Scubacarrot Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I'm almost certain that Guts holds the record for the most earned in one attack. (Slime battle, Guffington) Probably, yes. But that was B.N. (Before Nerf). So you really can´t compare. Most in one battle I most likely hold too. For now, as long as I´m making more money than it costs for the consumables, it´s fine. Quote
Flipz Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) Hehe, liking Serevan so far. Let's see if Arthur can take the high road like he wants to... EDIT: ...aaaaand the paranoia sets in. OK. So it's definitely a Party Leader thing, then. Edited April 27, 2013 by Flipz Quote
JimBee Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Guts really doesn´t have that status anymore. Multiple people have owned more gold than he ever has. e.g. Alexis, Dyric, Hybros... Probably more. I think Galen (Fugazi) holds the record with almost 5000 gold. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Well, I get and use gold as is. Just had a bit of a shop right now! Quote
Endgame Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Wow, you guys just dropped a third of Perfect Regret's HP - and the Phantoms aren't going to hang on much longer! Quote
The Legonater Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I think I've sufficiently beefed up my enemies. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 It's not about making the most money, it's about making money in a short amount of time. Tarn has never been well off, and walking into that pagoda with no consumables was incredibly stupid and certainly blunted his effectiveness. Quote

For non-rogue classes, which form the majority, we have to make the decision between upgrading equipment and consumables. I've always been more of an upgrade guy. Quote

I always think that it would be prudent to buy a couple buffing consumables and restock on Grand Potions, but then I don't usually have a lot of Gold and tell myself that I can stay alive long enough to make do with whatever I pick up in quests. Waterbrick Down Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 This is why we have/need support classes. Quote

Just ask your QM for four NPC Alchemists, you'll never need to burn a consumable again. Dannylonglegs Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 No, it doesn't. Ah, thanks. Still, odds are in my favor. And we're not going to get anywhere fast with all that SP, so It's my duty to mess that up for him. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I forget, does luck effect a cleric's 50-50% chance not to get hit by an enemy's special? ~Insectoid Aristocrat No, Lucky only affects the battle die rolls. All other "chance of x" rolls aren't affected. Quote

Tarn always went the upgrade route too. Don't make me feel bad about keeping the mask now that it's been incorporated into Tarn's new look Quote
Brickington Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 What move can Sir Brickington do when he's confused? Can I attack? Quote
Flipz Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 That's why I wanted the mask. For non-rogue classes, which form the majority, we have to make the decision between upgrading equipment and consumables. I've always been more of an upgrade guy. Not just non-Rogues. As a Mage-Rogue, I have to decide whether to rely on spells and consumables (especially the Ether-restoring consumables, which can get VERY expensive very quickly) or if I want to go for more gear (until I use my Plaything, there's no real incentive for me to upgrade what I've got) to expand my abilities. I think I've gotten myself into a decent balance, especially with some of my back-room deals. I'm hoping I can get about two to three grand on this Quest, that'll be enough to complete several of my deals while still giving me enough to buy more consumables AND put down enough cash to make Cinna reconsider keeping that Scroll. What move can Sir Brickington do when he's confused? Can I attack? You can attack, there's just a 50-50 chance you'll attack one of your allies instead. It's better for your party if you just do nothing, actually. Quote

And one can only wonder why the rest of us don't hate rogue classes more... I don't think I've even made that much gold between all my gear and quest rewards combined in my entire playing career. Galen's gold during final boss of 48: 4679 gold. Edited April 27, 2013 by Endgame Quote

I also have bad luck with SHIELDs, so I end up poorer than most of the AC Rogues. Also note that BECAUSE I'm a rogue-class, people tend to charge me more, because they assume I can pay. Quote
The Legonater Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 What move can Sir Brickington do when he's confused? Can I attack? You can still attack, there's just a chance that your move may strike a hero instead of the enemy. Quote
