Fugazi Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 A grim man silently walks out of one of the (many, many) dark corners of the Heroica Hall. His appearance is generally unremarkable, and none of those seeing him materialise could tell if they've seen the man before or not. There's a faint smell of alcoohol about him, but his gaze is steady and intent. Without a word, he walks to the board at the bottom of the stairs. He spends an inordinate amout of time staring at the scant few notes pinned on the board. Finally, without signing his name he turns around and mutters to himself: Guarding guards? Hmphh... He then walks away towards the back of the Hall until his silhouette is lost in the shadows once more. Quote
Rufus Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Rufindel Galadhras also emerges from the shadows, nodding recognition at Galen Woodward as they pass. He, too, steps up to the Quest Board, but he scribbles his name hopefully next to the only available quest, number 23, Guarding the Guards. He has no experience of Watchmen, but he has the required Level of experience, and is indeed a Cleric. He then returns to the shadowy corner, palming a bottle of mead from the table as he passes. Bricksandparts Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Johon feels good to be back. Even though he had admitted it to himself that the hall could be boring, he felt good to be back. Johon notices some new heroes. walks the the center of the vast hall and looks up. He closes his eyes and takes in a deep breath. Johon walks up to Durkon. "I see we have some more heroes now." Johon nods to the new heroes and walks by. He even notices Rufindel leaning on a wall in the corner. He gives him a slight wave and turns to the quest-board. Guarding the guards... It sounded interesting, and since it was the only quest he signed up for it. All of a sudden, he sees a hero in the hall receive a message from the sky... He looked around, and saw a poster about Z-mail? He sees another poster about the Heroica Arena. He decides to go check it out. With that, Johons leaves the hall and walks to the Arena... Quote
CMP Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Atramor returns to the hall, still as gravely silent as the chicken perched on his head. He reads through Quest 23 tiredly. Town guard? Corrupt bastards couldn't be any worse than the Bonapartes. He scrawled his name on the signup list and dropped into a nearby chair, rubbing hie eyes. Quote
Mibbiwocket Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Seeing a fellow with a wide hat entering the hall with a chicken on his head, Olinn went over to introduce himself... To the chicken, that is. He didn't really like talking to other people unless he felt he had to, but he loved talking to animals. He seemed to have quite a way with them. Olinn used his special Ranger's animal-talk ability to converse with the bird. "Hello, Mr.s Chicken", he said sweetly. "My name is Olinn, what's yours? Oh, and these are my friends; Sparky the cat and Raoul the falcon." As he said this, Raoul stared wide-eyed at the chicken. He was in to interracial avian relationships ( ) Edited February 15, 2012 by Mibbiwocket Quote
CMP Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 All Olinn could read from McCafferey was deep-seated annoyance at...something. To Raoul's stare, she addressed the falcon directly with her 'usual' venom. "Keep your instincts and urges to yourself, hunter. And do not get your hopes up." Atramor blinked up at the Ranger, and up at his chicken. He shook his head sharply. "I wouldn't suggest talkin' to 'er right now, mate. Even I'm gettin' lost on her meaning." Quote
Mibbiwocket Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 "Oh, um... o-okay then, s-sorry Mrs. Chicken..." he squeaked, as he shuffled off back to his table, almost completely ignoring Atramor. He didn't understand - every other animal he had ever talked to before responded so remarkably well to him - this was a strange and different one indeed, he thought to himself. Raoul was not so easily irked, however. "Come on, mi amor, all I want is a chance to, how you say, 'ruffle your feathers'!" cawed the falcon suggestively, in a Spanish accent, to McCafferey. Quote
CMP Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Atramor continued rubbing his chin in though, ignorant of the reply McCafferey sent via what seemed to be telepathy to Raoul. "You strike me as foolish as this bloody rogue but as entertaining as the submissive aura. Perhaps another time, I am not in the slightest in the mood right now. Damn idiot," she ended, as Atramor absentmindedly took a sip of Draedic Rum, disrupting the chicken's perch. Edited February 15, 2012 by CallMePieOrDie Quote
Mibbiwocket Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) "As I am a gentleman, I shall rexpect your wishes, senorita..." Raoul replied, as he bowed (as well as a bird possibly could) and flew back to Olinn. Sparky the cat stared at McCafferey, but for a much different reason than Olinn's other pet. The feline could imagine her now, all crispy and dripping with gravy..." Edited February 15, 2012 by Mibbiwocket Quote

Jebediahs Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Nur hands Ellaria an Emerald from his pouch of gems. He finds a seat in the Hall and waits for the pale skin mage and rogue to make their selection from the remaining gems (Aquamarine, Ruby, Sapphire). Quote

Masked Builder Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Alexis walks into the hall after her quest. It is good to be home she thinks to herself. She sees that there's a quest on the board and she signs herself up for Quest #23. As Alexis continues into the bar, she sees the phoenix that Nur has, and walks over to him to talk to about it. "What a cute little bird you have there Nur. Do you have a name for it? I suppose I could ask it if it has a name if you want." She was much happier now that she had talked with Althior, but she was still concerned about Ellaria. Hopefully she would be alright. Quote
