Dannylonglegs Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Which QM can make this item?: Amontillado Wine: Can be put in a blade to cause the sudden death effect on the next attack. As the self-proclaimed resident Poe-referencer, I volunteer! Although it may be a consumable doom applier. I call dibs anyways. Not to give anything away, but two Noble Houses in Brendenton that may feature in later Quests are styled after the two characters in that short story... Which is actually why I brought it up in the first place. It was on my mind. Also the Mage-Guild's Head is the Escher Family, and belonging to the House of Escher means you are a respectable Mage in Brendenton. Not only a Poe reference, but hey, the more you know. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 1, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Heroes getting stuck in infinite staircases, falling onto the ceiling, meeting an infinite number of clones that all fit together like a jigsaw. Amontillado Wine: seals the user (behind a wall of bricks). Quote

Amontillado Wine: seals the user (behind a wall of bricks). I assure you, your dragons are safe in the House of the Undying Escher. Honestly, if anyone wants to make that a quest, they can help flesh-out Brendenton too. (You could call it Fall of the House of Escher!!! ) I have very few notes on all the factions in the city that didn't play an important part in my quest, and I only have a few unfinished plans. It should be noted though, that until the conclusion of this Quest, Brendenton has not really cared for foreign mercenaries. That may change when the factions notice the actions of the Heroes. I also have no plans for earnable reputations as-per the Houses of Eubric. If someone wants to run a Quest with the Eschers, they could be colleagues, friends, or even distant relatives of the Zeigfrieds. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 1, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
JimBee Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hmm, I've just realized how much WBD's avatar, this character, and that face print, wherever it's from, look strikingly similar to (click at your own risk - nothing terrible but to those of you who don't know, very creepy). Which is why I'm getting a very creepy vibe in Quest 65 from the character, expecting her to ask for rusty swords or something. On another note, on account of Doc's many references, I've started reading Darths and Droids. Very entertaining comic, now we need a Scroll of Summon Bigger Fish. Quote
Flare Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 About the species - you mentiomed that Riley was a werebat, but actually he is not. Both Riley and Haman are batmen, for future reference, because I am planning on using his species again. They are defunitely not werepeople. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 You're all too considerate, Boomingham would have just kicked the door in, no questions asked. Manners are what separate Orcs from animals. Like Boomigham. Seriously, though, we were polite and the QM rewarded us. With tea! Hooray! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 On another note, on account of Doc's many references, I've started reading Darths and Droids. Very entertaining comic, now we need a Scroll of Summon Bigger Fish. I tried to get Legonater to play a Mage and try to cast Summon Bigger Fish way back when Heroica first started, but he didn't do it. Mechanically I think it could work, a Mage with an Aquamarine killing enemies by dropping fish on them, and then progressing to Evoker with the Bigger Fish as his only summon. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 On that note, it's been a while since I've gone back and read The Phantasmal Malevolence, Darths & Droids Episode I, and I only just realized that the U'Kin were a missed opportunity to introduce Phanastacorians to Heroica. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen one of the evokers with a bigger fish summon, though the demonic ice cube tray is pretty awesome. Quote

As am I, considering that it was suggested...on the first day of Heroica, it looks like. I would do it with my second character, but I already have plans for that one. If an Evoker does Summon Bigger Fish, we should also create the Cheddar Monk Expert Class just for him. Quote
Zepher Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 WBD is just showing off how clever and well read he is. I think I can figure out most of them. I hope you know you'll be obligated to explain every one of those puns at the end of the quest, though. Quote
Flipz Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Psst. Just grab the Fifty Shades of Bley and the Lamp of Summoning and run. Quote

Which is why I'm getting a very creepy vibe in Quest 65 from the character, expecting her to ask for rusty swords or something. Now you've pointed that out, I'm even more disturbed. That series starts off rather humorous and light-hearted, but grows increasingly unnerving until the later episodes turn out downright scary. It's fun to discuss theories however. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hmm, or someone could make a Beast Master class, where you control a few animals in battle. Thus tha ability to Summon Bigger Fish would work Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hmm, or someone could make a Beast Master class, where you control a few animals in battle. Thus tha ability to Summon Bigger Fish would work You don't necessarily need to control the fish; the canon scenes of the comic do depict the 'fishes' eating each other, but on land, the (deleted) scene of Qui-Gon casting Summon Bigger Fish in the Theed Palace just involves crushing battle droids by dropping a fish on them. (And Evokers can already control what they summon if they so choose, what their summons look like, and to some extent what their summons do. But Cheddar Monk is a better fit considering that the entire reason we want to do this is because of Darths & Droids.) Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Yeah.... I know. I just really want a Beast Master class. For reasons similar to the Doom Scroll and Anti-Doom armour and the whole Paragon of Doom idea I had a few pages back Quote
Sandy Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 I know, as I said, I'm guilty too, but I'd love to see us expand on those before we go any further with other races! Oh, pish-posh! I disagree with you, we don't have to know everything about every race, or limit our imaginations. I just love toying around with my minifig collection and combine them as new, exciting characters. A few eccentric cameo characters never hurt anyone. I consent that it hurts the consistency of this game world, but I actually want to keep it as open as possible. Not just race-wise, either. Everyone remembers my pirate-robot-airship quest, don't they? This game is based on LEGO, so why not enjoy the unlimited possibilities it offers? I promise to try not to go overboard too often...
