"Hm. The strangest request that I served was for a little Norn girl in the Hovels trying to find her friend. It seemed like a small task for seventeen heroes, but it turned out to be one of the most important of my career. We ended up stopping an archdemon and its Ziegfried summoner. More importantly, it gave me a means to reach my people, though I did not realize it until recently, eheh."

OoC: Not sure who else is nearby Johon or Leofwein, so hinting at who else he's talking to would be nice.

Johon extends his arm to shake. "Name is Johon, apparently the champion of Darkness now." He says, pulling out his Decamon deck briefly. "So what brings you to Eubric?" Only now does the Raider realize that he's speaking with a tribal member rather than a knight.

"The Ziegfried's have the power to summon demons? Astounding...it is a power we need access to in our guild." Stones suddenly fall from Nur's hand as it returns to normal. The mage shrugs as he has found it is best not to waste time and energy questioning these things. He sweeps the rubble off the table onto the floor.

"Yeah, think you may have mentioned that to me some time. Or someone else. But the Hel knows, we've got demons left and right far as I can tell. The frog we saved was a Ziegfried too." Boomingham glances down at his bag of holding, suddenly remembering something. He yanks out the Medal of Optimism. "Is there a place we have for remembrances of heroes who went down in action? Maybe I should ask the Sand Queen. I promised her I'd have a drink with her once we got back."

Boomingham grins goofily at Thalion. "How's it going, chap? Save any more frogs since we last met?"

"Greetings, master Boomingham! Its going fine, though much busier than before." Thalion points to his craftsman apron and the various wood crafting tools around it. "No, no frogs, but I did save a turtle! You?"

He turn to Hybros, "Its true, we've met on a quest to rescue a frog, but in fact it was a Ziegfried boy-turned-frog. So no matter how belittling it may have sounded from what master Boomingham said, in truth it was a search for a lost person; same as the quest you mentioned, the one we met on." He pauses for a moment, "Did I hear right, you said your people came back? Strange, I thought you said once you were the only one of your kind... How did that happen?"

"You became a craftsman?" Boomingham claps him on the back. "Good for you, chappo! The job of a hero isn't for everyone, that's certain. Hel, if I knew how to do anything other than command men and swing a sword, I'd probably take it up right around now. My bones are becoming tired. So, you're just in the Hall for some free drinks, or do you work for heroes? It'd be good to keep some folks in the fold who did a bit more support work. Wouldn't hurt to hire a second bar tender, for example."

"I used to be a barbarian like you. Then I took an arrow to the knee. I'm not sure what path I will take, however. I was thinking maybe I could teach you a thing or two at the arena, but I think the quest will be starting soon."

Hybros shrugs. "I have met the Sand Queen once, but I have not seen her or any of the Veterans besides the Copper Fox since then. Heh, I feel as though we have been here long enough to be called veterans ourselves." He looked away sadly. "That is, if we survive long enough... Erdathcath will be remembered in the Hall of Heroes, I think it is on the way to the arena in this building."

"One of them. I remember on our first quest, Boomingham and I found some mysterious vials that belonged to the family, which seemed to contain some strange wisp of a person. They are capable of many things, I am sure, and I think some heroes have learned a few of their secrets...." He watches Nur's arm transform. "Eh... does that happen all of the time?"

"Mm, yes, capable of much indeed... eheh." Hybros finished his mead. "Yes, I thought that once. But I knew others like me were out there somewhere. They were... banished from this realm long ago. I was able to bring back a few, but there are many more still trapped in... ehehm, another place." He admitted to Thalion, Nur and Boomingham. "Perhaps you can relate, as an elf. I have heard that they used to keep to themselves, though I do not know why. Where are your people, Thalion?"

The orc comes in once again. This time he has sweat beads in his forehead and red stains in his lab coat. He posts yet another note

Nur shrugs again, giving his hand a once over. "Magic...merely an incantation running its course." He turns towards Thalion. "How well can a craftsman possibly fair on a dangerous quest? When faced with an enemy do you throw your pottery creations at them or simply hide behind your companions?"

Boomingham stands up as he sees the near heroes cluster around the quest board. He wades through them, swinging his weight around to shove them out of the way. He scans the two quests, and with a coy grin pens his name under Quest #130. "Finally, a quest fit for a King. Much better than something posted by the Regret. Seriously, what the Hels."

"A minor Goddess, but as far as those go, certainly not the worst."

Mortimer glances at the questboard, squinting for a while. He hastily scrawls his name under both before returning to a comfortable seat. They both sounded promising, and both job classes interested him. He wasn't sure marauder suited him, though-- not without his lessened vision.

Mortimer signs up for Quest 129 and Quest 130.

"Ehehm, Thalion is a very skilled fighter. I have seen him cast many powerful spells and hexes myself."

Hybros takes a moment to check the questboard. He'd had his fill of the Guild's shenanigans for now, but the part about Red Assassins was quite interesting. He wondered how the Red Assassin he had met at Guffington's party, Avery, was faring in her profession. He still had the crimson cloak that marked the talents of a true assassin. Perhaps he would return to those ways one day.

Two other quests caught his eye, though. He signed up for Quests #129 and #130 and noted Boomingham's name before returning upstairs to rejoin the conversation. "Ehehm, Boomingham, I forgot about your, erm, faith. How is your angel?"
