The Legonater Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I tried to get Legonater to play a Mage and try to cast Summon Bigger Fish way back when Heroica first started, but he didn't do it. Mechanically I think it could work, a Mage with an Aquamarine killing enemies by dropping fish on them, and then progressing to Evoker with the Bigger Fish as his only summon. I've always preferred the non-magic classes. Don't ask me why, because I don't know. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 You forgot pirate. Pirate's are a race too! They have minus 1 leg and a parrot grows off of their shoulder. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Has anyone got any plans for people who worship Sylvania? Has anyone had anything like that in a Quest before? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Has anyone got any plans for people who worship Sylvania? Has anyone had anything like that in a Quest before? I think there're a couple heroes who do - Ellaria does, right? (Nothing as far as an order or group of NPCs, though, I think, if that's what you're planning.) Quote
Sandy Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Has anyone got any plans for people who worship Sylvania? Has anyone had anything like that in a Quest before? Well, fairies consider Sylvania to be their queen. Or the Queen of Fairies believes she is Sylvania. I haven't worked out the details of that yet... And yes, Ellaria hears Sylvania in her head, too. Although she might just be schizophrenic. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I want to make some kind of woodland cathedral, which would fit with worshippers of Sylvania, right? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Has anyone got any plans for people who worship Sylvania? Has anyone had anything like that in a Quest before? I actually have big plans for something of the like in the future (basically my big story arch plans), although, it is very possible for there to be multiple orders who worship Sylvania. Also, Sylph worships/may-have-been-in-a-relationship-with-at-some-point (not in a 100% literal way) Sylvania. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 1, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Sandy Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Absolutely right, Sylvania can be worshipped by many groups in many locations, and she, like the other gods, can have a multitude of names and appearances. To the woodland elves, she is known as Ivene, for example. For the purposes of other worshippers, her name can be morphed into Ywaine, Ylvanna, Silviane, Selwen, and so on. Be inventive! Quote
Zepher Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Crap, I forgot her! She was supposed to be among the last batch of guests to arrive... Thanks for noticing! Flipz is clearly trying to endanger the Ji Pei. They could have been far away and safe, and he dragged them into it. Damn mage. Quote

I am in awe of how you manage to morph names to different forms like that. Are you a linguistic scholar (read: J.R.R. Tolkien) by trade, mayhaps? Flipz is clearly trying to endanger the Ji Pei. They could have been far away and safe, and he dragged them into it. Damn mage. I want them there so you can give her the gloves on my behalf so I can get reputation for saving her life. Quote
Zepher Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Boomingham isn't the most trust worthy.... Sorry Flipz, he just kind of admires Umbra's spunk. And, as always, he has his own agenda for the evening. Quote
CMP Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 So let me get this straight. For Quest 68, you need heroes above level 25, and at least one healer, to slay a horde of rats? It's the perfect Quest!! Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 As a reward for ending a genocidal maniac's machinations over the course of 6 months, could Elphaba's Magic Wagon visit Luosh on its way off to other lands? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Endgame Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 As a reward for ending a genocidal maniac's machinations over the course of 6 months, Which one? I'm making the final big update in 48 now. Basically, as soon as I get this post off the ground, you can leave for the hall whenever. Though you may want to forge the sword first. I'll be in the QM Lounge soon to, to begin my breakdown of this quest. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Could've just asked someone... According to my calendar, it's still April. I'm bad at remembering exact dates. Which one? Dannylonglegs Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Sorry for the Double-post. I thought it'd Merge. How do the overkill gloves work for Assassins that roll insta-kill? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 1, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Flipz Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hmm...I'd probably say something like Gold equal to the amount of Health already depleted from the enemy--Assassination is effectively equivalent to depleting all of the enemy's health in a single strike. Either that or no Gold at all--Assassination could also be viewed as removing EXACTLY the amount of the enemy's remaining health in a single strike. Quote
Endgame Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Assassination could also be viewed as removing EXACTLY the amount of the enemy's remaining health in a single strike. This. There is no overkill in Assassinations, just an exact kill. Quote
Flipz Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 There, Zeph, she didn't want 'em. If you really don't want to give 'em to the Ji Pei, give 'em to Zelda Zeigfried--and do it on my behalf!! Quote
Zepher Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) NPCs and Boomingham never get along. Boomingham doesn't know the Jei Pi, and he can't think of a good excuse to hand them gloves without causing a panic. Perhaps he'll hand them off to Zelda. She has shown manners, at least. Zepher Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 It's only from reading so many Sandy quests that I know to really pay attention to a picture with lots going on. If its a shot of everyone, you can be assure something fishy is going on. Quote

Yeah, I just noticed that cat is still there, and it makes me suspicious... Quote
