"Oh, no, I only hate Brobric Elves. I have no problem with any other type of elf...

There are other types of elf, right?"

"Of course there are other types of elves, for example I am a half-elf, my mother was an elf and my father was a human. Man... haven't seen them in a while. My mother was a mage, and my father a famous ranger."

IC: De'kra listened closely to the hall, wondering how he might stop this plague. De'kra experience with disease was very limited, partly because he didn't have the capability to become sick with the plagues of Uland. But even in his memories, the three plagues he remembered were not the same as th plagues here. No, De'kra's experience would be useless in trying to save the world from Rome Ant Icism. But maybe the Library could help.

Turning to De'kra: "I think I know the solution to this spreading disease - kill 'em all before it spreads any further!"

Althior turns around, pestered by this knight's mouth, and dreads the day he leads him. "He's an aura," is all Althior says before returning to his drink.

Alexander senses his annoyance.

"You wouldn't have been pestered if you simply told me that the first time."

Sensing he is probably being completely ignored, he turns away and goes to order some lunch.

"Don't worry Alexander, he's always been a snob "

Althior pivots in his chair and stares at Benji, "I wouldn't be talking Elf! At least I wasn't the one who started this war! Don't be sitting their calling people snobs who are being put in to stop what you did! Get off your fat butt and do something good for once!"

OOC: Again, Nothing against you, but I'm setting things up for Althior in his quest.

-==IC: Arthur==-

Arthur silently wonders if his oratory last night fell on closed ears. He really hoped it hadn't.

OOC: K-nut, did you get my PM with the message from the parchment Arthur gave Althior?

"Why don't get off your megablocks and do your own work? You're practically enslaving Finnegan," spat Atramor from across the room.

OOC: I did, Flipz. :classic:

Althior turned to Atramor, the jackass of a rouge. "Why don't you keep your sorry megablocking mouth out of this, eh? I don't enslave him, I'm his creator and his only friend, I give him a roof to sleep under, plus I actually help him, unlike you. When's the last time you helped somebody for free? How about never? That seems like a reasonable assumption!" He spat at Atramor as he looked at his hand. It had a dark purple spot on it, obviously being the works of Abraxas. He was being corrupted by it, and he needed help from someone. Anyone. Even Atramor if necessary. He covered it up before anyone could see it. His eyes were filled with rage, and he couldn't stop it. The only thing holding him back was Alexis, and that still wasn't much.

Atramor paled slightly, the latter bit of his sentence...well, it was a completely reasonable - and all too true - assumption.

"If you and Finnegan are friends, you and me must be real mates then, huh? All I've ever heard you do is insult the blue fellow."

"Number One, why does everyone say he's blue? He's a transparent Aura! And Number two, we know we're joking around, he insults me, I insult him, we drink together, All good times! But I can still say I didn't know he could drink." :look:

"I dunno, I'd ask him yourself if he thinks it's a joke."

"A house divided against itself cannot stand," Arthur interjected. "If we start fighting--truly fighting--now, we might as well bring down the Hall atop us all and save us the painful descent into self-destructive madness. Althior, I have seen true war. It stains the heart and corrupts the spirit. I thank the gods that I have never had to participate in it until now. But now that I am, I feel it is more important than ever to hold on to that which is right and pure in my own spirit, to seek the inner strength that is within. As a mage, surely you understand that of which I speak?

"And you, Atramor. Truly, your words are shaper than any dagger of steel. But as you well know, a blade mishandled can cut both ways." Arthur looks at both beligerants to make sure they are paying attention. "When you point a finger at others, three more point back at yourself."

OOC: Again, my character saying this, not me, I'm loving the characterizations.

"It actually depends on how you're pointing. You could have all your fingers pointing away, therefore none pointing at yourself,"

"You take things too literal, ya' know."

Alex pops up in his chair after listening.

"His words are sharp? He surely wasn't the one who was racist against elves and said that they started a war. I'm an elf too. Consider your own words before you consider others."

The chevalier's hand goes to the hilt of his sword and he puts on his morion.

EDIT: Addressed to Althior.

"Benji certainly isn't an evil war starting brobric elf. Would you also say Alexis sitting there next to you started this problem?"

Alex as a young elf is a master at this argument talk and being able to bring in other factors. He gets a confidence surge and smiles.

"On the contrary, I believe Spag is the one who has a problem with elves, and he claims it is only the Brobrics whom he despises. Though I get the feeling that in reality he despises everyone in general, not just elves. And sir, the elves DID start a war--not your bretheren, nor those of lady Alexis, but those of the Brobric Forest. Indeed, upon reading the account of the record, I begin to wonder if the Shadeaux did any more to that elven tribe than to provide them with a convenient excuse to exercise their violent, xenophobic rage. Unlike the vast majority of peaceable elven tribes I have bet, the Brobric Elves seem downright...bloodthirsty. I suspect that if they indeed used to be a peaceful race, some influence far more powerful and sinister than the Shadeaux has been at work on them..."

I know that, but Althior just snapped at an elf for talking. Benji wasn't a Brobric, so why did Althior say he started the problem? I'm asking him.

"Because he was the one that killed the leaders of the elves, launching the war between them,"

If we are going to be questing together, then start acting like a team!

"Because he was the one calling me a snob for preparing my teammates for the war that he had started! At least the other heroes had the humility to admit what they did wrong instead of blaming others for trying to fix the problem that they started! I'm starting to wonder if you're an appropriate addition to this team. Being snappy doesn't help anyone elf, so start being a team player, get yourself ready, and show the heroes putting their lives up for this some respect!"

Preparing me? I asked a question, you got annoyed. Benji never blamed you. You blamed Benji. Look how many times you said something mean or referring to Benji starting a problem.:

"I wouldn't be talking Elf! At least I wasn't the one who started this war! Don't be sitting their calling people snobs who are being put in to stop what you did! Get off your fat butt and do something good for once!"

And do something good? Yelling at your teammate for asking a question certainly isn't good. YOU do something good. And are you saying I'm not risking my life?

Alex quickly glances at Alexis, then quickly back.

:hmpf: "Well, calling me a snob for trying to help people is what he did. I'm leading seven people into a war-zone, and you don't expect there to be any pressure on me? I may have burst out, but don't go calling someone who's trying to help a snob, which, if you didn't do what you did, wouldn't have to do this. Fair? Don't make yourself feel more important than anyone else on this quest, or you're gonna' find yourself in a living hell, got it? I have no problem with doing that. I have too much to lose to let people be complete idiots in a war-zone. Are we clear?" Edited by K-nut

I know there's pressure, but how were you helping me? Just say and solve this mess so it's not awkward on the quest.

PS: If you didn't want to do someone else's work, then why did you sign up?

"I never said I didn't want to do their work, I'm just saying that they shouldn't treat me like dirt for doing it. Clear?" His hand surged with pain. He looked at it and realized the spot had gotten bigger. He couldn't tell Alexis about this. He wouldn't.
