Flipz Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Correct! I believe that I've also had Sorrow hum/whistle it on occasion. Though I prefer this version: I was first introduced to the song through the Adam Lambert rendition, as performed on General Hospital: I will always associate this song with James Franco because of this. Pyrovisionary Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 There are pirates in Duplovia. Funny thing really. My last Quest Idea was going to have something Just like this! Battle 1/4 (Hopefully) /Check Quote
Scorpiox Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Just what I was thinking! Although the version in Donnie Darko is better. Correct! I believe that I've also had Sorrow hum/whistle it on occasion. Though I prefer this version: Damn, should have known this would happen. For this reason, I shan't risk posting Bowie's The Man Who Sold The World, lest you exclaim your life-long love for Nirvana. Scorpiox Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I like Nirvana's version better. Throws grenade. Quote
Endgame Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 4. Partial Success: The ticking grenade lands soundly at Scubacarrot's feet. I don't listen to music much - almost never, so I can't offer a good opinion on this one. Also, Legonater - 1 page into your first quest and suddenly pirates. Awesome! Quote

Flipz Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Also, Legonater - 1 page into your first quest and suddenly pirates. Awesome! Should have gotten Mizuki. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Well you can't argue about taste, really. That said, I am not at all bashing Bowie, I listen to him as well, but for some reasons, many of his songs I like better as covers. (Star One's Space oddity, this one for example). Also, people need to get over their irrational hatred towards covers. Pro tip, if you're even remotely into Power Metal, listen to Northern Kings' two albums, your opinions on covers will be forever positive. Quote
Flipz Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 many of his songs I like better as covers. I feel the same way about Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I feel the same way about Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. I wouldn't know any artists that cover those two, and I don't listen to them, so I can't say. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) I still prefer the cover version of still alive Encrypted in this message is the answer to all of your musical problems. I'm only joking, I have no real aversion to musical opinions. That said, bashing Bowie should be made an act of international treason. Quote
Flipz Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) I wouldn't know any artists that cover those two, and I don't listen to them, so I can't say. Behold: The second cover will actually take on some storyline significance eventually. Edited April 19, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) To keep on the musical side of things, and a resurrection of the random question of the unspecified time period, what would your Character's Entrance Music be (in an over the top action flick)? I think for Guts it could be: Or: Going more for a feel and sound of the song than actual lyrics. snip Still not my cup of tea. Edited April 19, 2013 by Scubacarrot Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) I am afraid sarge gets an entire trailer. [/url]But If it must be a song. It's have to Be Black Math by the white stripes. Or Still Alive just for the lyrics. Edited April 19, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote

Still not my cup of tea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBmueYJ0VhA For this, I'm going for the lyrics, sound and feel of this song, plus the fact that it is literally about viking raiders coming west. Seriously, it's practically written for Haldor. Quote
Endgame Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Time to go completely over the top for no discernable reason! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaZGXHZ6ixI In any normal scenario where everything is not made out of Explodium, it probably would be Mad World. But hey, it is still pretty fitting in terms of lyrics (and the fact the singer is just an incredibly lost swordsman) Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) I am afraid sarge gets an entire trailer. While absolutely a cool song (and trailer, and game) I think this fits Sarge more, what do you think? For this, I'm going for the lyrics, sound and feel of this song, plus the fact that it is literally about viking raiders coming west. Seriously, it's practically written for Haldor. Great choice, I think. Edited April 19, 2013 by Scubacarrot Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) We have discussed this alot, But, If Heroica was a TV show, Who would play your Character? For me, It'd Have to be Billy Connolly. Edited April 19, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote

Flipz Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Costy, that is an awesome stat build for a starting Berserker, and great representation in the new picture as well. Well done! Quote
Endgame Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Agreed, Costy - you've been min-maxing right under our noses! Quote
