Eric chuckled. "I'm here for the free food and drink of course!" he replied as he raised his bottle of mead in the air. He then took another swig before adressing Boomingham.

"How have you been, old man?"

Boomingham laughs and pats Eric on the back. "Perfect response. No other reason to be anywhere, is there? Glory and honor are all good and fine, but food and drink... they're the reason to live, no doubt! Though I'm afraid I've gotten myself two guardian angels recently, neither of which supports my drinking habits." Boomingham indicates Hoke and Barty. "They're good kids, but they won't let me touch the stuff until after noon."

"Kids?! You think you're old, Lawrence?! Oh no, I've been alive for thousands of years! I saw you be born, and I'll see you die."

“Fair day to you my friends!  Lord Boomingham, let’s work up a thirst first before we partake.  I would like to test your steel to see if it truly does shine as you say it does in your battles.  I have discovered a perfect place to spar in a grove not too far outside the city walls. Care to join us Tesni?"

Boomingham nods. "Let me eat a little first and catch up with Eric, and I'd be honored to join you. Tesni as well, though that sword of her gives me the heebie-jeebies."

Eric smiled. It felt good to be among friends again. Especially friends who he hadn't seen for a long time. Eric gestured the barmaid and ordered some more drinks and meals.

"Be glad you have people caring about you, Larry" Eric chuckled. He reminisced about the past. "I once had a guardian, too." he said and slid his hand through his cut hair. He then continued, a smile on his face "she would've been so cross at me for having messed up my hair so badly I had to cut it. She always loved my hair..."

Scherehazade brought the order. A drink and meal for both Eric and Boomingham. "It's been a while since I had some decent food" Eric murmured and started stuffing the food in his mouth, washing it down with ale.

Hybros stepped in the hall the next day, in a much better mood since he had gotten some rest. He saw Erdathcath leaving, and caughther by the arm.

"Leaving so soon? Well, good luck, eheh." He let go and gave a small wave before turning his attention to a group of burly warriors, which included Eric, Boomingham, and another man who was leaving with Erdathcath and some others. He took a seat at the table.

"Hello again, friends," he said with a weary smile. "It is good to see you again, Lawrence. And it seems you've got a new friend there, eheh." He noted the small fairy on his broad shoulder. "Tell me, how have you been? You seem much... stronger than before."

"And Eric, heheheh... you look very different. How have you been since our quest together? You also seem stronger than just yesterday... have you been training with this Copper Fox I've been hearing about?".

He then turned to the muscular woman. "I'm not sure if we've met before. I'm Hybros," he said with a nod. "Tesni is your name?"

"Hybros, my friend. Take a seat, join us. Have a beer" Eric said in between swallowing his food and shoveling new food in his mouth. He handed a bottle of ale to Hybros. "I'm okay. Nothing special happened since we last met. I have trained with the Copper Fox indeed, nothing really special, though. I think I could think him in a battle." Eric boasted, grinning.

A stranger walk to the table.

Johon walks over to Eric.

"Hello, I believe we've met?" Johon can't hardly recognize Eric. "How are you, my good friend?"

Eric briefly looked up to see who was adressing him, but then returned his gaze to his plate of food, which he had almost cleared.

"We've met? I can't recall that happening..." the Nord said, not even bothering to look at Johon. He then continued eating and drinking, leaving Johon standing there perplexed. He hated it when random folks started adressing him as "friend" while they barely knew each other. He especially detested such behaviour during meals.

"I think we met after your first quest with the farmer... I can't remember the name, what was it?"

Haldor returned from the library, having given the note he dictated to Jess to Byblos to add to the leaflet that the man Drake had left. But when he walked back to the hall, he could have sworn he saw a strange dark red blur moving on the rooftops, and a movement in the alleys. But it was probably nothing, Haldor knew there was nothing that could move in that way anyway, apart from one thing he had read of in the Norse scriptures...

Haldor sat with Jess, looking slightly apprehensive, but cleared the expression to speak with her.

"Ah, Jess, I see you again. Thank you for doing that piece for me, you know that I can't very well write. But you do it so well, you must have been taught good in the Elven places you came from. I want to know more about where you lived, damn I've bored you enough with my past. What was it like home for you? Probably nothing like the North.

It must be beautiful there, to have spawned one such as you."

Hybros took the bottle, but didn't drink from it. He hated such vile beverages, made by man.

"Yes, I'm sure you could, old friend. I don't think I'm quite ready for that sort of training just yet, though. In what practices have you trained in? You know, little old me could teach even you a thing or two about stealth and... thievery. Eheh."

"I decided to pick up my old Raiding trade again. There wasn't a lot of new stuff the Copper Fox could teach me. I guess I'll just have to hone my pickpocketing skills on the streets later on."

As Eric was talking with Hybros, Johon interfered again. It was obvious the kind-hearted Barbarian was looking for a companion, but Eric was in no mood to aid him in his search.

"I think we met after your first quest with the farmer... I can't remember the name, what was it?"

"I think you mistake me for the wrong guy. I never went on a farmer's Quest." Eric said, again not really paying any attention to Johon.

As nothing was really happening to interest Tesni, she took out Dryw and began polishing it. This was surely the finest blade to grace the hall. While Cysgodion was a formidable opponent and great allie, this simple shaft of metal could deal great damage to any enemy. She regarded her reflection in the blade and thought back to her battles.

