Masked Builder Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Alexis walked into the hall and removed her name from the list for Quest #23. She had decided to stay in the hall until Althior came back so that they could spend some time together. She walked to the bar, got herself a drink, and sat at a table hoping someone would come into the hall to talk too. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Johon sees Alexis in a saddened or longing state. He walks over and sits at the table. "You ok? Anything I can do for you?" Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Cronk back! There was long line for outhouse. Cronk made it in time, though. Cronk sit back down at table now. Time to start cycle again. Cronk would like some more buttermilk, please, Scheherazade. How are all of Cronk's new friends doing now? Quote
Chromeknight Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Cronk sit back down at table now. Time to start cycle again. Cronk would like some more buttermilk, please, Scheherazade. Nerwen climbed the stairs to the saloon, looking around to see who was in the hall. She was greeted with the incongruous vision of a figure clad in bright, polished armor. Before him sat a mug of milk and a long pink straw curled from the liquid up, around and in through one of the holes of the plumed helmet. Clearly he was enjoying his drink. Nerwen smiled at the sight and moved closer. As she did so it became clear that the figure was both an orc and a paladin. Her curiosity piqued, Nerwen sat at the table with the orc and said in orcish <Hail and well met -warrior of strength> Quote

But yes, you're right, since we are in a human city, let us speak common. And yes, I am a cleric. But you yourself have had more than a brush with the higher powers, since you are a paladin. Your story must be intriguing indeed. Tell me, if you would, where have you traveled from? Quote

Cronk bash evil wizard that also happened be King's brother and King not like Cronk so much. Cronk exiled. Cronk have many adventures before coming to Eubric. Bash much evil. Cronk only just become Paladin so Cronk not as familiar with higher powers as Nerwen. Cronk follow Righteous Light of Ennoc for guidance. Quote
Endgame Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) I had finally reached my resolve. My 428 years of experience would be useful for the Hall. I walked into the hall, only for a pang of self pity to surge within me. All these people... Real. Brought to this world by normal means. I hated being a necromancers child. I hated being just one of his experiments, one so successful that he took his own handiwork as his kin. Supposedly, I was a mere baby when my village burnt down, dis-configuring me. I was buried, and later, brought back by the necromancer. No knowledge of my 6 real months before becoming the undead abomination I am now. Eventually, I accepted the fact that I wasn't human. Though I was revived with skin, it has peeled. My appearance, and my life with no natural end, may scare more squeemish heroes... But I don't care. Sorrow, Level 1 Rogue. Hp: 7/7 Power: 4 Gold: 10 Inventory: Scythe, venom, Potion OOC: If there is any thing that needs fixing, please alert me. Thanks! I;ll have a picture up by the end of the week. I walks up to the hero, who was actually brave enough to apporach me. You'd think all the undead abomination stuff and skinless thing would ward him off! "Sorrow, at your service" I says has he shakes the kind man's hand. I briefly excuse myself for a moment to shatter my necroscythe outside. Being the thing that brought me back to the world, it has brought me much grief. Finally busting the insidious thing marks the start of a new life. I go back inside to see if durkon is still there. Xarrzan Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 "Sarick, can I borrow your Healing Staff for a second?" Sarick was feeling slightly better, but was still recovering from the time travel sickness he had endured. He was in a foul mood and the stench of death did not help. Sarick turned to address the speaker. He flicked his tongue out to taste the air and felt a glimmer of magic from the speaker. "We have never met yet you know my name. You might have heard it spoken in the hall or read it from the list of heroesss so I will let that pass. But you have not introduced yourself nor are we friends yet you presume it is acceptable to borrow my itemsss?" Sarick flicked his head in the direction of the undead. "And you associate with this perversion of life? The Priestess, highest authority of my people, does not suffer the presence of undead in our nation. If you plan to use the healing staff to assist this 'hero', then the answer is no. You cannot borrow the healing staff." Quote

"I've come to accept the fact that I am undead - even if he was to borrow the staff, I would refuse the healing. In my opinion, only a fool would run from himself - but that's another discussion entirely." Sorrow let out a chuckle. "Even if the staff was to be used on me, the 428 years that I've spent wandering would probably take it's toll on me. Aiding someone as a pile of dust and robes would be a rather challenging feat. I hope my... status doesn't cause any ill-will between us two. Sarick, was it?" I say, extending my hand. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) Elgar saw Atramor was back and walked up to him and said " Nice to see you again, though I bring bad news. Hope you are alright on your quest. Sir Glorfindel has left heroica and left you 100 gold and a bone." Elgar then hands over the money and bomb Edited February 21, 2012 by Jedi master Brick Quote

CMP Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Atramor blinks as Elgar sets Glorfindel's stuff on the table before him. McCafferey looks up momentarily from a book she appears to have been reading - a rather pristine leather back containing a catalog of those in around Eubric. Several entries have been scratched out by her talons. "Left Heroica? Damn shame. Glorfy was a fine questmate." He rubs the odd scar on his cheek and accepts the items, but in the back of his mind he can't help questioning why one would leave Heroica. All the food and shelter to eat, gold and fame aplenty out on these quests. Not to mention the chance to....well, help people. Yet as soon as he had the thought, a shadow crept over it, gone, leaving only the gold and fame...fame and gold...power? Atramor's keen eyes looked up to McCafferey. The chicken was still poring over the book...but it didn't stem the flow of what seemed to be satisfaction that emanated. With a shiver, he strolled off to the marketplace - or perhaps refuge. Quote

When you are ready, just throw your hat into the ring and challenge me. That is, if you can handle a 428 year-old undead slaughter machine." I chuckled for the second time that day. I wonder if this will become a habit for me... Quote

Jebediahs Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Nur had enjoyed watching the arena sparring matches put on by some of the heroes. He thought it was nice of Alf to let one such combatant beat him in combat in order to boost the new hero's confidence. He went up the Hall stairs to see who was present. He spotted the baby phoenix next to Alexis amd began to stroke his chin. If only he'd had a ruby he would have merged it with the bird to serve as a combat summon. Nur chuckled at the awkward encounter between the abomination and the naga before heading back to the arena. Quote
Zepher Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Boomingham watches the mage that he had met a few quests ago quickly enter and exit the hall. He sighed. Who in the hall was his friend? He had written a letter to Hybros, but he had not received a response, and none in the hall seemed to take notice of the battle weary Paladin. Boomingham was afraid that if he got more lonely and bored he'd have to start a singing and dancing routine to get some attention. Quote
