:oh: I think that's the first Spellspin I've seen that hasn't hit every single enemy. Edited by Flipz

And is exactly why I said I thought it wasn't OP when it was brought up to nerf.

Actually (and this is very interesting now that I think of it), angels and other divine beings of Ennoc have consistently been shown to be capable of preventing injuries, but aside from perhaps Barty, they have not been shown as being able to heal them; all of the healing I've seen Paladins do, again, with the exception of Boomers, has been healing energy channeled through the Paladin themselves (and even Barty's actions can be explained away as Barty channeling Boomers' innate power without Boomers' knowledge). Sylvania and her followers, on the other hand, don't seem to be too good at preventing damage, but they're GREAT at healing it (Roots of Life, Nurture, etc). That's the sort of subtle distinction people like me love. :sweet:

Which is why Sylph considers himself a healer first and foremost.

OK, 62ers, since Kintobor went ahead and provided that lovely bit of Narration, I'll let Fleur sail away, and give you all a chance to regroup and whatnot. :sweet: Legobodgers peeped his head in and didn't seem to want to say anything and Vash already said what he wanted to (And I believe XXLRocka shouted his profanaties at the woman already too). Time to un-split the party!

There, what do you think? A fiting end(???) to Fleur? What next?

In my eyes Fleur's still out there. It's only a matter of time before she shows up again.

I rolled to see if she lived. I'm not telling yet, but if anyone is dying to know, PM me...

From here I don't anticipate the Quest lasting past Thursday (in fact, I'd really prefer that it ended before Thursday evening). You have to go to the WereRaven Mafia to claim the side-quest reward, and return to Dill Hinckwell and get the Quest reward... Watch out for burning buildings.

Also, now that the confrontation's over, I might as well admit that Fleur, Dice, and Yoro are all reference characters to "Spice and Wolf" a wonderful Anime that I'm absolutely in love with. :blush:They're not the same characters as their counterparts, but that is where I got the inspiration for this Quest. I'm thinking of doing a Quest for each of the 4 archs, going in somewhat reverse. (4, 2, 3, 1) The Character I based Fleur on is not the most widely loved villain of the series, but she is my personal favorite, and I wish her role had been expanded a bit more.

(If anyone's interested this is the Season 2 Opening. Guess which of the featured characters I based Fleur most on? [although, technically, she's a grouping of two of the Anime's villains.])

Also, here's the song I chose as her themesong. It's a little silly for such an "intense" character, but I think the unfeeling fixation on money relates well to Fleur.

If it's any consulation, IRL in DnD yesterday my d20 was acting like a d3. Really. You're not supposed to get 3 natural 1s in a row. And even then, you're supposed to get better than 3s on most rolls. My ranger nearly killed himself. He didn't take any damage from anything but himself.

Hate you so much right now. I've been looking for an IRL D&D (well, preferably, Pathfinder) group in my area for years, but never managed to find one. Almost managed to put together an Iron Kingdoms group this semester, but it fell through, and it looks like we won't be getting together over the summer, either. :sceptic:

Also, if I were in that party on 62, I would probably walk back to the Hinckwell guy, demand double rewards, and if I didn't get them, stab him out of sheer frustration.

We play 3.5, which is basically Pathfinder. We play a homebrew campaign which is pretty basic, but with some strappings of Eberron. I've also DMed a couple games myself a long time ago.

Well, 62ers, As I said before, you can do whatever you please, but if you end-up whacking Dill you won't be getting Hinckwell Reputation (even though he is pretty much a jerkass)... Which is not to say you can't haggle with him when the time comes.

I'd state that the other way around; Pathfinder is basically 3.5e, but Pathfinder is slightly more streamlined.

...I don't suppose you live in EDIT: my area? (location removed to PM)

Gratz WBD! What are they awarding you?

How do you store them all? Are they standing on plates on a shelf or in labeled boxes?

4 year degree in engineering, now it's on to a real life full of work and Lego!

Concerning NPC's, I only keep the current ones I'm using for a quest put together and then disassemble them to contribute towards more fig barfing for future quests.

Had a feeling it would be an anime but it just had to be one I've heard of but never watched. Well I'll know where to research for your next quest.

Works for me. I don't see Dreyrugr going as a support character except maybe necromancer but supporting isn't its first job and thats a long way off. :sceptic:

I don't really think I did badly on the looting side but when so much good loot stares you in the face and then skeddadles along with someone you wanted to get it really does build up that frustration. :hmpf_bad:

It's really good. I'm so sad it only had 2 seasons. :cry_sad: You should definitely watch it! It's not as actiony as this Quest was--the main character is a trader--but it's really great regardless. Depending on how you look at it, it's Romance with a medieval trade intrigue subplot, or medieval trade intrigue with a romance subplot. :purrr: I don't watch many Animes, but I'd highly recommend this one. And seeing as the main characters now have in-game coresponding characters, I might as well follow up on them. :innocent2:

Final question, Sandy: Injection will have an effect if they've rolled Half Moon Venom before, or if they still have all three effects?

If the target has any of the effects from the Half Moon Venom remaining, then Steerpike will perform Injection instead.

Speaking of which, was Miracle changed to Blessing at some point?

No, I just remembered the name of the skill wrong, since it's been so long since I last rolled for a Cleric. I noticed it at one point and went back and edited the correct name for it into the results.

OOC: Sorrow should get 4 rolls from him being Lucky AND Elijah being Jinxed.

Umm, I don't remember ever making such a ruling.

If you can find a post where I'm saying something like that, I will change the battle results. But this is the first time I'm in a situation with a lucky hero attacking a jinxed enemy, as far as I remember...

That is the way that it has been done in the past by multiple other QMs, as it is the way that makes most sense. You of course have final ruling on everything, but that has been done that way.

"Months ago, a man named Bluehood tried to give everyone in the city power. I stopped him and his foolish schemes."

I love how Boomingham is constantly reasuring everyone that he was the only one who went on that quest and played a part in Bluehood's defeat.

Personally, I've done it as best out of three rolls.

And nobody asked me anything about it...

I guess I'll add it to the FAQ, then.

And yes, that's why I'm rooting for it, especially because Lucky Guts + Jinxed enemy = death for all enemies.

I was under the impression that they don't stack. But yeah.

When they're on the same person, they cancel eachother out, but when a Lucky hero (or enemy) attacks a Jinxed enemy (or hero), then there's four die rolls and the best result is taken.

:look:
