Vash the Stampede Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Aw, come on! Now Vash is going to read this and think he got lucky only to find out he wasn't. Not really. I already knew it would work like that.........sadly . But stopping a counter strike is lucky enough for me. Speaking of luck, I'm down to my last potion. I thought it would be later but we are being hit hard. DLL why didn't you make pathetic mob spawn for me to kill and get my health back. .......... Quote

I was seriously contemplating having AqB's special be: Summon Bigger Fish, which would summon a Lvl 5 HP 30 giant fish, but I changed it last second because A. I heard from Flipz that Mob Spawns suck, and B. I don't mean to completely overwhelm you. This is supposed to be a very difficult battle though. Also, while I think Karie's plan is pretty epic, and I'd love to get to roll to see if Fleur lives after you leave her, from an objective standpoint, the battle is still rather winable provided you have some luck this coming round. (Also, If you kill the Aquamancers, I will let you torch the ship. There are other Aquamancers aboard who couldn't be spared for the fight, but they'd lose allot of money due to structural damage on the ship.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 12, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Flare Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Karie should flee to the hold before Nessa throws a smoke bomb. Quote

I agree that mob spawns suck but when you have an item that turns mob spawns into health they really aren't so bad. There are other Aquamancers aboard who couldn't be spared for the fight, but they'd lose allot of money due to structural damage on the ship. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Structural damage..............thank you DLL. Ok 62'ers. Here's my plan but is it crazy enough to work? Dreyrugr climbs up the ship attempting to cut the mast so they cannot sail. Meanwhile Karie and Nessa go to destroy/venomise their food supply, mainly their fruit so that they get scurvy from lack of vitamin C so it ends up being too dangerous to leave port. This being while Drake hits the side of the ship with that mace of his (hopefully putting a nice hole in the side). Meanwhile Amorith sets fire/destroys the keel. If the keel receives even a small amount of damage that's pretty much the entire boat worthless as it will fall apart at dock or later at sea. Crazy idea but it seems to be a better choice to duking the battle out. Quote

Flipz Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I've got one day to finish up ALL of my final projects, so it's likely I won't be on tomorrow. Endgame has control over Arthur until I get back. Quote

Welcome to my situation, boy! I've been stuck in this for the best part of a year. The ship's coming on well, however; the quest... not so much. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Man, Tarn is just a Special Damage-rolling machine at the moment! And yes Flipz, the noble mask does look like it would suit a Shaman, maybe in the future Tarn will end up embracing the Valco heritage at last. Would make for some good RP. Quote
Sandy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Sandy creates all of the guardian angela, correct? Not really. I just made one for Cronk as a spur of the moment, and hinted one for Boomingham. Quote
Flare Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Sandy, you might have made an error in Round 5 of the Main Course Battle. This is what you wrote: DFC B - Free Hit vs. Grimwald (Grimwald: 10 health+1 SP-(5/4=2 dmg)=7 health) This is what it should be (I think): DFC B - Free Hit vs. Grimwald (Grimwald: 10 health+1 SP-(5/4=2 dmg)=9 health) The only reason why I'm not 100% sure if you calculated it wrong or not, is because no one else has mentioned it so far Quote
Sandy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 The only reason why I'm not 100% sure if you calculated it wrong or not, is because no one else has mentioned it so far Thanks for pointing it out, but sadly the only thing wrong in that calculation is the 10 health, as Grimwald was left with 8 from round four. I don't know how the kitchen party can overcome this battle anymore, but maybe a miracle can happen... Quote

Oy, rats Yeah, its not looking good is it... maybe you should through Chef Yasmar into the battle on the heroes's side, to even things out Quote

Jebediahs Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 You need to have an open mind. As with life, every encounter houses an opportunity for growth and development. You were just asking how to roleplay your character well focus your negativity and bring it in character. You don't need an epic quest to roleplay and I've given you material to voice your opinion about (in character) as has been suggested you do more often. I admit I don't know the best way to roleplay being lucky/luckless as in my opinion a character with good luck would just assume they were skilled at everything. I don't think anyone roleplays consumables taking effect of their character (or I've missed it if they have) other than "*gulp*gulp*gulp*" so I don't have a comparison to work against. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Aww, dissapointing how this had to turn out, but at least I got a level. :P Ah well, next time! Quote

Don't roleplay at the expense of the party. We have already dealt with that before, and it doesn't turn out well for anyone. Try to figure out a way to roleplay without being selfish and wasterful. Kintobor Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Wish we had Phoenix Essence to revive our knight, but damn those dices were bad. Sorry guys, I'm not that good in making tactics Well, you had two enemies that were hastened, so there wasn't a lot you could do, considering party size. Instead of having three enemies, you essentially had five pounding on you each round. In any case, you had it tough. Not much else you can do. It's like with me right now. I want Fleur dead, but the most I can afford to do is burn her cloth to some degree. That's Heroica for you. Sometimes you eat the table, other times the table eats you. (The Dude Abides! ) Oh, and King of the Zempk and Lord of Noobs, I have a quest cooked up that I'll aim towards you guys and maybe another couple low levels. Should be a good time! You better sign up, because if you don't... bad stuff will happen. Like finding a tack on your seat in Heroica Hall. Quote
Endgame Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Like finding a tack on your seat in Heroica Hall. Yes, because that is the worst thing that can happen in Heroica... when we currently have an omnicidal maniac count of about 11 and 3 god-like bosses. Quote
