Brickdoctor Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Galen's gold at beginning of 48: 127 gold. Galen's gold during final boss of 48: 4679 gold. When you're on a quest with three bosses and 120+ pages of mostly battles, you have lots of chances to earn Gold. Quote

TheBoyWonder Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I've bought a ton of things this quest, as well as many enchants, and I'm still on 1100ish gold. Quote

Endgame Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 He could get to 32 WP on the Murkwood Thread with that. He'd do the Goblin's Wrench, due to it's ranged nature - and I know he is planning on permanently imbuing Crumbling Venom (900 gold.) A WP: 29 ranged weapon that doesn't need to be retrived and has some rather deadly poison permanently imbued onto it... Woah. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 True, but I have to drop at least a quarter of that on Tonics. I also have bad luck with SHIELDs, so I end up poorer than most of the AC Rogues. Also note that BECAUSE I'm a rogue-class, people tend to charge me more, because they assume I can pay. Which you can. Quote
Flipz Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Which you can. What part of "I never roll SHIELDs" don't you understand? Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 What part of "I never roll SHIELDs" don't you understand? Just give it a quest or two and you'll be rolling in the dough, or just invest in Nostrums to speed up the process. Skrall does not believe in such a thing as a poor rogue. Quote

Endgame Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I suppose 2,000+ HP maniacs aren't common in Heroica, But I'm willing to bet by the time we reach Master Classes bosses are going to be well over 5,000. Quote
Fugazi Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Galen's gold at beginning of 48: 127 gold. Galen's gold during final boss of 48: 4679 gold. And this despite the extortionate prices in your Town Hall market! When you're on a quest with three bosses and 120+ pages of mostly battles, you have lots of chances to earn Gold. True, but divide 4500 gold by what... 180 real-life days of questing... the gold/time ratio is probably similar to that of other rogues. On the other hand, extended battles like Dini Manor help in that I can make money using fewer consumables, as long as I can hold onto the effects. In later battles Endgame made sure that the effects could be lost more easily! Woah. I think we haggled and brought the price down to 850. Waste not want not! 30x3=90+20=110+6=116x2=232 damage on a Mug, so atleast 200 gold per shield roll plus a ton of damage... Dear GOD, what monster have I created?! But I was planning to train for an advanced class. Counting Rhodus, The Bleeding, The Wound, Aquos, the Suffering, Eidolon, and the Regret? Quote

Endgame Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 When you're on a quest with three 4 bosses and 120+ pages of mostly battles, you have lots of chances to earn Gold. Fixed. Hey, I did try to put some sort of puzzle, scenario, or conversation between each battle. Besdies, I love to use battles as means of development - the heat of battle really brings out the true shades of somebdoy, and gradually losing to somebody they consider to be inferior brings it out. (Rhodus's insanity, Eidolon's anger, etc.) I still love Aquos's afterbattle, simply because all of the awesome RP. Quote

Endgame Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) Actually, I think Q48 has Q4 beat for length at this point... Q4 was 48 pages. We are almost triple. Edited April 27, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Q4 was 48 pages. We are almost triple. Yeah, Quest 48 passed Quest 4 a long time ago. Quest 17 was longer than Quest 4, by the way. (And if the Dastan final battle's pages are added, Quest 31 was longer than Quest 17) Quest 48 is far and away the longest though. It can get confusing because we're used to thinking of Quests 17 and 31 as almost a hundred pages long, but there was the board upgrade after that that changed the default amount of posts per page from 15 to 25. That makes the length of this topic even more alarming. Honestly, 926 pages... it's got to be one of the biggest on Eurobricks. I confess that I've contributed a fair amount to that. Quote