"I come from a huge forest in the South. I know, stereotyping myself here, but I can't help where I've come from. The trees are hundreds of feet tall, with a reddish bark. Fronds litter the forest, and game is abundant. That's why most of my kinfolk are rangers now; they honed their bow skills by hunting the wood. I'm not that bad with a bow myself, you know."

*cough*

Hybros noted the woman's blade, and recognized the dark metal. "That's a Zoot's Plaything, isn't it?"

Alexis looks around as more heroes join the table. She turns to the shorter creature at the table and address him. "I do not believe we have met. I am Alexis Fenral a Evoker here at Heroica."

He then continued, a smile on his face "she would've been so cross at me for having messed up my hair so badly I had to cut it. She always loved my hair..."

"A woman?" Boomingham asks, a eyebrow raised. "For you? I've always seen you more as a lone ranger type myself! But yes.... yes, the other sex does indeed snare the best of us..." Boomingham sits quietly for a few seconds.

"Hello again, friends," he said with a weary smile. "It is good to see you again, Lawrence. And it seems you've got a new friend there, eheh." He noted the small fairy on his broad shoulder. "Tell me, how have you been? You seem much... stronger than before."

Barty opens his mouth to talk, but Boomingham swiftly tosses his drink on the little angel, soaking him. Barty sputters in protest. "Better than in my mouth, right?" Boomingham teases the little angel.

"I've been fine. If I look stronger it's because I've swung my mighty blade at just about everything that lives and breaths. Bugs, dead creatures, generals, rock monsters, snowmen, hell, even some folks from before my original time. What about you my little genius friendo? Win any other battles with your little tactics?"

"Hybros is my name, miss. An Evoker you say? I hear those kind can summon spirits, eheh... which ones accompany you?"

"Don't tempt her," he chuckles. "Her birds and dragons are a little big for in here. Near gave me a heart attack. And you two do know each other. Even with my fuzzy brain I remember you two quested together with Eric and I when we fought Umbra. Apparently you didn't make much of an impression on each other, or maybe you've been clubbed on the head one too many times."

"This vile stuff is sticky when it dries?!" exclaims Barty in disgust and dismay, noticing the alcohol's effects. "What is wrong with you?! Why do you consume this?"

Tesni noticed the figure from the shadows, he must be from one of the stealthy races, she hadn't noticed him nor his greeting. "Indeed, this is a plaything Dryw ar Zoot I named it. Defeating the chaos beast was tough but this blade was a fine reward."

"It sounds nice, I like trees. The stand up against the world, rain or shine, defiant. When they fall, they are dignified in death, standing strong. Fine with a bow? I wouldn't be surprised, you are good at a many things. I never liked them myself, could never hit anything, much prefer something to hit with. But enough of that, are you thinking of taking the archery further?"

"Hybros, hmm...That name seems to ring a bell. Yes, I can summon a Dragon and a Thunderbird to right. Though little Mandy here." She comes around and lands on the table. "Is just my traveling companion."

Alexis laughs. "Yes, I always seem to startle someone when I summon Ocven here. Bah silly me, now that I think about it, you are correct Boomingham. Though, it was such a long time ago when we went and did that quest together."

"I had a wife in the past. We didn't stay together for too long, though. Married life just isn't cut out for me. I hate being tied down to one person and one place. I much prefer the great outdoors." the Nord grinned.

Eric finished his beer and then bade evrybody farewell. He then left the Hall to wander Eubric again.

Elgar went out for a walk, out of the city. It was night, he lay down on the grass looking at the sky, the stars. It was stunning he loved looking out to space, seeing what was beyond. He walke back to the hall to see now all of his friends were now questing. E

Gar was lonely as planet in space.

"It sounds like you've been on many interesting adventures, eheh. I was locked away for some time... and Eric and myself have infiltrated an arena and the fort of some pirates since we last met, Lawrence."

"Yes, actually, eheh... you see, I don't usually drink but these chemicals made by men... they do help with staying alert in battle. And I've picked up a few throwing knives along the way."

"Don't tempt her," he chuckles. "Her birds and dragons are a little big for in here. Near gave me a heart attack. And you two do know each other. "Hehehe... forgive me, miss. It's been awhile since we last met, and it is hard to keep track of everyone I have met since..." He decided to simply give a bow to the fair elf.

"This vile stuff is sticky when it dries?!" exclaims Barty in disgust and dismay, noticing the alcohol's effects. "What is wrong with you?! Why do you consume this?"

Hybros grinned. At least he wasn't the only one in Heroica who stayed away from alcohol.

Tesni noticed the figure from the shadows, he must be from one of the stealthy races, she hadn't noticed him nor his greeting. "Indeed, this is a plaything Dryw ar Zoot I named it. Defeating the chaos beast was tough but this blade was a fine reward."

Hybros glared at the weapon. It seemed to call to him, much like Zoot's Reaper did when he first received it. Evil whispers... he broke his gaze and looked up at Tesni. "Chaos beast, you say? You haven't encountered that witch Wren, have you?"

"Hybros, hmm...That name seems to ring a bell. Yes, I can summon a Dragon and a Thunderbird to right. Though little Mandy here." She comes around and lands on the table. "Is just my traveling companion."

"Mm." Hybros wondered what sorts of spirits would accompany him if he were able to summon them. He turned his attention to the phoenix resting on the table. "That's quite the bird you have there. Phoenixes are very rare, from what I know. Where did you get it?"
