Flare Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Good old Boomers, he knows the score. Quote

Now lets hurry back, I cant wait to do some shopping and upgrade Thalion's firepower! (Yes, I know how it sounds - I like tanks! ) Quote
CMP Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Now lets hurry back, I cant wait to do some shopping and upgrade Thalion's firepower! (Yes, I know how it sounds - I like tanks! ) A good tank focuses on more Defense, not firepower... Quote
-obelix- Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 A good tank focuses on more Defense, not firepower... True, true, but in this case we will go the opposite road, first upgrade the firepower (diversify to be specific), and later upgrade the defense, when enough money is raised... This will be a non-standard tank... Quote

-obelix- Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) So you're going to go mystic knight then? That would make a standard mage tank, right? So no, not necessarily... What about a Sage with Spellbound Gloves, the scepter I currently have in my inventory and a big numbered SP cape and cap? But I should be quiet, I don't wont spoil the surprise... So Thalion is more like artillery than tank? Yes, at this point I guess you could say that. But I plan on changing that with adding diversity in Thalion's arsenal... Well, alas, You can't upgrade artifacts.. So I would love to be a witch tank, I can't be because I have to upgrade a shield; and become a black knight. Quote

Mages are generally termed "glass cannons" as they tend to have high damage outputs due to elemental rock-paper-scissors, but are fragile when it comes to taking damage. Mystic knights are something along the Pyrex variety of this categorization. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 So Thalion is more like artillery than tank? No, silly, mages are more like bazookas on tricycles. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Mystic knights are something along the Pyrex variety of this categorization. Hoke is working on more SP. Tried to get Zepher to let me turn the Zoot's Plaything into a shield or armor. Quote
