Alexis and Althior slowly become aware of a large blue hat and an oversized serpentine staff sticking out from behind a giant notepad. Upon closer inspection, it's Arthur, sribbling down every word the pair say. He doesn't appear to realize you've noticed him.

[K-Nut]

"Well, she was kind, and a player if I may say so!" He laughed, "Don't ask me how many boyfriends she had! She was a kind soul, but seemed to change everything about herself when her current husband came along. His name escapes me even today." He looks to the other mage, "What are you doing over there? Staring at us? Do you want me to set that notepad on fire?" He grasps his ruby.

Alexis laughs. "Well she sounds like quite a character! It would be nice to meet her one day. I though you said she was younger than you?"

"Well, she was kind, and a player if I may say so!" He laughed, "Don't ask me how many boyfriends she had! "What? Who? Fire, sir, no, sir!" He leans over and whispers in Althior's ear, forgetting that Alexis could probably still hear him. "Hey, can't blame a guy for taking notes. Actually..." he glances at Alexis. "Any chance you could give me lessons?"

[K-Nut]

Alexis laughs. "Well she sounds like quite a character! It would be nice to meet her one day. I though you said she was younger than you?"

"Oh she is! I was working on my mage studies when I heard them. Don't make me put it in detail."

"Any chance you could give me lessons?"

Althior jots down a name on the pad:

"Thanks!" he blurts out, then runs off so fast he almost leaves an afterimage. He searches the Hall for Haldor.

[K-Nut]

OOC: He's on a quest.

[Bricksandparts]

"What? Who? Fire, sir, no, sir!" He leans over and whispers in Althior's ear, forgetting that Alexis could probably still hear him. "Hey, can't blame a guy for taking notes. Actually..." he glances at Alexis. "Any chance you could give me lessons?"

"Want fighty lesson?" Alf would be ready to fight Arthur t give him a taste of adventure...

[Masked Builder]

"Okay then Althior." She smiles. Then leans over and whispers. "Who's that mage you were talking to?"

[K-Nut]

"Uhm," He said, "He was asking if he could get some lessons from me for some spells! Yeah that's it, but I said I'd help him some other time. I was a bit preoccupied at the moment."

[Bricksandparts]

OOC: if you want to fight, K-nut can roll some die and we can have a fighting lesson. of course no Levels will be gained and I'll go easy on you.

Alf readies his weakest sword, his plain old great sword. (If Arthur fights, I'll lend him the focal staff for one battle)

Arthur skids to a halt in front of Alf. He looks hesitantly at the Barbarian's muscle-bound frame, but decides that if he's injured, he could probably find a NPC Cleric to patch him up. "OK, sure. Things are kinda slow around here..." He shrugs, then readies his staff and Opal.

[Masked Builder]

"Oh alright then." She looks suspiciously at him. "What do you think of the roast pork? I have yet to try it."

Arthur recieves the Focal Staff and bows formally, then assumes a battle stance. He holds his Opal aloft, channeling his energy through it, to attack Alf with Ice from the back row.

[K-Nut]

"No, I haven't," He leaned in and kissed her, "I'm tired, so I'm heading to bed. See you in the morning." He smiled as he left.

[Bricksandparts]

OOC: Uh, K-nut are you gonna roll the die? I'm just wondering...

[Masked Builder]

"Alright my friend." She kisses him back. "I will see you in the morning." Alexis smiles at him as he walks away.

A mysterious stranger walks into the hall. He sees two young warriors about to fight. After a sigh, the stranger decides to mediate the battle.

"The mage with the odd fellow named Finnigan used a magic burst. You're screwed, other one."

Spag pushed Atramor's hand away from his face. "Don't patronise me, boyo!", he snapped, "They both had the same coloured feathers AND the same evil stare!" His attention suddenly turned to the beginning battle between the clumsy mage and a barbarian. "Grrr, no fair!", he whined obnoxiously, "Why don't I get a battle lesson? I'm new as well, y'know!"

[Kadabra]

Arasmyth watched the young mage get up and begin a practice fight with that annoying barbarian he had met in passing once before. He looks at the Grumpkin whining to Artramor about his chicken in surprise. It was rare to see Grumpkins above ground nowadays. He finished his drink and settled in to watch, he had nothing better to do until the heroes who were selected for Quest #17 were selected. He crossed his fingers under the table, not wanting others to see him acting superstitous, then called out to Arthur, "Freeze the man solid, boy! Use that staff for something other than tripping people!"
