Pandora Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Agreed. Anyone know how to find that post by the way? The search function is your friend. Quote
JimBee Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Totally different function though, and very conditional use that. A way it could be used is that if given to someone with Flee, that person could essentially solo all battles. How so? You're usually not allowed to go back to a battle once you flee, so the item wouldn't work in a better capacity that way. Quote
The Legonater Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Spirit Leader Ethereal Level: 28 Health: 482/550 Special: Confusion – The spirit throws a bolt of energy at the hero, dealing the Jinxed effect. Drops: Spirit Robe – Renders wearer invisible for the first three rounds of battle so they do not take free hits, Health Core Is the Spirit Leader... Head Death? Quote

Flipz Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Is the Spirit Leader... Head Death? Nope. Head Death already exists in the Heroica universe...remember? Quote
Endgame Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 We're not in the triple digits of quests - can't go messing with the balance between life and death quite yet. Well, folks, if anybody could respond/talk to Sorrow, that'd be awesome. Quote
Chromeknight Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Crikey, I feel as though I've learnt more about Haldor in this one conversation with Nerwen than in the last six months of Heroica. That's how Nerwen works. It's one of the reasons I really hope Arthur can Quest with her. But, yes, Nerwen just seems to be the among the wisest (and definitely the most motherly) Hero in the hall. Always seems to have the answers to any philosophical question or conundrum, and more. I will always remember the speech she gave when she explained love to De'kra. It was beautiful. And no one else in Heroica could have done that, not even Arthur. Thanks for the Nerwen love guys, it's good to know stuff like that is remembered and appreciated. As is the case with pretty much everyone, there are bits of me that flow through into the character I play(write what you know!). And the philosophy stuff is one of those, since that's what I studied as an undergrad. For the record, Nerwen's speech about love derives in large part from CS Lewis' Four Loves, I don't claim any great credit. Also, I couldn't resist tweaking Scorpiox's nose about Haldor and Ameli. I'll leave it up to the reader to work out if Nerwen knows it was Haldor and is winding him up. Quote
Zepher Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Nerwen is wonderful. She is, and I've said this before, the only character I could see Boomingham ever starting a relationship with. I don't know why, but it just seems like it would fit (opposites attract, maybe?). Interestingly enough, Nyx, Nerwen, Haldor and Boomingham are all sitting at the same table right now... so he's probably over-hearing a fair amount of this conversation. Maybe we ought to open the talk to the whole group. Quote

Maybe we ought to open the talk to the whole group. Alexis is sitting there too, as I recall...though considering how she was completely oblivious to Nerwen trying to seduce her, I doubt she's heard much of this conversation, either. Quote
Flare Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Recommendation to quest 62 party - don't target the Earth Golem, and put Amorith first in the battle order. He won't get any damage from the free hit. Then you focus better on taking his owner down, Rubix. Once Rubix is defeated, the golem will also! You're welcome Quote

That makes the battle quite a bit easier. Quote

Flare Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Every battle Guts has fleed from, he got to go back to. And what about the ones you didn't flee from? What if you decided to flee in the battle between Reno and Nemo? There might not have been a battle to return to. Quote

Flipz Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Well, of course you can't come back into a battle with party members still fighting. I think what he's trying to say is, if the Heroes had fled from the Nemo-Reno battle, Nemo and Hestia would have died; there might not have been a battle to go back to, because the Heroes were what changed the tide and prevented a curb-stomp (theoretically). It's like the final battle of Dastan; if the Heroes had fled, there would be no way they could have come back to it later. OoC: Remember that alchemists can use one item per round without spending a turn. Also, there's some pretty nifty items they've created already. I think their plan is to let them create a bunch of items throughout the Quest and then confiscate them at the end. Quote

Flare Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) I have done two thirds of the sets for my quest!! I have around 9 left. Wow! What kind of quest are you planning? I only had 6 sets in my recent quest, thats all Compared to Quest #42, where I had around 14 sets, I think. Do I just use a small amount of sets? How many sets have other QMs used in their previous quests? Edited April 19, 2013 by Flare Quote

Basically, I only have one set, but I'm going to try and expand that for the meeting with Fleur. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
