Endgame Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Endgame, I'd expected you or DLL to have made a comment about the names of the werewolves. You beat me to it! Did you request that your brother and son gets mercilessly slaughtered here, or...? Quote
Flipz Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Someone remind me to never, ever have this many enemies in a battle again. I think my computer is going to melt down. Stupid editor. OK, are you SURE you're in the plain-text editor? All of the buttons on the editor should be grayed out and unclickable. If they aren't, click the little lightswitch icon in the upper left of the editor. Second, QUOTE this post and then copy-paste the spoilered content FROM THE EDITOR FIELD. That should solve the problem. (This is only the enemies, I'll fix the party momentarily.) Results of Round Two of the Market Fight: >Alexander vs Ambusher D: Miss >Brickington vs Ambusher G: Miss >Quellir vs Ambusher F: Miss >Eyric vs. Ambusher A: Miss >Sarge vs. Ambusher B(and C): Critical Hit ((17x2)+14=48 damage) >Sarge vs. Ambusher D(and E): Hit (31 damage) Thalion vs Ambusher A: Miss Vastin vs. Alexander (5-5=0 damage) Ambusher E vs Brickington (5-4=1 damage) Ambusher H vs. Quellir (5-5=0 damage) Ambusher I and J join the battle. Dannylonglegs Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Endgame, I'd expected you or DLL to have made a comment about the names of the werewolves. I've been somewhat busy, but, hey! Is that your long lost brother that the Party of 66 is about to kill?!? Also, I came up with another x or x name for the final moments of the confrontation with Fleur: Hold or Fold? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Uh-oh, Boomingham and Thotwick both do not have remedies.... Quote
Sandy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Yay, Romulus has found his son and brother. All those who read 48 closely will understand. Total coincidence, I swear! I just thought of stereotypical names for werewolves... I think my wording may have been unclear, I meant 'soon'. I was expecting and hoping for there to be a good amount of poisoning sneaking first, rather than him just walking in behind the stage. I feel as though the building tension was... shattered some how. But the whole point of this quest is that Steerpike and the Wolfgang thugs are just distractions, minions to a "bigger bad". The tension-building was simply to mislead the players. I hope I was successful in it, and did not foreshadow Baba/Barbariccia too much... Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hehe. I never asked for this, or planned it. I really want to be in the hall when 66 returns. Quote

That's why I always QUOTE the previous rounds and edit them. I've learned to use the Rich Text Editor without much of a problem, that way. Quote

The tension-building was simply to mislead the players. I hope I was successful in it, and did not foreshadow Barbariccia too much... I knew she was evil before I posted in the quest, though I didn't gues she'd be Baba. Sandy, after we finish taking out the trash, would we be able to bust some doors down and join the Theatre party? We kinda minmaxed for Steerpike, and I got the nasty feeling some house members will be joining the fray soon enough. Quote
Sandy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Wait, Baba is Heroica´s Big Bad? One of them, yes. Sandy, after we finish taking out the trash, would we be able to bust some doors down and join the Theatre party? We kinda minmaxed for Steerpike, and I got the nasty feeling some house members will be joining the fray soon enough. Well, if you find a good excuse for the party to leave their post and rush inside, then yes. And Arthur having a "bad feeling about it" isn't a good enough reason. Always remember, player knowledge vs. character knowledge... Quote

The fact that I still thought that Steerpike was the Arch-Villain probably means that you were successful. Quote
Zepher Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Uh-oh, Boomingham and Thotwick both do not have remedies.... Or Phoenix Essences! Don't worry, I have a plan. Wait, Baba is Heroica´s Big Bad? It's been said, yes. I'm glad she and Boomers will have a chance to chat. I've always felt he's not really part of the main story... and now he's VERY MUCH a part of the main story. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Still not as evil as Haroka. (one took a boy´s youth, the other murdered two thirds of a city) Quote

Endgame Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 And Arthur having a "bad feeling about it" isn't a good enough reason. Always remember, player knowledge vs. character knowledge... Hey, Sorrow's skull may be a tad hollow, but he has a somehwat good head on his shoulders nonetheless. He'll probably find some way to logically justify it... Quote
Zepher Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Still not as evil as Haroka. (one took a boy´s youth, the other murdered two thirds of a city) Baba killed all the Moon Elves. I think, at least. Scuba, always trying to out bad the big-bads. Doesn't respect Baba, doesn't respect Wren. Maybe he just doesn't like witches. And I don't have a good plan, Pandy... but I have a plan. We'll be okay for a while, at least. But we're putting Nyx on life support. Booooooo. Don't give us reinforcements!! I wanted Barty to fly out and ask them for hep, but thought that might be cheap. If they wanted to pass us an item or two through the window of a locked door or something... I wouldn't be opposed to that. Edited May 12, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Let me guess, Ulfric is around. I kind of want Ulfric whenever he appears, to be constantly making Skyrim references. (wasn´t one of the main characters in that game called Ulfric?) Quote
CMP Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Is it wrong that I started laughing when Baba showed up? Quote

Kintobor Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Is it wrong that I started laughing when Baba showed up? I had a rather large grin on my face! This is going to be amazing! Just putting things in perspective. I like Witches fine, just not very impressed with them. Well, there's a 50/50 chance you're not going to get along with Karie! TheBoyWonder Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yes, Ulfric Stormcloak, leader of a rebel faction. Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I kind of want Ulfric whenever he appears, to be constantly making Skyrim references. (wasn´t one of the main characters in that game called Ulfric?) The very same Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak of Windhelm, leader of the rebellion against the Empire. Skyrim belongs to the Nords! Guess I should stop playing that game. Quote
