Dannylonglegs Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Huh, that makes too much sense... I'm surprised no one else said that. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Chromeknight Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Drops from the Mad Cow. It gives a +5 permanent boost to max HP. For example, if you look at my profile in Statistics, I have a +16 boost to HP, resulting in a total HP of 60. One of my favorite items. We killed a mad cow recently, No raw meat though. If Sylph was on this quest, he'd say "above the bloody door." Nerwen almost did. Quote
swils Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I really want to go back to the Fields. I just enjoy the battles. Especially since I don't see a new Baba/Bluto or Shadeaux quest on the horizon *and* I likely won't have time for many roleplay posts over the summer. Maybe I'll just take something of a sabbatical and be ready to get back into it in the Fall. Quote
Sandy Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Yay, I found time for updates today after all! I'm going to go offline for the rest of the day, though. I have elements, perfectly useful for this. Yes Sandy, it is a contribution I can make. While the beastiary overwhelmed me quickly and soon was well past what I had intended and the NPC index the same ( you guys go too quick!) I love making arms and such. Is the sort of thing I am talking about. I made this as a little personal one when I was copying some I drew in school art classes. I chose the colour and charges and arranged them as well to the "rules" of Welsh/English heraldic tradition. While I can't get my head around hosting and get in too deep with something everyone is piling into... As King of Arms I can easily reward the odd member after a quest. Looks good, but I'm still unsure about how this will work in practice. Would the QM decide which element each hero gets as a reward, or is it an automated process, like "one piece per successfully completed quest"? I also don't understand how this would affect the amount of loot dropped in quests, since this is a completely different matter. Feel free to PM me more details. Especially since I don't see a new Baba/Bluto or Shadeaux quest on the horizon *and* I likely won't have time for many roleplay posts over the summer. My next quests will be the follow-up on the failed Ji Pei quest and a Guild of Invision quest. However, I'm going on a vacation to San Francisco at the end of June, so both of these quests won't start until July. And in August, it'll be time to celebrate the Second Anniversary! There will be a special event that delves into the time during the "Heroica massacre" that took place roughly two years ago in-game time. The event will be superfun, I hope, despite the gruesome theme. Quote
Flare Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Bricksandparts, you didn't calculate your purchases correctly in the Marketplace. You ended up spending a lot less money than you should've. Palathadric Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Great! Perhaps I will go for more reputation with the Guild of Invision. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Oh yes Bricksandparts, it is not in my inventory, but I did not give back the scroll I borrowed, you can add it back to your inventory. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Results of Round Two of the Fruit Salad Battle: QM Note: The next round will the autorolled because of Sentinel. Results of Round Three of the Fruit Salad Battle: >Arnulf vs. Bananasty - Hit (Bananasty: 47 health-(14/2=7 dmg)=40 health) >Kiray vs. Horrapple - Shield (Sentinel) >Grimwald vs. Cherrible - Shield (Blessing - All party members: 7 health restored) Horrapple - Cursed (-3 max health) QM Note: The next round will the autorolled as well because of Sentinel. Results of Round Four of the Fruit Salad Battle: >Arnulf vs. Bananasty - Hit (Bananasty: 40 health-(14/2=7 dmg)=33 health) >Kiray vs. Horrapple - Critical Hit (Horrapple: 37 health-(7/2=4 dmg)=33 health) >Grimwald vs. Cherrible - Damage (Grimwald: no effect) Although I guess it wasn't an alternative action, but I would assume that since they had received a sentinel they would fight from the front row. Flare Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Although I guess it wasn't an alternative action, but I would assume that since they had received a sentinel they would fight from the front row. Sandy isn't as kind as some other QMs *cough*myself*cough* Quote
Palathadric Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I know, but if it's auto-rolling, one would expect to be given a choice or that the more logical choice would be granted. I took a little artistic liberty, but hopefully not too much to keep people from getting it. From the people of blue (Xu) to those who are pale and live in ever-present delight (Eversummer Islands). To the string of the ocean (Pearl Sea) near the howling black beasts (The Mistlands) to the place where arch mages did fight (Etheria). Then away to the land of the unblinking three (Fenario), then to him who does not but destroy (Baltarok). A short stop in the place with the kindred of him who the noble Hall once did employ (Pantana). I made my way twixt the high and the low (Hign and Low Kingdoms) and skirted that heaven bodied place (Moone). To a land full of sorrow and bitterest tears and those with sand for a face (Nornia). Where am I? I didn't get it at all. Quote
Flare Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I didn't get it at all. I guessed everything correctly except two things Quote
Shoker86 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Damn, when i saw Sentinel rolled, I wanted to tell other , switch to front row. Then i saw autoroll, we're still in back row. Well , I'll have to write down one leghty conditional IF Kirray rolls Sentinel....... switch to front row Quote

Flipz Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Whoops, yeah, sorry Endgame, I all of a sudden realized that the Counterstrike course won't earn us any more gold, and I NEED that Gold. Fortunately, the Healing Staff will still work for that. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 By the way, Sandy, as always, your Quest is gorgeous. I couldn't help but think of this when I saw Yesmar: ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Bricksandparts Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Oh yeah?, well I only profited once in 30 rounds. So bleh. I still don't get how that is plausible. Oh well. I'm filthy rich anyways. Quote
Endgame Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) Have you been making your offerings to the Random Number Goddess on a daily basis, B&P? That is how I get my shield rolls... Edited May 4, 2013 by Endgame Quote

Endgame Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Like I've said before, three 6s when I roll euqals 3 Shields. Quote
xxlrocka Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I think Nessa's crossbow would be super effective against an aquatic were-raven which is weak against poison. And no, you can't take that idea to use in your own quest. Quote
