Scorpiox Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) It didn't take long for Jess to track down Haldor. "Hey, Haldor. I overheard that Alexis and Tesni need one more to round out their group to the Fields of Glory... I want to go. I think I heard Tesni say that she wanted to be back in time for Haddon and Wren, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. I'm going to go ask Alexis if I can go with them." Haldor smiled and briefly spoke to Jess as she passed. "Of course, you go and enjoy yourself, I'll be waiting for your return." The Nord looked on at his love as she passed him, gazing quickly at her attractive figure as she left to return to her friends. When she had left, he turned toward his friend again. "So, what will it be, Althior. Stay, with your life, and with us, or leave us as you escape to a new life, to hell with the people you used to know. Your choice, but make sure that you will be happy with it for the rest of your life. One fight doesn't have to spell the end for your love, and there is always the chance of reconciliation. But if you want to leave us all then, that is your choice, but I will be very dissappointed in you after all this. But go on, decide." Edited August 9, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
Palathadric Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) Having been almost utterly ignored by the group at the loud table, or rather the loud group at the perfectly normal table (apart from a from one of them), I turn away and look for some heroes I know. Benji is still gone on his quest, Leo has departed from the hall, Daxus is dead, Alisha, is also absent. Not unusual though, considering the kind of woman she is! Then there are those I met at the hall. Arasmyth was still out questing. The young, somewhat hot-headed fellow was questing with Benji. At least that cursed vampire and the other devil are not around, I think gratefully. I then notice the elven ranger whom I had shared some words with, before she had gone out a-questing. I approach Alexis. "Good day, Miss...Alexis, was it? It's been a while. We didn't get much time to talk last time we met. How went your latest quest?" I then notice her somewhat upset face. "Umm...perhaps this is not a good time?" Edited August 9, 2012 by Palathadric Quote

Masked Builder Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Finnegan laughs from across the room. "A bit?" He started laughing hard. "Just like he's totally dumb enough to take you, his girlfriend, out to dinner with the women he's cheating with!" This was too good. Being able to make fun of the elf and not be called out for doing so, what more could he ask for? You know, besides a she-aura... "You again?! Shut it mister. Did you just ask for a she-aura again?" I then notice the elven ranger whom I had shared some words with, before she had gone out a-questing. I approach Alexis. "Good day, Miss...Alexis, was it? It's been a while. We didn't get much time to talk last time we met. How went your latest quest?" I then notice her somewhat upset face. "Umm...perhaps this is not a good time?" "Oh no this is fine. It was okay, we failed it but got reputation with the Wolf gang." Quote
K-Nut Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 "You again?! Shut it mister. Did you just ask for a she-aura again?" "Hey, I have nobody to tell me to stop insulting you. I don't live with you anymore, it's not like you can throw me out on the street." Quote
RPGer Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 "Johon! I have not seen you for a long time. Will you come with me on the Fields of Glory quest?" "Nagure, remember me, I saw you when you came into the Hall for the first time. Will you come on the Quest to the Fields of Glory with myself, Johon, and Siercon, the dark mage who came to the Hall a few weeks ago?" OOC: This could be one heck of a team if you all come..... The_Customizer Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Well, it seems as though some age-old arguments have escalated quickly! Perhaps the faster the new quests are started, the safer even will be. (With less of a chance of people being thrown into the streets) Quote

Althior stared at his cane, examining every little detail, thinking. He starts to chuckle before speaking. "Damn you, Haldor and your silver tongue." He started to laugh through the pain before standing up, "Don't worry, I'll be back," He starts to head to the door before turning back. He looks at the cane before snapping it in half. He tosses it to Haldor. "Don't need this anymore," He tips his hat before descending the steps of Heroica Hall. He walks out the doors, the fresh air filling his lungs. Those men were right. He did have a part to play. Quote
Siercon and Coral Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) Siercon still sat there on his little bench watching the heroes walk back and forth on their various missions. The he saw Eryk Tyrvarr! He had memorized all of the names of anyone who got an unexpected scroll in the lottery. "He's a barbarian" he thought, "maybe he'll sell it to me?" Approaching Eryk, Siercon said "Hey, congrats on getting a scroll in the lottery! You wouldn't perchance want to sell your scroll of sleep for say 35 Gold?" Sandy Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 ~A new quest has been posted on the Quest Board (#45 by Khorne)!~ A man in a bat-winged helmet stepped into the Hall, and posted the chosen heroes for the quest pitched by the Shadeaux. Participants to Quest #43: Protect My Brother ~ Dak Shadeaux, Level 15 Black Knight (Darth Nihilus) ~ Sylph Solanum, Level 15 Druid (Dannylonglegs) *Party Leader* ~ Johon, Level 17 Raider (Bricksandparts) ~ En Sabah Nur, Level 18 Battle Mage (Jebediahs) After that, a clucking chicken sprinted in to deliver news on who would be the first to enter the Fields of Glory. Participants to Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory (Note: The sign-ups for this quest will restart after the current party has left the fields.) ~ Tesni Hightribe, Level 23 2/3 Berserker (Peppermint_M) *Party Leader* ~ Alexis Fenral, Level 20 2/3 Evoker (Masked Builder) ~ Jess Islanti, Level 19 Assassin (Sisco) OoC: Both quests will launch over the weekend. Ellaria watched all this take place while leaning on the railing at the top of the stairs. She was unsure how it had happened, but it pained her that her two good friends had gotten in on an argument over her. Alexis and Althior had tried to hide it, but she knew it was because of the dinner last night. "Is this a curse?" she muttered to herself. "Does every good thing I touch turn into dust?" But Ellaria knew she could not afford to wallow in self-pity or sink into depression. She had to give her everything if she ever hoped to find Elpis again. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Johon walks back to the hall after hunting and working some on his house. He notices that another Z-mail has appeared. He picks it up and pulls out a scroll of sealing. He rolls it up and stows it away in his backpack. He goes over the the quest board to see if he had been chosen, expecting that his name wasn't there, he looked over the list pessimistically. Then he notices that he was chosen! Then he notices that this would be yet another quest with his rival Nur. Johon decides to forget about the past and try to settle our differences and be able to finally work together. After all, Johon might be able to teach something to the mage looking into strength and survival skills. Quote
Jebediahs Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Nur sees the questboard. His eyes slowly close and he inhales deeply. The air is expelled and he nods as his eyes reopen. "Ho there, Johon. I've been working on my physical strength so that I may be able to "fight side by side with the warriors" as the battle mage recruitment poster says. What do you know of our comrades, Sylph Solanum and Dak Shadeaux? Quote

