Sandy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 At least she isn't singing Collective Consciousness. I have a hard time imagining that song to a pseudo-medieval setting. As long as its not a revived incantation of Wren, I'm fine. Oh, trust me - she's on a whole league of her own. Quote
Endgame Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I have a hard time imagining that song to a pseudo-medieval setting. Hey, you're the one who introduced androids into the gameworld. Whose to say Legonardo got bored and decided he wanted to rock out? But what the hey, the lyrics fit. Sorta. Quote
Flipz Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Speaking of acceptable anachronisms, I would find it hilarious if Vincent Legonardo had invented the bicycle. I picture him riding through the city on one of those little red LEGO bicycles, and it cracks me up every time. Cane we please say this is a thing? Or if not, can we a LEAST have a picture of it, Sandy? Edited May 12, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Zepher Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 As far as witches go, Wren was just a youngin'. I have no doubt Baba will be much more terrifying! And yes, I've actually given it a lot of thought, and I don't think we can call Heroica Psuedo anything anymore. With so many authors, it doesn't really fall into any category - in fact, the rules of their world are so radically different you have to wonder about it. They have robots, potions, magic, more races than can be counted, magical artifacts are a rule rather than an exception, they know about their universe, they have a number of pantheon of gods that are all accepted, their understand of economics seems to be quite advanced, there is rarely if ever any reference to actual family lineage as a right of passage of rule... its a very different and complex system, which is wonderful. The world has specific rules, but they're not from any one genre or any one other universe. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 It could also be that Barbarracia is a Siren. Bluto was under their effect in Quest 14, and wouldn't know Thothwick is immune to their singing. It would make sense of the wax. That would make sense, too, assuming that none of us told him that only Thormanil and Docken were also affected. He was in the barrel while we prepared to sail through the strait and probably wouldn't have known that only Thormanil and Docken were stuffing things in their ears. Quote
Sandy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Or if not, can we a LEAST have a picture of it, Sandy? Earlier that day, outside the Theater... Quote
Flipz Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Also, hooray for in-character misinterpretations! OK, now I really do need to get back to work. Quote
Endgame Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Earlier that day, outside the Theater... Patricia just makes the entire scene so much better. This question goes to all QMs, actually: do you keep quest important minifigures assembled always? As a digital QM, I just build them once... and duplicate them as much as it is needed. The Legonater Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 "Oh, enough of this. We were told to protect these people. Clearly this woman does not have the good of the party at heart." Boomingham rips his sword out of its sheath, gulps down his mulled wine, and tosses his military grade fire bomb at the stage. Yes, because throwing a bomb at the stage is obviously the best way to go. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) *sets up betting stand* Place your bets, place your bets! Who is Barbaraccia going to turn out to be! Place your bets! "Careful girlie, this is my turf." Edit: Also, 65'ers you'll get an update at some point today hopefully. Graduation is today, after that I'll have all the time in the world! Zepher Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) I have most everyone who is important to any of my quests floating around my room at home. I've deconstructed a few for parts... especially when they die. I also have a monstrously hard time keeping track of Poletad because he's so small. That is a LOVELY picture, Sandy. And I agree, Patricia makes it. Boomingham is never subtle! Just read the opening of 28. Besides, at this point we know that bombs don't kill people unless they've got about 10 hp... and he's making the gamble that everyone has more than that. Edited May 12, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) You quest 66 heroes are so polite! Someone please stab Barbariccia! EDIT: Read Zepher's post. Thank you! Edited May 12, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I had my main characters still assembled from the first quest to the third, so a span of about a year. Unless I need them for anything else, they will probably stay as who they are. Quote
Zepher Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 You quest 66 heroes are so polite! Someone please stab Barbariccia! I'm trying here! Quote
The Legonater Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I have most if not all of my main characters for the next few quests built and stored. Quote
Flipz Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 This question goes to all QMs, actually: do you keep quest important minifigures assembled always? As a digital QM, I just build them once... and duplicate them as much as it is needed. I try to have most of the major NPCs and as many Heroes as I can build assembled at any time. Poor Wigglepike was in shambles for the longest time, though, seeing as I only have one of the torso he used to share with Arthur. I'm trying here! No, you're trying to blow up Baba and everyone in the theatre. There's a difference. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I usually try to keep my NPCs assembled, but then I'll start figbarfs for quest concepts and they all get taken apart so I can build new combos, and then I have to rebuild them if I want to use them. Quote
Endgame Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Just drown out the sound of Baba's singing - set off bombs, bang the pots and pans in the kitchen, have Barty whine really loudly, something! Also... Sorrow basically just dropped a cluster f-bomb in Necromancer cant. There is a pattern to how I write it, for the most part! Quote
Zepher Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Well, I did lob the bomb before they all stood up, but I stand by it. I'm ready for some action. Quote
Shoker86 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Stealer 2, I hope I can make it in time for sign up.Aren't bombs in theaters considered terorism ? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Just drown out the sound of Baba's singing - set off bombs, bang the pots and pans in the kitchen, have Barty whine really loudly, something! Too late; she stopped singing, and everyone appears to still be affected. (Women and U'Kin included, so it's not just a Siren.) Quote
Endgame Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Too late; she stopped singing, and everyone appears to still be affected. (Women and U'Kin included, so it's not just a Siren.) Hopefully just temporary brainwash residue? Also, darn it. I built my bow for werewolves, and I'm not in the theatre to shoot them out. Quote
Sandy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 This question goes to all QMs, actually: do you keep quest important minifigures assembled always? Actually, yes. I only take them apart temporarily if I need some of their parts. Nowadays I have a collection of almost 1400 unique minifigs plus a plethora of separately bought parts for them, so I'm pretty well off. Quote
