Scubacarrot Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Oh, and in regards to switching weapons after your Turn because it doesn't take a Turn, I would say that it doesn't take a Turn to switch weapons before you attack because you can do both in one swift action while attacking. Like drawing a sword and slashing with it in the same motion, or whipping an arrow out of a quiver and drawing it back with the bowstring and firing in the same 'C'-shaped motion. You can do that and attack at the same time because the weapons switching is a part of the attack during your Turn. You can't do that after your Turn(s) is/are over because you have no Turns left during which to perform an action which the weapons switching can be a part of. Yeah but you're just unneccasarily complicating stuff now. I think there is like one weapon with SP (Questionmark?). A QM can deal with it, do what he wants, it's all good. Doesn't mean QM's should make more. (yes I realize, you'd love a weapon with SP on it) I'm thinking Nikolaus will be a weresnake . I think he's a werewolf... Quote
Flipz Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 This Steerpike sounds like a reasonable guy to me. EDIT: Snarky comment removed. I need to let it go. Thanks for more Mercutio info, Sandy! I really am putting a lot of work into figuring out the practicalities of Mercutio and his religion. For example: You know, if he wants more followers, all he needs to do is make gold rain from the sky over his shrine once in a while. That goes against Mercutio's principles. As I see it, he's more than happy to help people make money, but they have to make some on their own already; sort of "the gods help those who help themselves" kind of morality. To Mercutio, it's more about the way you live your life (being clever and cunning and using your skills for gain) than about how MUCH money you make--he'll reward you for effort, but he won't make the effort for you. ...I've got a LOT of back-notes on this stuff. Scubacarrot Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I don't think the Gods really have personalities, just what people see them as. Zepher, are Guts' dancing shoes the type that make clinking noises as you walk? Quote
Flipz Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 OOH! I just realized that Valentine might be present. Arthur might not meet her in-person (which is perfect), but she might be meeting people who do... This will be interesting to watch...after all, she DOES know Arthur's her son and that he's in Heroica, and despite what Arthur thinks, she DOES care about him... ...no, bad Flipz! No hijacking! By the way, I think I'm in love with Quest 66. Me too. :drool_wub: I'm loving the team I get to lead. RE: the "sp on weapons" debate: why can't we just use the ruling Sandy already made for the Pheles Rod? The same logic applies. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Yeah but you're just unneccasarily complicating stuff now. This is a sort of tabletop RPG. There's no such thing as an unnecessarily complicated explanation to justify the existence of a good piece of equipment. Quote

I, personally, see Guts as doing one of those Russian-esque twirling dances, so if he gets enough Dance turns he basically ends up doing Spinjitsu. Edited April 26, 2013 by Flipz Quote

CMP Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Am I the only one who feels this whole scenario in 66 is just build up for Ulric to crash the ball? First rule of big storylines: minibosses first. Though that would be pretty cool. I half expect Violetta and Donny to be there too. One Wolfgang leader for each miniparty. Quote

I see it more as him moving pretty gracefully (for an old man), and quick. Not spinning around making himself dizzy for no reason. If I had to assign him a style, which I must point out I know nothing about dancing, I would say it'd more like a less breakdancy form of Kapoeira, or something Quote

Scubacarrot Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Also, keep in mind that the dancing shoes have the added effect of making him good at dancing. So if for any reason there is ever a dance-battle, we're good. Quote

Flipz Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Wait, when did I miss the part where Arthur's Valentine's son? End of Quest 38. Arthur doesn't know, but Valentine has a chat with Arthur's mother in the past where she spells (no pun intended) it all out. Quote
