Darth Nihilus Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 How would anyone find out? And as it seemed, they attacked Dak first. Well...actually, I have no answer to that one. The Sand Queen or Byblos, I suppose. And yes, they attacked Dak first, but he still was pretty brutal. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I can't believe I've made it this long without anyone scolding me for the senseless murder of 3 orcs in the Hall topic. Seriously, if Schazerhade or Cronk find out, Dak is dead. Was that from that orc war march in the forest when we first started playing the game? Shhh, we just pretend those things never happened. Sandy Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 She gave Guts a vague prophesy that didn't come true, and also one to Nerwen that didn't(which is my fault that it didn't probably. ). She actually didn't say what would happen, she warned of the possible futures that might happen if certain requirements were fulfilled. That's how her prophecies work in general - they're not inevitable. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Legonater... You could... Alter the rolls.... So we don't roll special damage for one round? Quote
Sandy Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 It is my understanding that those quests which ended with heroes siding with the wolfgang, was not general knowledge. Exactly. Captain Patricia isn't miffed at the heroes for siding with Wolfgang, she only knows they failed to capture the leaders and that's why she doesn't trust them to do their job. She might have suspicions of the reason they failed, though... Quote

Flipz Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) Arnulf whispered to Kiray "Watch their facial expressions, their body movement, you could sense lies that way, we have to be carefull, I can't ask too many questions so watch carefully" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chYSAUN0A6A Apollo Justice much? The funny thing is, I'm actually working out ways that this could (possibly) be a mechanic in a future Quest of mine (I've already worked out use of the Magatama, and it may have a cameo appearance in this Quest depending on player actions and further Quest revisions as I streamline the process). EDIT: Shoot, thought that would merge. Sorry. Edited April 29, 2013 by Flipz Quote

That's how her prophecies work in general - they're not inevitable. Oh okay, but Guts interpretated it otherwise. He hasn't got a very good impression of the Veterans in general, I think, even though he met them all. And except the Copper Fox, it´s still hard to say what they actually do. Apollo Justice much? Or real life? Quote

She might have suspicions of the reason they failed, though... Quest 33 in particular, I imagine, seeing as they bombed her and flew away, and were chased.... Everyone stand back in shock. Boomingham is drinking, and doing his job. Bam. You thought I was asking for a drink for no reason, Sandy. Quote

I like to think there's some sort of giant room above the Hall with the charade that it's where they're actively trying to fix the world, but it's actually a lounge where they kick back with martinis and spend most of their time playing poker as the heroes run around actually doing stuff. Shoker86 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) Yeah that's the idea. We have to use psychology, we don't have that much space to question. Would love to see a quest like that Flipz. Flipz Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Or real life? I like Apollo Justice better. Yeah, I know it's a real technique. The way it was worded just made me think of AJ's Percieve ability. Quote

Yeah I really liked that game, I like the whole Ace Attorney series. Damn you capcom, localize the rest of em! I think we talked about the Ace Attorney series before and how a case like that game would work as a quest. Would love to see you do it. Probably. They seem mostly to have their own stuff going on. Hestia with the Bonapartes (although she does limit the heroes tendencies to die), Kulkulkan with his Orcs, Sand Queen with making prophecies and being a priestess and all that, Dragonlord... I don´t know, Dragoon stuff, I guess. And the Norn (forgot her name) mentioned she´s going on her own quests to help the other norn. Quote

He's probably most like Pie's interpretation. Quote
CMP Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Yeah, the Golden Dragon seems like kind of a dick. Golden Dragon was one of the original Veterans, I assume you mean the Dragonlord. And can you blame him? The one time we saw him it was because over a dozen heroes broke into his house and killed his imported spiders. Quote

Scorpiox Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) "Thank you, I'll try to make good use of it and not break it in the process." Jeaux replied while accepting the hand-cannon Jeaux turned to the apparent expert on these lizards, "Yes could we get some more information about the animals we'll be facing. What kind of range can they achieve with their phlegm projectiles? What kind of metabolism do they have? What's their growth rate? Any information you can provide may help us in apprehending them safely." Jurassic Park ahoy! To be fair, Arthur is buddies with Byblos, and it is in-character for him to pry into those things. To be honest, I find some of this knowledge a bit dubious. For example, Arthur seemed to know everything about Quest #28, even the things that there are no logical reason to record (I.E. The vampire battle, the fact that Bluehood revealed his intentions). I doubt that any of the party would have told Byblos this, so I can't see how Arthur would know. That's why I'm glad that Arthur's changed quite a lot, he used to be infuriatingly omniscient. In character/out of character knowledge... I'm also painfully aware of the fact that I've made two blatant errors so far this quest. Edited April 29, 2013 by Scorpiox Quote

Not everything, mind you, but a LOT more than the vague summaries you're describing. Quote

I stand by my claim that Byblos knows a LOT about what goes on in Quests. Not everything, mind you, but a LOT more than the vague summaries you're describing. I'd argue against that. Byblos only knows what is told him and most of the quest parties I assume are very mum on some of the details of certain quests. Quote

Not everything, mind you, but a LOT more than the vague summaries you're describing. Never worked in a theatre department, don't have that problem. I also stand by mine that there are somethings that Byblos cannot realistically know. The key details and events, obviously, but no-one would write down that Haldor refused to fight some blood-suckers in an alleyway, and then spread it to the heroes. In any case, I consider it poor roleplay to simply have the librarian 'tell you everything' too. Quote
Zepher Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Come on, Zepher, get that NPC Index updated so I don't have to explain this over and over again each time! It is my first summer project. I need to finish finals first, but Mid-May, it will get itself caught up! I think I will have to reformat the first post... again, because its getting close to too many hyperlinks, and so will crash if I keep it up. I have thought up a solution, but again, it will take some time to do. I hate dedicating a whole day to Heroica (not that I don't love the game, but I hate dedicating a whole day to ANYTHING), but I think I'll have to do so in early May and get the whole Index up to snuff.
