Quarryman Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Come on Jeb! I'm the second highest Level player second to Nyx. I only need Four more battles to hit level 15! Shouldn't you be worrying more about the players' levels in the quest you're hosting than your own? Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Shouldn't you be worrying more about the players' levels in the quest you're hosting than your own? Yeah, I've been slacking. But you guys have about three or four more battles. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Quest#13 is now go! Hopefully everyone will enjoy it Also, interesting to see that Jess has a love rival now. Poor Haldor Quote
Scorpiox Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Wuh, Where? I think you mean the other way around. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) SOMEBODY get to lvl 15 already! I want to see some stats, STAT! In other news... I have two items that have SP, my shield and Warrior's Treads. I am assuming the treads are an artifact and cannot be improved? And if I can add SP to my shield, does it work just like the weapons (desired lvl x10 gold)? Edited November 12, 2011 by UsernameMDM Quote
Jebediahs Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 ATTENTION ALL QMs. Please end your quests when your highest level participant reaches level 14½ Sorry if Sandy says no to upgrading your Treads. I would have put more SP on them as I intended it to be a mid-endgame item. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) Sorry if Sandy says no to upgrading your Treads. I would have put more SP on them as I intended it to be a mid-endgame item. You're a QM, I am sure there is some kind of magic an NPC can do to make the boots stronger. BTW - how does one sell artifacts? Or are they just for trading? I have the useful Cultist hat, but since my sword has the wind property, I can damage undead without using the Cultist hat. Edited November 12, 2011 by UsernameMDM Quote

You can only trade artifacts to another player, you cannot sell them to the NPC merchants. Sorry. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 If your still here when I get back maybe we can do a trade. I wont send Jess a Rose everyday, and you give me the hat? Deal? Quote
JimBee Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I'd be willing to take that cultist hat off of your hands, as well. Quote

Zepher Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Boomingham could also do with the hat. Also, Brickdoctor, I'm loving the end of your quest!!! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Also, Brickdoctor, I'm loving the end of your quest!!! Thanks. It all leads up to this - here's hoping the heroes can figure it out! Quote
swils Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Thanks. It all leads up to this - here's hoping the heroes can figure it out! Bah, decisions. I'd like to just take out Keveak and leave Ricroar, but I don't imagine you'll be letting us do that, heh. Quote

K-Nut Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Boss battles for 75 page quests are always exciting, I need some Popcorn! Quote
swils Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Nope. Double "bah". Am I able to apply items like Venom and Mead preemptively, or do I have to use them within the battle? Quote
Tanma Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Boss battles for 75 page quests are always exciting, I need some Popcorn! Sure it's fun for the viewers, but what about us, the characters? We're racked with fear that we will fail this quest after spending so much time on it. We spent over three times the length of some quests here, what if we chose wrong? What if we die? We spent too much time on this quest to die now, or to chosethe wrong culprit. Sure my money's on the Elf(if De'kra had any money, he is forty two gold in debt), but how many of my crazy theories have been right thus far? But in truth it was very entertaining and next time Brickdoctor makes a quest odds are that De'kra will come along. Quote
K-Nut Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) It does seem Nerve-racking to the players, but fun from the sidelines! Though I feel bad for those in Quest #12. Not a single enemy in double digits. EDIT: Althior's a Count! Woot! Edited November 12, 2011 by K-nut Quote

I've enjoyed every minute and page of the quest, and if we fail here, then so be it. We'll have to forfeit our Shadeaux equipment, but we've gained a bunch of experience (both in-game, and with H.RPG in general), as well as gotten a few unique pieces of gear along the way. Can't take that away. Well, maybe he can, but that'd be beyond cruel, heh. I just went and reread some of the latest information we've gotten, and I'm really curious, Doc, just how creative are you? I can imagine quite a few endgame scenarios arising, each more complicated than the last. I'll save it for the thread, though. Edit: 'Grats K-nut/Althior! Edited November 12, 2011 by swils Quote

I can't help it, I'm still under the irritable affects of a bad movie; a bad movie without MST3K treatment. I will never get those ninety minutes back! But true enough, we have accomplished a lot here that can't be taken from us. And unless I die in this battle, my level will increase to the two digits. I still don't want to lose, but I won't deny that even without victory we have accomplished more in this quest than most people do in a won quest. But mostly I need to get my share of the 2000 gold to pay off my debt to Tomas and a certain barbarian. Quote