Haldor laughed, and gave Althior a pat on the back, which unfortunately caused him to stumble and nearly fall. "Ha, I knew that you would see in the end. I'm not going any way, and I will await your return, It is good to have you back, comrade. We'll get you sorted out in no time." And then, the weakened but none the less spirited Sage departed the hall, promising to return. The Nord found himself suddenly in possession of two halves of a broken cane, and looked around awkwardly, before tossing them in a hearth fire. But sadly, all was not yet rosy, as Alexis was still misguided, and Elpis was nowhere to be seen. But at least Jess was being looked after. Haldor decided to make a brief trip to the marketplace, in search of more equipment to prepare him for the future. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 "I don't know too much about either of them, I haven't quested with them. I think that Dak is some relative to the Shadeaux, as his name would imply." Johon notices up close that Nur was even stronger than he appeared at a distance. "So, looks like someone's been working out?" Johon pats Nur on the back, but unlike old times, Nur is fully able to remain standing. "Would you like me to teach you some survival skills before we head out?" Quote

Johon walks over to Namyrra at seeing the offers. "Say there, I was interested in some of your offers. How about this: I'll give you a scroll of sealing and 160 gold for the Ethereal Cloak and the Lullaby wand? I believe they could come in handy with the quest I'm heading into." Quote

It was okay, we failed it but got reputation with the Wolf gang." "Reputation with the Wolfgang, you say? Can that be good news? A bunch of hoodlums and criminals as far as I'm concerned. I would stay away from there lot if I were you. How did you come to meet up with them. I thought your quest was for the reigning families of Eubric? Humph, seems like you're off again as soon as our meeting begins. Quest well and may the blessings of God go with you and your party." I turn to the board, noticing another quest being posted up. "Excuse me, one moment," I mutter to Alexis, before pushing my way through the crowd to the quest board. I gaze in wonder at the amount of gold being given and, without even so much as reading the quest, I sign up for Quest #45: The Doctor is In. I then hurry back to where Alexis and her company are seated. Edited August 10, 2012 by Palathadric Quote

"If you had posted this just a couple of hours ago, I would have purchased the cloak from you without hesitation, but now I have spent money on this tricorn. Consider me interested, but I will have to think over whether I have the means to buy it or not. Unless, of course, you are willing to give it to me for a greater discount or if you are willing to let me pay you half now and the other half whenever I return from my next quest? Also, is there any way whether I can determind whether your cloak is a genuine make and not a fake?" "Sure. Siercon, isn't it? Heard you went off hunting frogs. How'd that go?" Erik hands over the scroll of sleep to Siercon in exchange for 35 gold. "Ah, Erik, if I had known you would be willing to sell the scroll for so lowly a cost, I would have purchased it off you. You must let me know if you will do any such sales!" I lament. Quote
-obelix- Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 (edited) Having just recently graduated from guild of Mages, proving a finest Mage of the elements in his class, in a small elven settlement in the forest, young mage Lanae Dwinlas (young by elvish standards at least...) came to Hall of Heroica seeking to fulfill trials (a feat accomplished only by questing) that will grant him a title of a Arcane Master among his people! "Greetings fellow adventurers! My name is Thalion Dwinlas, a mage from Grisalirr, and I wish to prove my worth! I will gladly help, in any way I can, the good people here! Is there anyone willing to admit a young mage into their adventuring company?" Edited August 12, 2012 by -obelix- Quote
