I'm sorry if you don't want to write dialogue for every single house leader, Sandy, but I assume that's what we're supposed to do right now, right? He's certainly forming opinions about the Houses that he's defended thus far.

If Docken was there he'd be checking the ceiling or something instead.

And I don't know where JimBee is, but I know there's at least one small event left in Dastan. That quest seems to have stopped chugging for some reason. :cry_sad:

You weren't as badass a lock-picker as Pie. Sorry.

Nothing's useless as long as you look badass doing it. :smug:

Your party will get their chance to shine soon.

But I'm really not opposed to let everyone know the major NPCs better - that's why I thought of the Ball and rolled just about everyone there in the first place.

Besides, after this I can start chopping some heads with a good consciousness.

Pfft, you guys can mingle with your aristocrats. We have kitties.

:cry_sad: Please just kill the ones we don't care about! (the representatives of the three other cities, Guffington's assistant, the artists, the servers, the Heroes). Don't kill the important ones. Live important people, live!

Boomingham is having an interesting time. He doesn't really know the major houses as well as I thought he did, he's barely interacted with them at all in his time in Heroica, though I've always imagined that they're pretty important to him. I think he would have done at least a little research on them, so I've been playing a little fast and loose with in and out of character knowledge. Trying to be careful though.

What's really going on for me is that he's now stopped viewing the Houses as "The Houses" and is beginning to view them as individuals. It's interesting, but also very hard to play because I generally try to not write his thoughts, only his actions and text. I think I know which houses he'd back if anything happened though.

Probably for the better, actually. With all of these inter-house relationships between particular people (Like the marriage going on, for example) viewing the house as a single entity is going to cause you to gloss over a lot of wonderful plot.

Hey, you need U'Or! And I've already said that my only real goal this quest is to protect Mumbassa. Though I'm really hoping that we lose a number of IMPORTANT people this quest. I'm ready for the plot to get to the next step. Killing off members of the houses = favorite story moments. Stories need turning points. Those would push the story to the next level.

Well I recognized them as separate entities, Boomingham didn't. I read all the Sandy quests.

But, consider this. Patricia is in the room. I haven't actually discussed her combat capabilities with Sandy, but in my mind, she is Bad. Ass. She beat Guts. I'm just saying, that woman is probably stronger than most people in the room.

Fine. They can have the Ziegfrieds.

I'm hoping for deaths in more than one house.

Another thing I'd do if I were writing this as a novel, and not as a RPG - Arthur would have just been killed. As soon as he sent those letters off.

Captain Patricia MUST be awesome. I have no doubt. But she's outside, not in the room.

They're probably the only house in which everyone has skills in combat.

Hey, quit pre-emptively killing off all my family members before I can actually meet them and find out they're my family members!

I knew it. You get some sort of sick satisfaction seeing important and friendly NPCs die, don't you? :cry_sad:

Ah, sorry - was speaking as a general trend, not just for Boomingham.

Reading Sandy quests is pretty much a priority at this point.

How ironic would it be if Patricia's job class was Infiltrator?

On the subject of the houses, though, I kind of wish the other parties got to meet some. Maybe the Shadeaux went to the backdoor because they wanted to keep out of the light, or the Hinckwells go check to see how the food is coming along/deliver compliments to the chef?

You can keep your rich guys and kitties... I'd prefer mingling with Aristocats! :wub:Stinking dog-person. :poke:

Oh? The present Bonapartes are a warden and a prophet, which have used improvised weapons before. I assume the Ji Pei lady is skilled in battle, or at least has some useful gadgets, and her companion is a bodyguard skilled in unarmed combat.

Oh, I reckon she is a class of her own.

Dude, that's just a good incentive for roleplay. Deep voice: He finally found his long lost family, but too late, now they are all dead, and he can do only one thing...

I said everyone in a house. But you might have a point with the Bonapartes.

Okay, well, on second thought, Sandy's probably not going to have half the Ball's guests jump into action as level 50s like Nemo and Hestia. There'd be no point to Nyx, Boomingham, and Thothwick being there at all.

The only thing that is keeping me atleast partially liking cats is that my dog has an appetite for LEGO.

Although I've worked on 3? 4? RP sessions with Flipz, I gotta agree with this. Marks down the final period and is suddenly just fatally impaled by Violetta - would really kick the threat of the Wolfgang up a notch.

...But this is an RPG, where people pour hours into their character and would prefer to not have them murdered. I'm actually consdering doing what Kadabra did for Arasmyth. :look:

Also, can we have an in game reason for why Z-Mail should not work? Oh wait, I have a great idea. Valentine Ziegfried shows up to the party with a teleport spell. Boom, crossbow bolt to the face. That's two birds one stone!
