joeshmoe554 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Have we already discussed how difficult an etheral undead would be to defeat? They would be difficult, right? What could damage them? Holy elemental attacks and healing abilities. Quote
Zepher Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Yes, I did go back and do some reading, but that'd still be a toughy. One day we'll figure out a way to make an enemy that can't be damaged. Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) Cap'n, I basically just won (hopefully), but we'll be at this for some time. A game of chess is over by the first move, they say. It would be over faster if I unrolled my scroll of frailty, but I don't want to waste my time while you're blind. In your defense, my strategy was very risky (only 50-50 chance of success), and had I not succeeded, I would be dead before I got another chance. Druids are good support, but they're not meant to dish out damage. That said, we do have a better chance than, say, knights, but there was next to no chance I could have beaten you if I hadn't dealt with your nasty OP ability of sight. Edit: This is all assuming you don't waste a remedy on me. Edit: Can bows be fired from the front row? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 8, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
CMP Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Zoot weapons are soul-bound, sorry CMP. I know, McCafferey is insinuating he could use a better primary weapon because Wren got defeated. Well, actually, it's because almost everyone's primary weapon has some sort of cool effect now, but still... Quote
Flipz Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Zoot weapons are soul-bound, sorry CMP. He's trading for the Pheles Rod, I believe. Quote
Flare Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I know, McCafferey is insinuating he could use a better primary weapon because Wren got defeated. Well, actually, it's because almost everyone's primary weapon has some sort of cool effect now, but still... Mine doesn't Quote
Zepher Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Ah, I see, the rod. I forgot how much Zoot paraphernalia Hybros is lugging around. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Even though Masked's quest is over, we're going to wait to do Hybros-Guts-Docken again on Guffington 2, right, not the current Zepher quest in the Hall? The faun appears to be made of stone. Check (the ceiling) for White Witches, or maybe secret police wolves. Quote
JimBee Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Mine doesn't But Benji can deal extreme amounts of damage, even as a Warden. It'd be interesting to see how much damage he could do as a Hunter. Although a Cannoneer is what I've always been waiting for. Well, actually, it's because almost everyone's primary weapon has some sort of cool effect now, but still... Scythes are still awesome though, we really don't have enough of those. Along with a myriad of other weapon types. Note to QMs making expert classes: use some of the lesser-used weapon types, like hammers, maces, whips, lances, halberds, and even greatswords and scythes. Daggers, longswords, and bows are far too common these days. Ah, I see, the rod. I forgot how much Zoot paraphernalia Hybros is lugging around. It's true! Probably could've been Wren bait. Even though Masked's quest is over, we're going to wait to do Hybros-Guts-Docken again on Guffington 2, right, not the current Zepher quest in the Hall? (Hopefully) yes! I was planning on waiting for it, but it would be really awesome if both you and Scuba would come along too. And we have room for one other person, since Zeph said it'd be a four-person party. Quote

Although a Cannoneer is what I've always been waiting for. On the other hand, though, Flare spent a lot of Gold upgrading his weapons and optimizing their elemental strengths, so he can get into trouble as a Warden because of his low Defense. I do think he'd do better as a Hunter. (Hopefully) yes! I was planning on waiting for it, but it would be really awesome if both you and Scuba would come along too. And we have room for one other person, since Zeph said it'd be a four-person party. Hmm... Druid is always nice, so there's Sandy. Any healer would be a good idea, actually. Pie would be a nice addition; he can heal even if he doesn't do it too often. (As far as I can tell.) Quote

AFAIK, Pie's planning to come on the current Quest so he can FINALLY use Ratsbane on an actual rat. Quote
CMP Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 AFAIK, Pie's planning to come on the current Quest so he can FINALLY use Ratsbane on an actual rat. Yeah, but chances are good rats are going to show up no matter what Quest I go on. You can never wrong throwing in a rat battle. In any case, Ratsbane is going to be obsolete fairly soon. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 One day we'll figure out a way to make an enemy that can't be damaged. Immune to physical. Immune to magic. Two positive effects pulled from page 1 of R&D. Quote

Immune to poison and badly poisoned. Immune to doomed. Or simply immune to dying. Edited May 8, 2013 by Vash the Stampede Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 OK 62ers, I'm pretty busy today, so I'll update the battles this evening. You guys have as much time as you like to clear-up your battle orders, so don't feel like I'm rushing you to make a decision. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
UsernameMDM Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Zoot weapons are soul-bound, sorry CMP. If only I could get it to work for a Chi Monk...Hmm..... Quote
Zepher Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 It does not take a turn to put them on: only to receive them from Dreyrugr. Switching artifacts actually does cost a turn, switching weapons does not... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 He glances back up at Hybros, and slid the Sword of Ancestral Hatred across the table to the imp. "You've got yourself a deal, mate." Finally! Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Switching artifacts actually does cost a turn, switching weapons does not... Yes but Amorith has no artifact for handwear on. No switching required. Quote

XXLRocka checked in earlier but didn't post, so I assume that ,eans he didn't have anything to add. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
