Sandy Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 Well, the Obsidian Dragon is done for, but there's the other two Threshold Monsters to go. It seems I need to beef them up a bit for the future. I probably would have beefed up the Dragon too for the party that faced it, had it been my hosting duty, but of course CMP only followed my instructions and cannot be held accountable for them. It was my fault, if someone needs to place blame, that it didn't turn into a week-long epic battle for survival that it should've been. But as CMP pointed out, the party was prepared and ready to face the boss. They deserved the "easy" victory. But the Threshold Monsters are only a taste of what lies in the farthest reaches... Quote

The Legonater Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Who is this mysterious "he" you speak of? Also, after 48, I'm not sure if I should do: >Stealer of Senses, Part 2 >Completely Unrelated One-off quest involving the Sun and Moon >Progg Quest 0 I'd be interested in going on Stealer of Senses Pt 2. Zepher Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Everyone is biting at the bit for this Steerpike Quest. Very exciting. Quote
swils Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 It's the title. Everyone now sees "Dragonslayer" as "Pushover-slayer" so they want to be the heroes that are worth something! Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Ugh, I bet the party is going to be lame and side with the Wolfgang again. Aside from maybe a dire bear I can't see Skrall really transforming into anything if he went Beast Warrior, so no motivation there. Quote
CMP Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 (edited) Ugh, I bet the party is going to be lame and side with the Wolfgang again. My theory is that's why Sandy's making a large party but will split them up into groups, so that everyone can choose for themselves who to side with. Edited April 16, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 It's the title. Everyone now sees "Dragonslayer" as "Pushover-slayer" so they want to be the heroes that are worth something! Would be funny if everything saw the Dragonslayers as a bunch of jerks for killing a weak dragon (for no reason as well ). My theory is that's why Sandy's making a large party but will splits them up into groups, so that everyone can choose for themselves who to side with. I thought to not have to make unbalanced battles. Aside from maybe a dire bear I can't see Skrall really transforming into anything if he went Beast Warrior, so no motivation there. Perhaps just a slightly hairier version of himself. Quote
Flipz Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 (edited) Ugh, I bet the party is going to be lame and side with the Wolfgang again. Not if Arthur's selected. Really hope he is, I want him to get to talk to Particia. Hopefully he'll impress her enough that he can fill in on the continuation to 40 if there's an absence in the original party. Also, it's a good thing I can't host my Quest until May (or in other words "whenever Quest 66 ends"), since pretty much everyone who's expressed interest in it is signed up for Q66 as well. CMP Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I don't think Patricia is capable of being impressed. Especially when it comes to heroes. Quote
Zepher Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I'll win her over. I don't know what side I'd side with, but I have a suspicion. I won't say now, though. Why spoil the surprise! Quote

Flipz Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) Is that big fat sheep from the Sheep Meadows picture an actual monster available in the area, or am I just thinking silly thoughts because I'm sleepy? Edited April 17, 2013 by Flipz Quote
CMP Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Is that big fat sheep from the Sheep Meadows picture an actual monster available in the area, or am I just thinking silly thoughts because I'm sleepy? That's the Battering Ram. It showed up in the first Sheep Meadow battle, but not this one. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 That's the Battering Ram. It showed up in the first Sheep Meadow battle, but not this one. Yeah, there are twelve sheep:Little Lamb Silent Lamb Fluffy Lamb Pristine Sheep Loud Sheep Black Sheep Chubby Ewe Prancing Ewe Christmas Ewe Horny Ram Battering Ram Old Ram No idea if Sandy made stats for all of them for Sheep Meadow. None of them were actually in the first battle in Quest 1; we just fought Direwolves the first time. Battering Ram's Stats: Battering Ram Type: Beast Level: 9 Health: 124/124 Special: Reckless Ram – Causes 18 damage and the stunned-effect regardless of row. Drops: Bone Quote

Sandy Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 Is Z-mail ever coming back? I don't have any plans of another Z-mail related event. The system itself lives on in the quests, though, especially the ones related to the Ziegfrieds. The last time I used it was in the Grogmas Gifts event as means to send gifts to heroes who were on a quest back then, so it has been incorporated as a part of the world of Heroica RPG now. Quote
