WBD, rereading Quest 28. I love it. I'm requesting personally that you put Natnail into a quest that I'm on at some point.

I'll see what I can do about it. It's funny how the characters I never intended to be memorable end up getting remembered and vice versa.

I think it's just another part of how PCs treat NPCs and storylines. As far as quests I've been in: My best-known NPCs were created as mechanical support classes for (what were supposed to be before I realized what Horses could do) the more difficult battles. I think Sandy mentioned that one of the new big baddies was originally a supporting NPC witch in some bog an ocean away for which there were no future plans. And Zepher can top both of those; his Emperor of Dastan was originally a nameless Fighter NPC.

Bah. Too easy...

Completely underwhelming. You told us we'd have to use so many phoenix essences!

I look forward to the new zone we've unlocked, if the group sticks around a while. I'm not really sure at this point what the plan is. I think we should just go clear all the guardians, personally

Oh, and what about this tidbit?

they will gain extra GP and a special title,

Yeah, sure. I hereby bestow the title of Consumable Addicted Heartless Dragon Murderer upon all of you. Congratulations.

I'll take it! I am genuinely curious, though, because the idea of a title unique to a select few adventurers immediately stood out to me when the Fields were first introduced. I was worried that I wouldn't have the chance to snag a title before all the guardians were killed! Silly me

The title thing never came up, so you'll have to wait for Sandy to make a decision on that.

It's up to you guys whether you go for the other Threshold Monsters, but you ate right through all your consumables, it'll be a hell of a lot harder.

Was that supposed to be difficult? :poke:

Yeah, whats this title?

And when do we get to see the map of the western regions that we unlocked? :sweet:

I apologize. You did get awesome rolls, though.

The other two Threshold Monsters require more strategy, though. The Dragon was more like a fight against brute force.

Oops, the title was lost in the planning, it seems.

I want to emphasis that by giving titles, I have never meant the titles below the avatar in your sidebar. I have no power to give those, so apologies if anyone has thought it was about them.

Instead, the titles will be listed in the Heroes Gallery at Heroica Hall. The five of you who defeated the Obsidian Dragon will get yours right away.

That's one of the situations where Hunters shine, I think: brute force against a single opponent (especially with several multipliers). Looking back, the battle could have used 2 or 3 minions with 200 or so hp to add a bit more strategizing.

Well, the Jade Kraken has 8 of those. So why don't you head there next.

Why don't you just try to get the team up to Level 30? Xander might have to settle for a Level-Up Shroom at the end, but I'm sure that there are 8 battles left to get the rest of the team to 30...

Yeah, but we could get to Level 30 faster if we had the medals

That kind of defeats the purpose of sticking together as a team, though.

Alternative: go for five battles, everyone buys Medal of Glory, a Level-Up Shroom (two for Xander, zero for Docken, or Docken and Xander could buy one each and Docken could give his to Xander), and a Teleportapple (because that's interesting and important for future activities; Docken may want to buy two).

They could already easily all get to level 30 with the points they have now.

Well, yeah, but they've got a really good team in there and I highly doubt that team will make it directly back into the Fields as-is.

Not possible, unless they backtrack. I know we said the same for the Dragon, but seriously, the outer reaches are beyond difficult. Quest 50 on steroids difficult.

Also, does anyone else feel the stolen Bonaparte artifact from 33 could really use a buff?

Well, that's what I'm saying, go and clean out the easier areas for extra exp. Maybe run into the Burning Forest to give us all a taste of what that area's like, toss their last Smoke Bomb, and THEN clear out the easy areas.

Well, unless they WANT to leave the Fields now. But does Althior really want to play Beast Warrior at 30?

I am starting to get bored of the Fields... also I have a couple of deals in the Hall that I want to take care of. But I'm flexible, if the majority of players would rather stay then thats what I'll do

But is it 48 difficult?

If by that you mean surprise boss battles, then no.

"Oh yeah just splayed on one of the Thresholds, too good for the fields now." :poke:
