Zepher Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Sad to see a WBD quest leave without me on it. Looks like a great party though! Nerwen and Boomingham will have to quest together some other time, but it will happen one day! Quote
The Legonater Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Nerwen, Arthur, Tensi, Skrall, Dyric, Sorrow. Now THAT's a dynamic roleplaying party. Let's make it happen sometime. I'm in. Still need to get together that Fields Dream Team. Throw in Hybros or Dyric for assassination, Erdathcath for perma-Lucky Druid, Atramor for poisoning everyone, Cronk as Paladin/Minstrel for more tanking/support... I think Skrall has a slight edge on Xander right now among Hunters, to add a big Damage-dealer to the mix. I'm in. Quote
Scorpiox Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Out of interest, is anyone planning a short, relatively simple quest in the near future for someone of Haldor's level? Not that your quest doesn't look and promise to be exciting, Sandy, but I think that I need something easy as a come-down after Quest #53. Quote
Flipz Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Consumables are expensive...especially since Arthur refuses to roll a SHIELD while on Nostrum (or otherwise!)... Quote
Endgame Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) I honestly think they're a bit too cheap, but then again... Rogues are the wealthiest people in Eubric. Wonder how much gold Guffington has? Edited April 20, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Flare Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 To be honest with you people, I think Sandy chose fair prices for the items. So lets stop complaining Quote

I don't think you quite understand; my problem isn't with the actual prices of the consumables, it's my "I-never-seem-to-roll-a-SHIELD" issue. Speaking of Gold, whatever happened to Quests that offer it as a reward? I've only seen titles and reputation and experience lately. Edited April 20, 2013 by Flipz Quote

It's a lot of the reason I signed up for WBD's quest IC. OOC, I realize this is going to be another amazing WBD quest, so why not? Quote
Endgame Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I am doing a Stealer 2 Quest after 48, though I'm not sure how simple it is. You're not going to be gambling for the lives of many, but there are going to be wacky criminal hijinks on par with 56. Quote
Jebediahs Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Maybe if someone wasn't a dick Guts would not have gotten that Shard. *sighs* Because I didn't let the biggest brat in Heroica get his way? Besides, I cleared the shard thing with Xarrzan and he thought it'd be hilarious. The first time you're KO'd, you threaten to leave quest until the decision is reversed. You complained about slime man battle until Sandy complied with your wishes. You complained about a weapon drop ruining your hard earned effort of putting gold into your own weapon resulting in the drop being changed I guess you're just one of the blessed players that gets away with b.s. including name calling. Masked Builder Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 So, I know this has been discussed, what happens when I eat my shrooms? Do I go to level 30.5 or 30.75? Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Alrighty, Quest 65 is off and rolling. As this is a puzzle quest, if anyone outside the quest wants to solve the puzzles, PLEASE PM me as opposed to just posting the solution in this thread. Also, I didn't have the time or the best equipment for it this time round, but I promise one day this will happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ifdcKhg99s Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 No-one wants to see my quest? *Cough* *Cough* This photo, sadly shall never make it into my quest. But It does Have optional Hinckwell rep! Quote

Scorpiox Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I could spot one on the dark side of the moon if need be. Again, intentional? I hope it is, because this album can summarise so many dark things in Heroica now and previously. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy8iUI_ayuo No-one wants to see my quest? -snip- Of course I do! If it comes around soon, I shall definitely be signing up. Quote
Flipz Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I hope now because of the attention QMs don't start dropping high SP artifacts like candy. I know that's something Masked might do *cough* introducing second Loaded Die to the game *cough*cough* Gift wrapping a mythril shard for Guts*cough*Insane robe thankfully nerfed*cough*cough*. But if they must, at least keep them tailored for knights or non-rogue type front line melee. Or, you know, making things specific to specific characters. The unique Grogmas gifts are terribly imbalanced, except for one factor: the vast majority of them are in one way or another limited to the character they were given to. If Galen's Rubber Band were tradeable, it would be totally broken, it circumnavigates the whole point of throwing weapons versus ranged weapons. However, by making it soulbound to Galen, it changes from a game-breaker to an incomparable; instead of being a way to get around the limitations of the system, it becomes a "special ability" that makes Galen a unique tactical asset (i.e. for things like the Fields). Same thing goes for De'kra with his mask, or Thothwick with his Banana Saber. Nagure's fur coat is the most basic and thus "break-y" of the items, but it IS soulbound, and I feel it's justified. Nagure seems to go unnoticed by a lot of us (myself included, I'm ashamed to admit)--everyone looked at the Lens of Speed-Reading and went "Yep, that's something for Arthur", and people looked at the Tome of Affluence and said, "Welp, that's Boomingham's right there." However, nobody looks at an item and says, "you know, I think that thing would work well for Nagure"--or at least, not until now. While I'm sure some amount of random selection was involved, I think Sandy was sensitive to pick up on that and say, "Hey, this guy has consistently and dutifully contributed quite a bit to this game in terms of effort, but he doesn't seem to have much to show for it. I should make sure his gift is really nice." Now, not everything should be unique or soulbound (especially directly soulbound--that's best left to special events by Sandy), but incomparables is far preferable to direct power creep. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) Looks great Skyrimguy, lighting can really make a picture. WBD, the stopmotion is cool, but I bet even that took a LOT of time? Edited April 20, 2013 by Scubacarrot Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) I'm afraid that's the best shot of the quest. And I can't even use it! Once I get one more thing done, I shall pitch it to Sandy. Alot Of my sets reflect the flash, and I can't dissable it. Edited April 20, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 So, I know this has been discussed, what happens when I eat my shrooms? Do I go to level 30.5 or 30.75? From Level 29.67, you get 3 XP, which takes you to Level 30.5. Quote
CMP Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 So we've gone from rampant consumable addiction to selling 'shrooms? What is Heroica coming to? From Level 29.67, you get 3 XP, which takes you to Level 30.5. Level-Up Mushroom grant full levels, though. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 So we've gone from rampant consumable addiction to selling 'shrooms? What is Heroica coming to? And they still call us heroes. Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 From Level 29.67, you get 3 XP, which takes you to Level 30.5. So that'd be rounded down. Thanks. Sandy you should add this to the FAQ. So we've gone from rampant consumable addiction to selling 'shrooms? What is Heroica coming to? The fun side. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Looks great Skyrimguy, lightning can really make a picture. WBD, the stopmotion is cool, but I bet even that took a LOT of time? 40 Shots with about an average of 20 seconds between shots so ~ 15 minutes for 7 seconds of footage and that's just a rough cut. Smoother animation would probably take twice as many photos and a longer setup time between shots. Quote
