Don't worry, there's some good story here. You just have to get to it.

I'm used to the NPCs force-feeding us backstory and dying off in a vain attempt to get us to care about them, so it may take some time for me to find it.

I really like the Quest so far, the house gives off a tense feeling, with there being weird statues and magically locked chests. It's good!

We'll show you a thing or two about equality! Everyone's equal when they're dead!

Dannylonglegs, I'm curious, is your quote above from your quest a reference to a certain movie? I remember that line exactly...

Like many things in my quest, this is indeed a reference. This is to Gavroche in "Les Miserables," and it's more like, "Here's the thing about equality--everyone's equal when they're dead." and the lines the bard sings after that are retrofitted from the lines following those in Gavroche's song.

Aha! I knew it! I do the same thing in my quests. Les Mis rocks!

I saw Les Mis a week or two ago, and loved it. I got the movie and deluxe soundtrack within a matter of days, its the only musical I've thoroughly enjoyed. Any quotes are more than welcome, especially from a great character like Gavroche.

Random question: Why are broomsticks ranged?

Because they can fly to the enemy, hit them, and then fly back to the Back Row.

Spring Awakening. Try to see it live, I don't know if there even IS a film version, let alone if it's any good.

Aaaannnd my second quest finished up. What a good feeling, to be done with hosting these guys  Just kidding, the heroes in #57 were forty-two times as good as the #42 heroes :poke:

Hmm I'm thinking of the damage caused by Ratsbane's gems imbued into the Cheesy Dagger while wearing the Ratmancers Cowl. Might as well throw in the new rat cloak that Atramor has, too.

You're making me feel like an outsider, having gone to see Lincoln instead when they were both in the cinema. :sing:

I did the same, but I'm happy with my decision because Lincoln was a great movie. Question: what is a Brit doing going out to watch a movie on an American President?

Obviously, it was in preparation for the shift to Ameribricks.

I felt the same way when I saw it. And tell you what. Why was a British actor playing an USA president? :poke:

Wait, I didn't know that. There is something wrong when you hire a Brit to be be an American President. :sadnew:

(Nothing wrong with Brits, but I wouldn't think it would be right for a American to have a British Prime Minister role.)

Know your enemy! :poke:

Good four months preparation, just to be safe.

Only because we're blessed with less overt accents. Just realised, this has already happened. Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher anyone?

But being serious, Lincoln was an excellent film with brilliant performances all round, not just from the Britons.

Agreed. Now onto Heroica!

I find it funny looking into the Historica forums and seeing how many of us Heroica Players were once taking part in Historica!

They're very similar, so I think a lot of us signed up for Historica because of that. Then, at the same time, that similarity means that those of us who build for Heroica might have to choose between Historica and Heroica. I know that's the case with me; I was QMing a long trilogy and didn't have the time or the bricks to build two major MOCs at a time in the same theme. (The biggest limitation was my technique for the walls with the SNOT tiles - very parts-intensive.)

Well, I can say that I do both. Although so far I am only a player and not a QM. So if your building for both, I can see that being a major challenge.

Just saying, we would love you to come back and build for Avalonia, doc. Maybe that's something you should consider. :sweet:
