I challenge anyone to look at that plot summary and not have a similar reaction.

I was talking about the youtube clip but.........you should watch your wording. Not having a similar reaction would mean that you never realised the entire 62 plot. I'm in the darn thing and I'm still tripping over myself on the plot. Not very challenging to complete. Summary aside the plot is kind of simple. Someone wants gold. Prepares to cheat two of the largest factions in Eubric.

Exactly. A winner is you!

The base story is simple; however the constant deception made things a bit more confusing. First Craw-free was a beggar, then he was part of the plot. First the Po-Brothers worked for the Mafia, then the Church. First the church accountant was just an accountant, then he was the mastermind behind the entire plot, and not a he, and not named Abe. There's even rats that are cats and newts that are rather embarrassed heroes, nothing is as it seems on that quest.

And then we find that the Hinkwells were behind it all.

I have a strange feeling I am giving too much material for my QM to work with. :sceptic:

Holy crap. With that amulet, Tensi will be dishing out 16x damage to enemies weak to Fire, for a minimum of 800 damage against foes weak to Fire... :look:

Forgot to comment on this.

Yes, the deception was abundant, but not always unavoidable though. Most known liars are not truthful... Particularly if they lie about being liars, which is what Marty did rather clearly while dying. What part of "I always tell the truth and I always obey my clients' wishes" is not a lie?... Did he do any of that? If the Party had asked almost anybody but Marty who the Po Brothers were (I almost had the Banker name-drop them when talking about the Church's persecution of Mercutio worshipers. They're relatively infamous, after-all. He did mention that it was a pair of underworld agents, but he didn't think that the party needed to know their names.), then the party would have been given the truth, and a Final Boss Preview later, or even a chance to completely ruin the plot before it even took flight if they simply sat around the market waiting for Fleur after nabbing the Po Brothers. The Po Brothers are actually some of the most honest villains the Party encountered... They're a tiny bit styled after Captain Jack Sparrow, among others, a man known for his dishonesty... or was it honesty.

Also, I tried to hint that Craw Fee (man am I inconsistent with how I type that.) was a spy for Marty, and I think the Party got it... And Law of Conservation of Detail means that the Accountant had to be important somehow (especially because the party got little to nothing out of it, but I said I planed it...) And I think I pulled off that gender reveal rather well, thank you. I was afraid it would be too obvious considering I never referred to her with a pronoun in the narration.

And the cat/rat thing was just a fun way to set up the guardian challenge.

And the Newts were just hilarious.

I've just been re-reading through Quest 51 (gosh, and I thought I was properly paranoid THEN...Pie could have screwed us six ways to Sunday with the recklessness we showed! ), but something's bugging me...

Whatever happened to the Explosive Handcannon? I know De'kra posted a message in the Marketplace saying he wanted to sell it, but I never saw any offer accepted, either there OR in the Hall...and I dug through a full three months' worth of posts. As far as I can tell, De'kra still has it...which, hilariously, means he could have lent it to Mizuki and made that Lava Golem battle MUCH shorter.

There was an Explosive Handcannon ?

8004591902_75c6de0e06_t.jpgExplosive Handcannon - (WP: 8, double WP to rock monsters, handcannon, suitable for rangers and cannoneers)

From the first battle of quest 51.

And apparently still in De'kra's possession.

That you did, you just forgot to beef up the loot as well... I am sure Sarge would agree with me, right Skyrimguy?

I agree completely. I need to earn 250 gold to buy Thalion's shard off of him, and try and get either brickington's or Alexander's. Then I have to buy my Black Knight Advanced class gear (Black knight's armour). So It'll cost me around 700 gold. 200 of which is my rewards and the rest of which I was hoping to get from shields. :ugh: But with my luck I may have to get from loot.

30x3=90+20=110+6=116x2=232 damage on a Mug, so atleast 200 gold per shield roll plus a ton of damage...

Dear GOD, what monster have I created?!

I get 192 gold per shield. If I ever get a shield roll.

Yeah, but I am saving the artifact slot for Barbarian's Boots as soon as I get to 30. Having sad that, if he negotiated well I might be convinced to take it up.

You want it Zakura? The only class changes I have planned are to alternate between Chi Monk and Winged Warrior, so t won't do me much good. I actually tried to sell it, but no one noticed.

Too much good loot appears in quests nowadays.......

'Tis true. I believe that the Fields is one of the best quests, in that regard. When there are notable drops, it's gold and consumables most of the time. Occasionally there's a solid-but-nothing-amazing piece of equipment. Some cheap vendor-stocked artifacts and gems. I think the Dragon Lance is the only top-shelf item we've seen come out of the Fields so far, and rightfully so--it came from a boss (and required at least, what, six? battles to have the chance at acquiring). I would have really liked to have checked out one of the later locations just to get a taste for the loot there, but hey, that's what the teleportapple's for.

I know that not every fight will be composed of a bunch of nameless guards, and that's fine. But not every special enemy with a name has to drop some unique loot.

I'll never stress it enough--gold and consumables are truly the best loot, because they keep the unique loot just that -- unique.

I sure hope we can stock up on consumables in Duplovia! I used my last Grand potion.

You haven't been enough foresight  Maybe Legonater has prepared a stop in a market for some shopping :innocent2:

Looking forward to this quest, DannyLongLegs! :sweet:

Wrong QM?

Do other QMs prepare posts in Word (such as the opening or battles) beforehand? I just write it out as it is reached.

I've never hosted a quest with so many high levels! Enemies will be hard, the heroes will go..... extinct! :devil_laugh:

Endgame, I don't. Word does not keep the formatting or something of EB posts, so whenever you copy and paste, you have to edit stuff again.

Yes, you've taught me that one... twice, now?

Woah, then you are a really fast typist. I've never seen anyone prepare a quest thread so fast.
