When did I say anything against roleplaying? I'm not Doc, people. I'm just commenting on how difficult it has become to follow what is happening in that thread.

I am starting to get really annoyed with the Hall thread. People think that they can have discussions and interactions wherever they want outside of the hall, but still spam up the thread with out-of-the-hall posts. Guts' ship is not in the hall. Don't post it there. Johon's stables/house are not in the hall. Leave it out. The thread is becoming a confusing mess. I think we need to get stricter with whats happening in the thread, IMHO its really gotten out of hand.

I think that you should lighten-up and let it go. It's really not that much of a deal, people are simply roleplaying outside quests in the way that they want to, is that not what the hall is for? Where else would they post these events? In PM? That'd just be taking the fun out of it. people are at liberty to play how they want, it's not up to you to tell them what can and can't be done. For me, the moment that we have regulations for roleplaying is the moment that this game is ruined. I say that everyone should be allowed to post what they want, taking place wherever, and that be an end to it.

That depends on how much you care about each character/plotline. I care a lot about De'kra and his plotlines, so I follow them as carefully as I can. I care a lot about Sorrow's plotlines, so I follow them as closely as I can. There are other characters I pay less attention to, because (don't take this the wrong way) I don't particularly care about their plotlines. I still have a general idea about what's going on in Heroica, but if I don't understand I don't bother to look it up unless it's affecting one of the characters I DO care about. (The same thing goes for conceptual plotlines, too--I tend to zero in on Zoot and Chaos discussion and ignore less interesting topics, much like how TheBoyWonder zeroes in on Wolfgang discussion but not so much on other storylines.)

I realize that sounds cold, but it's basically how we experience the real world. If someone's talking to us about something we don't understand, we generally either nod along politely (if we don't particularly care) or else stop and ask questions (if we do care). It's similar to theatre as well; if one performer is giving a superior performance, we'll tend to watch them more than the others, and occasionally we'll miss stuff because of it. We don't HAVE to follow everything in Real Life if we don't want to--why should we have to do it in a game if we don't want to?

QM Note: Geez, don't apologize for having a life out of the internet! Heroica RPG should not be anyone's #1 priority in life.

Oops... :look::tongue:

Also, Sandy, just so you know, I posted a reply to Donny and Violetta, I think we cross-posted.

This is also how I read Heroica, especially quests. Certain characters' interactions don't interest or draw me in, so I generally skip over those (not naming any names, because that'd be unbelieveably rude). On the other hand, some heroes are so well written that I make an effort to follow all of their movements in quests and outside. It's just personal taste really, and sometimes it works the other way. When a lot of people are talking about a bit of roleplay that I had automatically skimmed the first time, I feel compelled to go and re-read it properly.

I know. I just replied to your reply.

It's "convince-a-war" now!

I have to say that I love how Arthur went in on the quest so sure he would stick with the Town Watch no matter what, yet the instant he met Donny and Violetta, he began to have second thoughts.

I know. What's with those smooth-talking kitties!

Well I missed some developments while sleeping. Hopefully I don't miss more, as Arthur's decision will directly influence De'kra. He just asked about the Wolfgang, and in the past he has supported revolution. Plus you know, De'kra kind of hates the houses (though Umbra wasn't as bad as he expected, and he is interested in the Jei Pi) It will be interesting to see where this goes.

In other news I continue to edit and mash together plans for my second character. It is reaching ninja zombie robot levels quick.

That means I win, doesn't it? :poke:

It means I don't care as much as you thought I did and I'm too busy writing up descriptions for my NPCs for the NPC Index in order to spend enough time to write a response of any sort to you

Oh wait :poke:

Endgame, don't forget the possibility of them escaping before the battle is even initiated. If I were you I'd attempt to initiate the battle before anything else happens.

Also, good thing that Benji isn't on that quest. He has a crush on Violetta

(he might... Then again, Benji is pro-wolfgang but will deny it, so no use asking him...)

And then Heroica was a soap opera. Will Benji win the heart of Violetta? Or will she continue to seek the attention of the mysterious Ulric? And what of Haldor's love child?

Who am I kidding, it was a soap since day one.

Gah, the fact it was Baba was actually obvious from the beginning. The Black Night completed the Morning Sun (I think that was his name?) and the Red Dawn trio from Quest 14. Cool move, Sandy.

5$ says Arthur changes sides again!

Hope he doesn't, I need his Jinxy Juice to murder some wolves!

Then Something Dusk is still out there somewhere. :look: And: Sorrow, kind of proving himself to be a badass here.

I'll take it. I say Arthur fears Patricia more than Donny and Violetta.

He has grown! Only wish he had dual katanas to carve up those generals - its hard to act cool with bow unless you're on a moving train or something.

Bright Day, actually.

The stories of Baba Yaga only features three knights representing the phases of the day, so there's no Dusk, sorry.
