Scubacarrot Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I try to regulate Atramor's homicidal tendencies towards the enemies. Most of the time. You know, I think we just gave Masked a bunch of tips on how to kill us. Quote
Endgame Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 It'll make him look like an idiot the next time Alexandre rolls a Shield and his angel comes back, but for now, yeah. Maybe the Angel could bust out of his stomach? Resistant thing, it has been swatted, electrocuted, impaled, curshed, tortured, incinerated, steamrolled, and devoured by Hatred incarnate. Quote
Endgame Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Cool party for Quest 66, by the way. Agreed. Also, that footnote about Carly Swift in the Hall... so glad I caught that! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Maybe the Angel could bust out of his stomach? Bonus damage! Quote
Endgame Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Maybe all of its kicking around just gives Perfect Regret a bit of indigestion, preventing him from attacking for a round. Quote
Flipz Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Maybe all of its kicking around just gives Perfect Regret a bit of indigestion, preventing him from attacking for a round. ...that's hilarious. Finally I can reveal this! Now I don't have to worry about people approaching Arthur when he wasn't even in the Hall yet! Quote
Sandy Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 Cool party for Quest 66, by the way. It was really hard to make the choice, though, with that many spots. I apologize to those few I had to leave behind, there was nothing personal involved, just a matter of getting three balanced teams of three. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Finally I can reveal this! Now I don't have to worry about people approaching Arthur when he wasn't even in the Hall yet! Interesting! But... If Arthur is in employment of Patricia, why would she pay him for a job through Heroica? I assume she could just call on him to do his duty and pay him minimum wage or something. Quote
Flipz Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Well, it IS a non-Gold reward... Plus, I imagine Bert interceded a bit; he's the more level-headed of the two who got the story out of Arthur, and the one least likely to blame him for something that wasn't directly his fault. In any event, Arthur finally has a residence outside of the Hall...even if it is just a bunk at the Barracks. Quote
Zepher Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 We shall see. So posades, how hard of a quest do you want? I've heard of enemies favoring certain classes, but I don't think anyone's ever given it a try. Jebs has actually implemented this in a quest before (someone did extra damage to Witches) but it didn't have any effect since there was no witch in the party. I actually kind of like the idea, and will probably use it some time! It's just important to put it in during PRE-PLANNING and then not pick the party based on it. God I wish I had Boomingham's confidence with women. Me too. But in all seriousness, his philosophy for life is (in some ways) one I'd like to follow, and try to! For Boomingham, there ain't nowhere to go but up, and I love that idea. Misplaced confidence? Yes, well, when you played Patricia she wasn't too taken with him, but now Sandy gets to play her, so perhaps she'll have a different reaction. It really is my goal to change her opinion of Boomingham - he makes terrible first impressions, but he's an alright guy, and I could see them getting along. Was he using one of those bombs? If so, that doesn't count. I don't read through battles, most of the time, and I must admit to not following/reading 53 that closely. It'll make him look like an idiot the next time Alexandre rolls a Shield and his angel comes back, but for now, yeah. I'm happy we're discussing this! I was going to comment, to both CJP and Endgame, I have had Barty mention that Angels can die in extreme circumstances, so... just something to consider. Cool party for Quest 66, by the way. Very excited! It will be interesting to see how we're divided too! Thothwick, Arthur, I think this will be the first time I quest with either of you, and I'm very excited... and Nyx and Boomers are back together, so that should be fun! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I look forward to a lot of: "Don't you have a doorway to guard?" Quote

Endgame Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I'm actually trying to set up CJP's descent into black knight - killing off his spiritual companion is a very good start, I just hope he stays dead this time. I believe Sandy said we're divided by levels, so guessing we'll be divided by: -Kiray -Grimwald -Arnulf -Nagure -Sorrow -Arthur -Boomingham -Thothwick -Nyx Quote

Maybe Boomingham can finally smack some sense into Arthur. CJP HAS stated he wants to go Black Knight... Indeed! I'm looking forward to getting to Quest with Boomers and Sorrow, and hopefully not ignoring poor Thothwick this time around. Arthur doesn't need any sense smacked into him, Haldor managed that already. He just needs someone to point out that he's overcompensating. Perhaps she's a married woman, you don't know that! You rogue you, Larry. To who, Guts? I honestly can't picture Patricia as married, she strikes me as slightly misandristic. CMP Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Yeah, that's what I figure, too. Excellent, my team has three strong strategists... I was going to say you guys are in trouble without a healer, but Nagure has so much SP it doesn't even matter. Quote
Endgame Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I'm only good at strategizing killing heroes. Also, waiting for that moment where Sorrow can yell "Guards, guards! We got an escapee!" He probably won't do that, but he is going to be a bit... iffy on Arthur until he atleast comes clean on parts of it. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 To who, Guts? I honestly can't picture Patricia as married, she strikes me as slightly misandristic. Of course not Guts. Perhaps she's married to that guy with the mustache, I don't know. I think she's more of a carreer woman, than misandristic. Perhaps she once had a family, but lost it, and that's why she's so stern? Perhaps her family is who she's trying to protect. I don't know, I haven't given it any thought. I guess we'll see! Quote

There's obviously something between them, given the way she talks to him in Guts' original intro. Maybe they had a thing together way back in the day? Who knows? Apparently not you. She did seem warmer towards Alexis and Nyx, but maybe that's just me. Edited April 21, 2013 by Flipz Quote

I have no easy way to go back, I am afraid. Something about Guts being special. I think I thought up that Patricia forced Guts into Heroica because he kept escaping from prison, I think she just dislikes Boomingham. Quote
Shoker86 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Great party for quest 66, I hope it would be great quest, with opportunities for further character development. Quote
Endgame Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 We do. Arthur has a Healing Staff. Two, actually. Welp, we're doomed. We'll be too busy figuring out how the thing works on a daily basis to actually use the blasted thing. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Guts I think respects her, because she managed to capture him. (he was sleeping.) Patricia I imagine did not want to kill him. I don't know why, she wouldn't. But it is my character, so there. She couldn't keep him locked up, so she might as well make use of him. Again, I'd have to go back to be sure. Quote
Zepher Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I think she just dislikes Boomingham. As do most Scuba characters, I think. Quote
