CMP Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 PS: If you didn't want to do someone else's work, then why did you sign up? I do believe we'll see soon enough. Atramor, failing in his attempt to ignore the steadily rising-in-tension conversation, turned to the group before him. "Let's all calm down, mates. The party of quest 4 was tricked, and this quest is going out to help. Althior, you volunteered for this quest, you should know what it entails. Alexander, you just calm the hell down. Althior's probably the most able person on the team to end up leading it. Just act like a team y'all, all right?" Quote

K-Nut Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 "So, are you guys square now?" *sigh* "I certainly hope so," Althior realized something, "It's getting late, and Alexis still hasn't shown up! I'd better go back and check on her before our date." He then left the room to find his love. Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Alexis comes into the hall and sits at a table to wait for Althior so they can start their date. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Althior starts walking down the right side of the stairs when he sees a cape fluttering up the left. K-Nut Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 He grabbed her arm, "Of course!" He was certainly going to miss her on his quest, but he knew he'd see her again. He had to. He laid a kiss on her cheek as they walked away into the busy street of Eubric. Who knew Eubric could be such a romantic city? Quote

Tanma Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 IC: De'kra mused at how terrible a city Eubric was. Ancient plagues being released every other month, former "heroes" creating barbaric tournaments and torturing anyone they met, wars being created for political power, egocentric and self absorbed leaders, this city was truly a dystopia. Yet sadly, a part of De'kra's memories gave him the sense that he had seen worse places, places that would eat up even the most idealistic hero... De'kra was shaken out of these thoughts by the shouts of an experienced Mage, one with a ridiculously high level. De'kra cringed as the Mage shouted about how the heroes of Quest 4 caused the war, as it was totally true. But what De'kra didn't understand is why that Ranger was taking the heat, De'kra was the one who doomed the mission. He had led the decision to kill the elves, he had ignited the war. And De'kra had made tons of mistakes on the mission, with very few good decisions. The other members of Quest 4 had at least one saving grace on the mission, but De'kra had done nothing useful at all. He was a failure. The only thing he could take comfort in was that he had Wren as an example of what not to be, just like the better heroes had De'kra as an example of how not to act. He would not turn out like her, no matter what. Quote

Ranger not participate too much in quest, he not guilty of decision. It I fault, not Ranger." The shade added softly, "I not sure I sense Ether, I not know what I species able to enact. Kenghis Ghan Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) Spag shook his bulbous, orange head, in an effort to snap himself out of it. "I.. I dunno what came over me, I mean I.... You actually b-believed me about my parents? Ha, um, wow, as if I-I'd ever care about anyone but m-myself! I'm only in this for me!" Spag said, unconvincingly. He wasn't sure why, but he didn't want any of his fellow questers to know that there was a soppy mess of orange mush behind that rough, ugly exterior of his. He decided to just go back on his own, to the other side of the saloon, to try and figure out just what was going through his own mind. He always thought that conversing normally with members of other races would be easy, but it ended up being harder than he thought. OOC: I think what I was trying to get across with this post was that Spag regrets opening up so much earlier, and he wants people to respect him as a lone-wolf-sorta-guy, not as some mushy loser with actual feelings. K-Nut Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Althior walked back into the hall after a nice date, and a great night. He sat down to wait for Alexis,() figuring this could be their final day together before they parted. He would try his hardest to keep Abraxas' spot under control, but he wasn't sure if he could.
